I would not recommend this place to a friend. I give it a three star for the discount given for a first groom. The groomers left our dog soaking wet. We paid for a face, feet and fanny which they didn't do. I just believe the techs are not fully trained nor managed well enough to do expected grooming service. read more

Nothing wrong with the employees/customer service however when i was looking at the Beta fishes i couldn't help but notice that these poor fishes are living in tiny jars and the water isn't even filled all the way up, these beta fishes look neglected and sad! I walked in and talked to someone in grooming and she was completely out of it. Could barely answer questions and when she finally did it was with the worst attitude ever. Who hires and trains these ppl? I had the simplest questions and wasn't asking for any favors other than to do your job. Yeesh, it doesn't end there. Apparently, I couldn't do a self wash on my dog because the grooming office closed in an hour. In an hour!!! This is what the manager told this employee to tell me. This is why ppl find any alternative to not deal with Petco employees. I'll pay double to not be treated this way. read more

This is a pretty nice Petco. I go in here every once in awhile to get my Greyhound a treat or pick up a last minute item for our cats. Staff is always very friendly and as helpful as they can be. Store does a lot of adoption events and some events with the County so I am thankful for that. read more

This is the second time I have brought my Standard Poodle in for a custom cut, shampoo and clipped nails. Amy and Jennifer are the ones who I ask for from now on, not only did they do exactly what I wanted but went above and beyond. I have one happy puppy every time and He looks and smells awesome! I have been to other places but these two girls are fantastic and they show a lot of pride, care and professionalism. I just don't dig (get it? dig like a dog? me funny) Petco. I'm sorry...and sure, this location is better than the Lancaster one, but probably 'cause its newer. So I'm sure it'll slowly disintegrate in the near future. We have been super happy with Petco. Retail and Grooming. On the retail side most of them always remember me. My dog will absolutely tell us when she's not happy with a groomer. If she has been treated poorly by a groomer you can just tell by the way she acts when you pick her up. We've been taking her to be groomed here for about a year and a half and she's still happy when we drop her off and pick her up. Totally a fan of this store. read more

My dog had contracted fleas ( Yikes, just moved to Oregon from another state where fleas were not an issue) and had never been to a groomer. I was a bit nervous in taking my Golden Retriever to the Petco grooming center, but now I am very glad that I did - Jennifer did an excellent job! My dog was a happy camper when I picked him up, and the bath and hair trim were accomplished with out incident. I don't shop here a lot, so I can only comment about my few visits. The prices seem a little on the high side, but there seems to be a good selection of products (maybe even too good for some categories). The staff have been nice, but I haven't needed much assistance so I can't say how helpful or knowledgable they are. I have spent most of my visits in the dog and cat section(s) and haven't had a problem finding what I was looking for. If this store was closer to home I might shop here more, but with two closer "local" stores I find it's usually not worth it. read more

We took our happy chocolate lab in to get groomed... right off I got the feeling that the grooming counter person didn't really like her job or animals (maybe she was having a bad morning?). They took our lab and called a few hours later when he was ready to be picked up. We could hear him barking the minute we walked in, the lady confirmed that yes, that was our dog and we can take him now... kinda odd. He's not usually a barker, so that didn't sit very well with me. He looked great from the trimming he got. It was kinda expensive at $60.00. Later in the day, I noticed him licking the end of his tail and when looking more closely, I could see that the end of his tail got nicked or cut about one inch long with the trimmer they used. I'm sure he was hard to trim being so wiggly and all, and I know accidents can happen, but they should have known if an accident did occur and let us know. They may even have a vet there that could have looked at it and wrapped it up. I'm dissappointed about this and won't be taking my dog back. It feels like they didn't care enough to treat a wound they had caused and I feel bad for putting my dog though all that read more

Dave's pet grooming closed over 1yr ago so we started going 2 petco keizer. every single time we've gone we've been disappointed w/grooming. this time we asked for just a bath and a clean face. we hav a shet zu bishon mix and we now have a poodle cut dog. he came bac emotionally scarred, i dont know what happened saturday morning but we wont be going bac just cause its close 2 home. read more

Never again will I take my dog to any Petco location solely based on my experience here. They gave my dog a horrendous razor burn on her stomach that resulted in medical treatment due to an infection. To make it worse, I was never informed of this razor burn hence why it got so bad. I had the worst experience ever at the Keizer Station Petco. I've been going there for quite sometime, because my local, family owed pet store was closed. My dog has always barked at the birds and mice. It's her time to get out, and just use her "voice". Lori, an employee, whom I've never encountered, approached me and advised me not to have my dog bark at the birds. I agreed with her as it may distress them. Done. Walked away. As I was checking out, there was an issue with my rewards points, I had to go online, blah blah and Lori said the counter employee "could not call corporate to have them fix and apply in store" however it has been done before. I explained to her that it had been done before, and she continued to argue with me, giving me the same dictation on how to do this MYSELF. I told her that she was being combative, and we are going round and round, and this conversation was over to quit. But she didn't. She went for round 2 same lecture. Again, I told her she was being combative and I didn't like her attitude, again, advised her this conversation was OVER. She then, FINALLY walked away. The employee reluctantly called to get my rewards points added. He cleared his throat over and over. He's being paid by the hour, so what did it matter? I addressed my dislike of attitude, and advised the lovely manager, that her employee needed to know, the number one rule of "customer services" the customer is always right. A word to advise: if you can, and I will, continue or use a local business for sales and support. Petco sucks because LORI was a brat and unprofessional for arguing and refusing to stop.
