I am very unhappy with the hair cuts that my fur babies received. I did not receive the haircut I requested for on. Two pot of three fur babies. First fur baby I asked for a clean face, Mohawk and Labradoodle summer cut on the body. When I asked the employee (young man) he told me because it would it looks SILLY if we would've done that. i was expected to pay the $95 for the haircut that I did not receive. Second  fur baby haircut was to have Pom Pom on the legs and tail and summer cut on the body. Paw's (2) have gouges on the paws.Is very similar to what I requested. I did showed the young man a photo of the haircut I wanted . Third fur baby grooming is acceptable. I have been going to Ashley's pet Artistry for about 4 years . This last 8 months they have had horrible, disappointing customer service. They cancel at the last minute. They text to reschedule then don't answer the text , phone mailbox is full, don't answer emails . Communication is awful . Been going here for a while but lately they've been nothing but disappointment .. I'm sure I won't be coming back here .. instead of doing the haircut they've decided to shave my dog down to nothing.. without freaking asking.. she wasn't matted, as I've brushed her right before I took her in .. so if u don't know how to do it job that's your problem but paying u $70 for just shaving her down on the small dog is ridiculous.. Ive been looking for a place for a while that can cut my Pomeranians hair to a short fluffy style. His undercoat is really thick so he is often hot. I decided to try out Ashley's and i am extremely happy with the results. Every line of this cut looks perfect, he's still fluffy but has a nice new short cut. We have a Parson Russell Terrier, a breed that usually requires a groomer to hand strip the dogs coat. Since we have not been successful at finding a groomer in Salem that practices this technique, we've settled on groomers to "trim" our Parson instead. Our dog is 10 years old now, and through the years we've accepted the fact that each time she gets groomed she may come out looking like a Poodle, a Westie, or sometimes a Schnauzer. For a groomer to work with our dog, who has developed a soft fine coat, it's a challenge to know just what to do. Once Covid hit, we put a halt on visiting the groomer, and continued to bathe her ourselves. After 5 months, our dog took on the look of a miniature sheepdog. We attempted to trim her on our own, but ultimately realized that we needed a professional! In my search for groomers, Ashley's Pet Artistry was the only groomer that I found that addressed Covid-19 safety measures on their website. This was the most important factor for us. After learning about their careful commitment towards safety, I took notice of Ashley's accomplishments in various grooming styles and techniques, and decided to set up an appointment. This place doesn't even deserve one star! I purchased Groupons for my three dogs. First off, She would not schedule more than one of my dogs per day (was told it was because of the discounted price), then did a horrible job on our first dog. When bringing the first dog in and telling them how we'd like them groomed, we were told, "It's up to the groomer how their hair is cut" Our dog came back terrified, refusing to eat, drink or go outside to the bathroom. She cancelled the appointment for the second dog and told us she'd call back and reschedule and never did. After not receiving a call back, we finally called them back and rescheduled again, only for her not to bother even showing up, then txted the receptionist stating that she was refusing to service our dogs! Are you kidding me? What a horrible, unprofessional business, if you even want to call it a business. I will never return there and recommend to anyone that asks, to never go there either. read more

Your reply to my rating is inaccurate. We have taken the same dog to your business and others and have ALWAYS been charged a Large Dog rate because she is not extra large. According to your website she is not in the extra large weight class). When she was picked up we were told the additional charge was due to her joints in her legs being unable to be bent. I had scheduled an appointment for both my dogs and on the phone was told to bring them in at 8:30. The day before I only got a confirmation email for one of my dogs for a 9:30 appt. I called and left a message asking if this was accurate or if I should still bring in both dogs at 8:30, no reply. The next morning I get another email only confirming the 9:30 appoint and figure that is their response to my voicemail. I assume it had been a scheduling error and shrugged it off and planned to still bring my one dog in for his 9:30. I get a call at 9:10 as I'm getting ready to leave and they tell me that both dogs were on the schedule for 8:30 and that I was considered a "no show" and that the appointment slot had been filled. I explain my situation and ask "so should I just bring in my dog for the 9:30 appt for which I got two confirmation emails from?" And they say that both slots had already been filled. Extremely unprofessional and unapologetic. They blamed it on their computer system. First time customer today (30 June 18) and was EXTREMELY disappointed with Ashley! My cat's appointment was at 830 AM was told it would be about 1.5 hours, 1.5 hours later we get a call that the groomer had a flat tire and it still would be "awhile" before she got in. Meanwhile my cat is sitting in his cardboard carrier for 1.5 hours without even being started! What kind of caring animal groomer would do that?! what kind of business women would NOT contact the customer right away instead of waiting 1.5 hours to let me know my cat hadn't even been started! Ashley is in the millennial generation so the work ethic and customer service shouldn't be surprising to me! Wasn't even offered an apology, a discount on another appt or anything to try to make the situation better. Apparently her customers time is not nearly as important as hers.....needless to say I will not recommend and will not try to reschedule with this business.
