This place is a hell no for me I walked in with my dog ready to drop him off so I could go to work. I walk in the lady only asks for his name no documentation to verify his vaccinations or that it is the dog on file. She took him to a back room and I could hear growling and barking from the other dogs so I decided to peak around the corner and it is just lines of crates with dogs stuffed in them all the same size no matter if the dog was a lab or chihuahua, puppy or elderly. There were also aggressive sounding dogs there and I could tell my dog was not comfortable especially having that lady just drag him to the crate. I had to continuously yell for the lady to come back to the front with him but she didn't so I walked to the back and got him myself she asked me what the matter was and I said he's not staying here she told me they are barking because they are about to go for a walk.. yea right read more

Left my dog overnight for a test run for a longer stay. He came home with blood red in the whites of his eyes. They said nothing occurred except he pulled away from being kenneled. They said it could have been caused by stress??? His eyes over a week or so has since healed and now white, from what was obviously, either choking, over restraint or some other form of trauma. My dog just did 8 days with Parkway Pet Resort and he was a little hoarse from barking but no blood red in the whites of his eyes. Don't know what occurred on Das Haus's watch but I don't plan on bringing him there again. read more

After my husband boarded our dog, with a company he thought he could trust, he picks our dog up and every employee he came in contact with was extremely rude and unpleasant. He felt like none of them wanted to work. (Not a good look when you're trusting someone to watch over your dog). Our dog seemed almost lethargic and immediately drank a whole bottle of water right after my husband picked him up. TERRIBLE. WORST EXPERIENCE. read more

I had made a reservation for my cat to be boarded here, but upon arrival they showed me where he would be kept. It was a large room in back with dogs lined up in crates, all barking and crying. He would have been in a taller bird cage looking thing among them. I said sorry this won't work and left. I would not bring my dog here for boarding either. read more

If you would like ONLY a place for your dog to go while you cannot be home then this place is fine. I was extremely uncomfortable dropping my dog off here as they gave it set up as a prison. Crates lined up and dogs hollering in each of them. Their "play area" is just a concrete slab that's fenced off so imagine their paws in the heat. As soon as I picked her up she needed to pee and poop meaning she's been in that crate for the majority of the time.... Like I said just for safety sure but if you would like your dog to not be traumatized and caged the entire day, seek other care. I usually don't like to complain but Tori is one of the rudest people I have ever encountered! She gave me attitude on the phone when all I wanted was information about Covid procedures. Very rude when I came in person as well and was just sitting around doing nothing. So unfortunate since I was nothing but friendly. Going forward I don't think I will be leaving my dog there with a person like that. read more

With high expectations, I brought my dog here recently. My dog adores the ground that I walk on & can be needy in the fact that he likes attention & to be right next to people. When his not getting attention or is constrained in a cage, he will bark. He likes freedom but won't go anywhere. Upon picking him up, (which took an off amount of time after they got my name & dog) he barley paid attention to me, which I knew was very odd, as he is excited to see me after 15mins go by. Once we got back into my truck, I noticed 3 scares on his nose, but they were very uniform. Initially, I thought maybe another dog was rough with him, as my dog is not aggressive, whatsoever. When we got home, he drank 2, large, full bowls of water. (80# dog) He continued to turn down some of his favorite treats (which were included in his boarding bag) Over the course of the next 24 hours, I noticed that he was not barking when he heard noises & he certainly was not himself. Very lethargic. Finally, he barked & it was a very raspy, coarse bark & it was easy to tell that it caused him pain. I started connecting the dots-the scars on his nose, the excess water he drank when we got home, lack of personality & not barking....I firmly believe that my dog was muzzled for an extended period of time, probably way too long considering the raised scares on his nose & snout. At no time have I ever muzzled my dog & certainly did not give permission to do so. He is still not his bouncy, normal self & certain hope that he returns to him normal self, soon. I hate to think if anything more that may have happened while he was there. read more

I was at a total loss about how to manage my out of control rescue, Chewey! DHH manager, Cathy Patrick, put me at ease immediately. I put my yorkie in for partial day while attending a funeral. It is a warehouse of cages. I told them this was the first time boarding him. They said we could call to check on him anytime. We tried calling 3 times and got no answer or return calls. When we picked him up we asked how he did. The woman said "I don't know the other woman is gone. He was wet and smelled like urine. Attended an Intro to Barn Hunt workshop here with my dog and not only had a great time but learned a lot as well! The class included building prey drive, learning to work the course and then gaining some practice running an instinct course with the rats in their tubes. Initially I was honestly concerned about the well-being of the rats as I couldn't imagine that they would enjoy being "hunted" but after speaking with coworkers and the instructors its obvious that they care deeply about their animals and use training tools to help not only keep them safe but happy working around the dogs! The other patrons were very respectful and gave each others dogs lots of space which was greatly appreciated - as someone who trains using reward based training I was also happy to report that the whole event was force free and honestly its more about letting your dog do what they do best (sniff) and rewarding them when they do! People of all training styles came out and from what I could tell everyone had a great time! read more

I was able to attend Jill's Manners 101 class with my 3 year old dog. This class has taught me so much about dog behavior and learning to be the alpha. My dog has learned a tremendous amount of material and is much better trained since this class. I continue to bring her to daycare as well on some days because she enjoys playing with all the dogs. When I take her home she is always exhausted from her long day at daycare. I can't imagine taking my fur baby anywhere else! read more

Well with my patience becoming short and our sweet, big lab out of control, I researched and researched and found DHH. We decided to do a two week board and train program with Jill and the gang. We picked Sully up this past Monday, nervous, hopeful, excited. It's an investment, and I was crossing my fingers Sully would have learned at least a little something for the price. Y'all, if you are frustrated with your dog, in need of guidance, this is the place. Sully is a NEW DOG. I joked with Jill and said I feel like she broke a wild mustang. Our dog is just wonderful. I can walk and run with him without being torn to the ground. I can sit on my couch without Sully barking at me incessantly. I can open the front door without a total k-9 freak out. Our sweet, cuddly dog has become even better than I expected. I was worried about a board and train being that my husband and I weren't the ones in command. But Jill spent tons of time explaining and demonstrating to us the skills and tools we needed to be successful with our "new" dog. She also gave us a long letter of instructions, explaining the individuality of our dog and his needs/wants/strengths/weaknesses. It has been an easy transition from "boarding school" back to home, not just because Jill trained Sully, but she trained us. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Sully each day, ensuring his trained mind stays sharp. I have a new thing to look forward to when I get home each day, spending time with my dog and learning together. He seems to enjoy it too! Overall this has been a wonderfully positive experience with DHH. I can't wait to start more classes in April with DHH and continuing to learn. I am so happy, but most importantly, it is obvious how much happier Sully is. read more

JILL is a PHENOMENAL trainer and business owner. We completed Manners 101, and we're currently enrolled in 102. We've seen remarkable progress in our dog! It was such a great experience we chose to bring both of our dogs to Jill for boarding. She truly has a gift. Our dogs L-O-V-E her. We plan to participate in ANY activities available at Das Hund House. We haven't worked with the other trainers there, but we've watched them train other dogs. Everyone there is well qualified, and the dogs receive exceptional care and attention. read more

Our family has had several dogs and we've driven all the way from Tampa to bring them to Das Hund Haus. It's far better than any of our local options. The folks here truly care and have taken the time to educate us about behavior and training. We started with boarding and decided to take some classes. AWESOME place for your dog to receive classes and boarding!! I am a newbie when it comes to taking care of a very active puppy, but once I enrolled her in the obedience class, I saw a positive change. The staff are very knowledgeable and also quite friendly (Jill is amazeballs). The place is CLEAN, which is very important to me because I would never leave my baby ANYWHERE if the place smelled and wasn't properly ventilated. I can board her here and have peace of mind when I am away from her. read more
