I recently just went into the Vetco clinic at the Petco store. I have used this company services for their clinic for vaccinations and wellness checks. But I've never gone in and used the Vetco services. I was so pleasantly surprised with the service, the friendliness, the staff efficiency, and overall experience. I felt very inclined to create their profile here on yelp to share with others. I was one of the first clients to come in, and I also work with animal rescue folks. So I'm used to the day-to-day coming and goings of clinics, staff and emergencies as well. From the time I stepped in the door, I was greeted by such a a wonderful person, she was so pleasant, she greeted me and made me feel welcome. I believe her name was Misty, she is in charge of the customer check outs, billing and she also seemed to know quite a bit about the day-to-day operations of the facility. Mabel was the person who assisted us in the treatment room, prior to meeting our vet. All three of these individuals were exceptional. With the way they handled our appointment, the way I was spoken to was respectful and clear and the way that they handled the cat that I have brought in was just fabulous. They were gentle, smiling, welcoming, and the overall experience was a 10/10. Even when the vet walked in, her demeanor was so pleasant like she had all the time in the world to spend with my one animal, and it was important. All I was really, therefore was to get some blood work done, and they really treated her with gentle care and got her in and out of the clinic in great time. I have lived in Delaware County 50 years and never knew that Pet Smart has a Pet hotel, for both dogs and cats! 5- day camp is $142, 10 day camp is $270 and a 20 day camp is $510. Make sure your pets have their shots, if you are boarding them! They even have themed events such as "Toga Night" and "Backyard BBQ". For an extra $15 your pet will get some ice cream and you get his picture, having summertime fun! There are a bunch of add ons such as 30 minute 1-1 training sessions, Baths and salon service, relief walk time, extra attention before bed with photo and story, and extra play-time with photo. Whenever our pup needs a bath we take him here. It's affordable and are able to use the self washing area for our dog. The area is always clean and well maintained and the staff has been welcoming and friendly. read more

I have yet to have a good experience at this Petco location. For one, the are over priced but will price match any price PetSmart online prices which is normally A LOT cheaper than what they charge. Most recently, we made a grooming appointment for our 9 month old German shepherd puppy. We made the appointment two weeks in advance and were looking forward to it! I had called a day before to confirm the appointment after i missed 3 calls from them. When i called the lady on the phone was very quick to hang up the phone and did not give me the time of day. On the day of our appointment we showed up 15 mins early and during check-in we were told our appointment had been cancelled? Which was not the case bc i had called 24 hours before hand to confirm the appointment. We were then told that they had no room for "big dogs" and couldn't help us out. The lady in the grooming area with the short black hair gave us a standoffish attitude has soon as we walked up to check in. The check in lady was extremely unprofessional, too busy for costumers, and lacked any sort of eye contact. They offered to make an appointment on a day that one of their employees who handles big dogs comes in. Who hires groomers that only handle small dogs? Our German shepherd is the sweetest most lovable puppy but they seemed to not want to handle or deal with her. We will not be using this groomer ever again! If you have a big dog i suggest going to somewhere like petsmart where they hire professionals that know how to handle EVERY size dog. Oh and they won't randomly cancel your appointment and give you no warning! read more

Brand-new Petco in the "Promenade at Granite Run". Very clean (new) and stocked well. No issues. Prices on Eukenuba are a tad higher - so I will stick with my seed-feed store. Comparable to PetSmart but cleaner and seems better run - we'll check again in 6 months. Keep it groomed, people! read more

We've been going to this location for a couple of years. The groomers used to be great but now are not. I waited for about 20 minutes to check my dog into his appointment. That's okay. They texted me he was done and I walked to the counter to pick him up within 60 seconds. I waited another 15 minutes while hearing him in the back barking. I finally assertively asked for my dog and I'm the rude person?!? So the woman (who obviously does not love animals) took another 5 minutes in the back getting my dog. Will never ever be back here. Unfortunately had to cancel our upcoming vet appointment. Really love the vetco staff here but I don't want my dog in the same building as the grooming staff. How can you listen to an animal in distress and see me standing there all this time and not just get the dog. The one employee was extensively discussing a matted tail on a dog and the other one came back from her smoke break and ignored me. A third young man "didn't work in grooming and couldn't help". Get a different job if you don't care about animals. After checking his paws when we got home you didn't even trim his dewclaws. So you traumatized my dog and didn't even complete the simple task we came in for. read more

This review is solely for the groomers here. They are a nasty bunch who obviously have no compassion for animals. I took my medium size dog there and they handed her back to me unfinished (no nail trim, wet and obviously not brushed) and charged me full price. They justified this by saying she got aggressive and told me I needed to train her! My dog has her canine good citizen and is never aggressive unless someone behaves threateningly towards her. The staff was rude and curt from the get-go with her and I could here other dogs in the back barking in distress. The rest of the store is great, but they need to replace their grooming crew. read more

Overall the groomers are rude and curt . I have met one that was actually nice . They don't seem to like grooming my small pup because he is anxious while getting his hair cut . It's interesting that he has visited a different Petco for grooming and there was no problem at all and he was relaxed with the groomer. However , when he comes to this Petco , there is an issue with his anxiety . They encouraged that I schedule my pup for grooming more frequently to help reduce anxiety. They also tried to make me keep scheduling with a particular groomer who cause's high anxiety for my dog and who's schedule conflicts with mine . Also when , he left that particular appointment, he was shaking with anxiety during the entire car ride home which is not like him .I canceled the next appointment with this stylist and chose a different stylist. We attended the appointment and I was pleased with his grooming . He still experienced anxiety ,but not as bad as before. Upon checkout , they didn't offer me an opportunity to schedule his next appointment . I tried to schedule online and they froze my account from scheduling another appointment online . The website directed me to call in and schedule his next appointment .I called multiple times and then left a message with my concerns . A groomer called me back to schedule his next appointment with the new stylist he just saw. She didn't address my concerns or apologize for anything . I don't have any complaints regarding the grooming of my dog . However , the grooming staff are unprofessional and rude. I'm actually torn between continuing to allow them to groom my pup or taking him to another groomer altogether. I'm still somewhat offended because it seems that they tried to fire my pup as a client due to his anxiety. If you don't like your job or working with animals , just say that and find a new job . read more

DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. Unfortunately. We dropped off our puppy to groomed here... never again. The groomer completely disregarded our instructions and what she agreed to. Her excuse was "oh she was very matted. so I had to shave her down..." Which was a straight lie! Not only that she was supposed to call if she found matting. This a pure example of LAZY dishonest groomer. in addition for the 2nd time the groomer charged more than the total she said it would be. This place is dishonest. and not very good. All the places she said she was matted we specifically brush and comb every day... read more

Love this Petco! Stopped in on a Monday morning and it was immaculately clean. Lots of cute little critters. Huge selection of toys, which makes my fur baby happy. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I love petco and this one is especially great. read more
