My dog was groomed here last week. This is the 4th groomer in 3 years. I think we have finally found a groomer who can do their job right and treat animals exceptionally. From the minute I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and friendly. Greeted by the owner and his staff, and was immediately impressed. Puppy was done in a little over 2 hours and while she was ready to leave, she was happy and not traumatized as she has been at previous groomers. She normally shakes like a leaf when I drop off/pickup, but there was none of that this time. Wonderful clean place. Owner and staff showed excellent customer service. I will be back with my pup. So I am new to dashing dogs as I have not long had my new puppy he is a happy little chap. Well was until I got him back from dashing dogs. I couldn't believe they didn't listen when I said he's got sensitive skin witch the vet said he's not to be washed in alot of products, so to be told about dashing dogs as its been hard to find one that will understand this. But I got him home and he has scrashed his skin to bits witch is now bleeding bad an in this weather to its horrible. So my poor puppy is now in a mess as they use what ever they did. And another thing is I paid extra for the fact they said they would go that extra mile .. an then I rang Emma who owns dashing dogs and I got told she wasn't told this... how could that be as I was the one that told her. Its not something i would forget when it was his first time at a groomer. He came from a bad home to me so we could look after him my puppy must think I'm bad for letting them do this to him I will not be using them again that's a face . Animal abuse right there. If I new they was like this I wouldn't have taken my puppy but not every one gets treated bad so you don't get told until it's to late qn it's now to late as my puppy is a mess because of dashing dogs . read more

Chris, the owner is a solid down to earth guy! He has years of experience in dog grooming and truly loves and cares about dogs in general. He has a calm and easygoing demeanor and is knowledgable about what he does. While helping out a friend, i took her dog there who has a difficult temperament and chris was fantastic with him. She says this is the only place she takes him to get groomed even though she lives in wilmington. Highly recommended. read more

I walked in to Dashing Dogs on their opening morning, just to check them out. I'd been looking for a kind, sensible, calm groomer for a while- most places I see are either all business and no bedside manner, or try to upsell me on ridiculous "spa treatments" that I know my dog doesn't need. Chris and Megan were incredibly nice and sweet to my dog, and were able to groom him that same day, even though I hadn't made an appointment with them first. My dog came out fluffy and smelling great, and Chris explained everything he did to make my dog feel better during the grooming, which I really appreciated. I am so glad I found them- I finally have a groomer I'll be happy to go back to! read more

I just brought my puppy in here for the second time, and I'm thrilled. The staff is extremely friendly and returns calls for appointments promptly. Our first visit was a simple bath and trim, just to get her used to the groomers, but this second visit was a full haircut. Chris is fantastic! Our small little dog used to shake and tremble when we would approach her previous groomers. Chris amazed me how he made her calm and after many grooming appointments she is still happy to see him. Great cut and very knowledgeable and helpful about the many questions I have asked for his feedback about such as itchy ears, hair stains around the eyes etc. To top it off the studio is super clean and doesnt smell like wet dog! I am reviewing this establishment after my recent experience. Prior to this experience I would give this establishment a 5/5, but not after my recent encounter. When I picked up my dog I quickly left and placed my dog in my vehicle. I then smelled a foul odor. I looked at my dog and saw that there was feces all over her backend. Unfortunately the studio was closed right after I picked up her. I called the studio back and no one answered my phone call so I left a message. I had to go home and rewash my already blown out dog after I just paid over $65 dollars to get her groomed. The next day I received a voicemail call and was told that we could bring her back to get rewashed although I already rewashed my dog because she was covered in feces (I DID NOT have time to wait until tomorrow when she was covered in feces, which I'm still baffled at the fact that not one worker noticed that when they took her out of the cage). The next day I called back and was informed that the manager would contact me asap to rectify the matter (all I really wanted was a refund or a credit for a future visit). I received another voicemail the next day stating that they were sorry for inconvenience and explained that my dog was taken out and then stated that the dog was in the crate all day... so which one is true? I am greatly upset with this situation as it really hasn't been rectified. They stated that I could receive a 10% off my next visit, but I feel as if that is not suffice since I was greatly inconvenienced with the entire situation for about a week calling back and forth to get nothing done. Hopefully in the future they will care more about the customer experience and the well being of the animal. Looks like I will be contacting a new groomer. read more
