I'm a pals rewards member, which I highly recommend if you have a pet, so I get lots of coupons for this location. I always find everything I need here and a little extra. The parking is kinda weird because they all say 30 minutes only. How am I supposed to pick out a new sweater for my dog in just 30 minutes?! They also have adoption events which makes it really hard to not take another dog home with me. read more

So I came here looking for a particular product. I don't see it on the shelf so I over hear two employees talking about one of the girls house being painted. I stop over and ask if they have this product, one girl said yes, it's up by the register locked up. Ok, so I walk away and they continue on talking. I head up to the register, wait in line, asked the cashier if she could get me the item. She said she didn't have access she'll have to call someone up. She pages someone over the intercom and who comes over? The original girl who told me where the product was. Did she just think I was asking her for this product because I could? Seriously crappy customer service!! At least they did have what I was looking for, I had already been to two Petsmarts in the area. So all in all they might have the product you can't find in the other pet stores. Forget about anyone helping you find it. read more

Adding one more star than most reviewers. This is the closest pet store to my home and the one I frequent the most. I consistently find what I need here. Yes, it is smaller than other locations or the Petsmart down the street- however I don't find a larger store necessarily better either. I love their rewards program and have got many back for spending. They have a great treat bar at front where you bag your own which is fun. I've used the groomer here often (poodle!) and found their work to be pretty consistent for the price/ value. I had taken her to other speciality/ fancy groomers locally and had her come back with nicks and cuts! The staff I've experienced (esp grooming salon) has always been great. One thing I'd change? Add a "tip" line on grooming receipt- I typically bring cash to tip, but I'm sure the staff gets stiffed due to this oversight often. read more

We recently became frequent shoppers when we adopted our new fur baby. She is a 7 yr old English Springer Spaniel who is spoiled rotten and a lovely addition to our home. She is welcomed by 2 cats, 2 geckos, and a bearded dragon. Can you tell we love animals? We love coming here for treats for her, they have a great variety and are only $4.99/lb, i usually just grab a few and it only costs me a few dollars and she loves trying new things. They also have outfits which we get her. They also have anything you need from food, to care products, toys, and everyday care items. We love that no matter which baby we are shopping for we can find what they need including live insects and bugs for the reptiles. The staff her is very helpful and always there to answer any questions we may have. They also have a salon where they provided services for your pets. The overall look of the store is dated and crowded and could use a good spruce up and cleaning. read more

When my dog is running low on certain products, she'll ask me to come here to get them. The main product she likes, that she doesn't like anywhere else, are the Petco Joint Support III Tablets. She's tried the PetSmart brand and just does not like these. These she will gobble up like a treat. I personally notice the ingredients are purer in the Petco brand vs PetSmarts. They help her leg from limping, because of a metal plate on her knee from ACL surgery a few years ago. She says the pills make her feel like a puppy again, and I notice it too!! Since she is an old dog, with a sensitivity to grains, she prefers the Blue Wilderness Grain Free Senior food. Unfortunately, Petco doesn't carry that type (PetSmart does), but does carry the Blue Wilderness Grain Free Healthy Weight, which she will accept as an alternative. She is sensitive about her weight, so really doesn't want people to know she's trying to lose a few pounds, but since I'm here to pick up the pills, she gives in to this one. I'll also pick up some surprise treats for her. Usually they are the chicken or salmon jerky, especially if they are on sale. She is very excited when I bring those home! Petco has reward dollars you accumulate when using their super saver card thingy. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to claim them, and when I ask the cashier, they aren't much help. So every few months I get emailed that I've reached so many reward dollars, but I have no idea how to redeem them. Except this last time, they did email me some $5 off coupons because of the rewards, so I guess that's it? Not sure... Oh yeah, I have 2 cats too, from my Wife. She usually takes care of them and buys their stuff. Every so often I will buy a large bag of the Sweat Scoop cat litter, because it's too large and heavy for her, and I'm manly enough that I can carry it. read more

I love this Petco! I moved down here almost two years ago with my dog who was on Merrick dog food. I called several pet stores which all told me that they don't sell it. Petco is the only place that I know of that sells Merrick dog food around here and when I called, they assured that they had it and even listed what kinds they had. For the past two years, I have been shopping at this location for my dog's food and have had no problems. I've bought toys, collars, and even a bark collar. I had problems with the bark collars not working on my dog several times, and every single time, the associates helped me pick a new one as well as exchange or completely return my old one. The associates that work here are also very nice and knowledgeable. The guys who helped me with the bark collar were very knowledgeable about what worked and what didn't, which ones would not hurt my dog, and even treats to help calm him down - which worked wonderfully. I will always shop at this location now. read more

Nothing fabulous, but they always have my dog's food in stock, send me sporadic Petco Pals specials and keep a good selection of stuffed toys at dog level so that my golden retriever can pick out whatever she likes. The toys never last more than a couple of hours, but that's her fault, not theirs :) read more

I made an appointment to have my dog groomed today and didn't think there would be any issues because I've taken him to multiple petcos across the country to be groomed and have never had any issues. In fact the last groomer from petco recently called me and asked me to make an appointment with her because she noticed it's been a few months. Since that location is in Wintergarden and I currently live downtown Orlando I chose this location. I was asked for his rabies vaccination information (they should have already had from his recent visit). I brought his records in and showed the paperwork given after his vaccinations were administered and the groomer didn't like them. I told her she could call his vet to confirm and she rolled her eyes at me. While she was on hold she asked if I was just doing a cut and bath. I asked her to clip his nails as well and again, she rolled her eyes! While this was going on another technician came in and noticed that my dog took a nervous poop and started laughing. The groomer dealing with me looked at her and said "do you know I have ten dogs?!!" The technician shrugged and sat down behind the desk. The groomer cleaned up my dogs mess as I apologized repeatedly. She was super upset. When she tried to put the lead on my dog he cowered onto his back and cried out and growled at her. I've never seen him do this at a groomers before and I've had him over 2 years. She looked at him and said "today's just not your day" and then she chucked the lead at me and said I could go ahead and remove it. I was denied service. Of course my dog was scared of her. It obviously wasn't her day and she took it out on us and scared my dog and made me extremely uncomfortable. I will never take him or any pet to this location again. This was unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. read more

Store it self is perfectly fine my only complaint is the quality of care the beaded dragon is recieving. It's still small meaning carnivorous diet is needed for growth. Don't get me wrong. If you don't care about killing a small lizard slowly by all means keep only feeding him greens . But if you CARE about the LIVING animals your selling please take care of them properly. read more

Every time I come into this Petco I always have the best experience, however tonight Nate was exceptional. I always buy my cat food a couple weeks in advance so I never run out and have been purchasing Whole Earth Farms dry food for my rescue since I had adopted him. Shortly after Christmas he began to throw up and stopped eating all together, until I introduced strictly grain free wet food after taking him to the vet and learning he's very overweight and has a sensitive stomach. Nate helped me return an unopened bag of food in exchange for the wet food I needed with great customer service and a friendly smile. After a very long and stressful day that was exactly what I needed. Thank you Nate!!! read more

This is a wonderful pet store. They allow well-behaved animals in the store (I love anywhere my dog can go too). The store is always very clean and has hand sanitizer and poop bags located throughout the store. There is a decent selection of items. The staff is very nice and extremely knowledgeable. They have some great free seminars, like housebreaking and puppy tips. They also have great dog food experts in the store about once a week that will explain to you what to look for in a good dog food (of course they recommend their brand but the also tell you other good brands and what to specifically look for in the ingredients). I have used their grooming service too and was pleased. They handled my dog well (I arrived a little early and watched through the window) and really loved on her. Her hair cut was exactly what I asked for. The only downside was the time. I had my puppy's hair cut on a Saturday with an appointment and it took 2 hours more than what they said it would, but they did call me to let me know they were running late and called again when she was done. Overall, I really great and friendly store! read more

Walked in today (Sunday) to use the self-service dog wash. Was told, "We don't normally do that on weekends, because we get so busy using it for grooming." My fiancé and I were out and about having a relaxing day with our boy, Teddy. We had just given him a bath the night before (he's half Chinese Crested, so we bathe him relatively often to keep his skin good'n'moist) but we noticed that he was STANKY. Like, REAL stanky. Truly, the smell coming from his adorable little rear end was NOXIOUS. Upon a quick google search, we figured out that our little scraggly son needed his anal glands expressed. So we popped over to Petco Grooming to see if they could fit Ted in for a lil expressing. There we met Daisy! Not only did she have time to fit our precious little boy in with no appointment, she had time to give him the WORKS. We ended up electing to have his nails done, his ears cleaned, His teeth brushed, his glands expressed, and a nice bath to finally vanquish that terrible butt-stink once and for all. The price was extremely reasonable, and we could tell that Daisy was gonna love on our Tedster just as much as we do. He's small and has very little hair, and Daisy is so knowledgeable and efficient, so it didn't take long at ALL. He was so confident leaving that grooming sesh! No ear wax, empty butt glands, AND a new bandana! He was feeling himself (as I'm sure we all would be, in his position). We already have another appointment set up for a month from now, and I can't wait. Treat your pup to a visit to Petco grooming and Daisy. Tell 'em Teddy's anal glands sent ya. read more

The know-it-all sales clerk proceeded to talk me out of 50% of my purchases because she was a 'professional dog handler and obedience class instructor' and she insisted that I not buy a harness and extension leash for my dog because those items PROMOTE pulling. Second time I ran into the same 'helpful' sales person: First time I went here with my husband. We were getting something for our puppy (don't remember what it was) and made the mistake asking her for help. She pretty much told us right then and there that from what we asked her, she could tell that we were horrible puppy parents. Really?!?? Last night (went there to get some help with flea products since frontline wasn't entirely doing it's job) I found her and some colleagues happily chatting at the front of the store - I had already walked to the back in the hopes of finding someone back there to help me... Here I come 'disturbing' customer. Again Mrs I-love-pets-more-than-humans explained to me that I was apparently trying to kill my dog by what I'd 'done to' my dog (which was btw only what the vet told me and my dog's happy and healthy!). After I explained my situation and what I was looking for she and her colleague only went on and on over the facts I'd shared with them (and that could not be changed anyway) and continued to tell me that I was close to killing my dog. I had to actually interrupt them only to get the answer I should try flea shampoo and some other product after waiting for 72 hrs. Right - and which one?? No recommendations whatsoever from those ladies. They didn't even offer to help me find the right products. Needless to mention I left the store without buying anything. Nevertheless on other occasions I've found the staff extremely friendly and helpful - going out of their way to understand your problem/dog. Rating this place is kind of difficult - I'm seeking for the expertise of animal lovers in a pet store but I'm not fond of human haters (if one might call them this way). Our dog is a happy and healthy one and I don't like to be told otherwise by people who don't know me or my dog. read more

Crista is amazing. Our Mack is a rescue dog so he has some separation anxiety issues, Crista is so patient with him he now can sit to have his nails trimmed (he had a tech at another store cut his quick and he's afraid of them doing it again) and she can give him a bath without us there. They do a great job shampooing him and keeping his nails trimmed. read more

My husband and I have been loyal to Petsmart since we got our boxer puppy, but the customer service at this Petco has won us over.
