This place is fairly close to where we live and always have friendly people working and the store is clean and kept up. They also have a dog washing station with three "stations". So we decided to try it out. It was bath time for our two dogs. You pay up front and then go to the back of the store to get to it. It's open with a gate to keep excited dogs from getting away. They also supply shampoo and soaps. They also keep many stacks of clean towels ready for use. So, if you want to give your dog a bath, and your bathroom looks like a war zone when you're done, head over there. read more

We've been shopping at this location for several years but will likely rarely shop here in the future. The increase in bugs in the very expensive dry dog food ($65-70 bags of food!) - this is the 3rd or 4th bag that has had worms and bugs. (Our most recent bag had black bugs!) The lady at the register the last time I complained said it's from the warehouses...eh, I'm not so sure. Especially considering the other reviews complaining about bugs. Due to bugs in things like the Merrick green bones and the no-hide chips/chews that we've also experienced in the past, we have to inspect everything that's in a clear bag before we leave the store. Can't do that with a 30-40 lb bag of dog food. So many dollars wasted. It's disappointing, especially because you can see gnats/moths/flying insects at the store and obviously there are issues if other customers have experienced the same thing. It would be better if these issues were addressed because the sales and coupons can come in handy, as does the rewards program. But the rise in bugs is something I can't ignore anymore. :( (Also, not the stores fault but it's insane that the company doesn't allow coupon/discount stacking...people would buy more!) read more

We took our golden retriever, Huckleberry, to get groomed on 1/27/26. We were told he would be there for 3 hours (even over-heard the groomer on the phone about another golden retriever that there's no way that any golden retriever would take more than 3 hours). He was there for 6 hours and came home with the worst haircut he has ever had. I called after 5 hours and was told they were still not finished with him and to come get him in an hour from then. We have taken him to this store multiple times for haircuts and have been pleased for the most part. This time is beyond awful. The groomer even knew it was awful as she asked me to pay prior to getting my dog back and claimed it was because he was really excited to go home and likely wouldn't let me stop at the cashier. It is clear now that she didn't want me to refuse paying for this terrible cut. I didn't get a good look at his cut until we got home. They basically shaved his stomach and cut so close that his skin had irritation bumps. His cut is so uneven and choppy and not at all the shadow cut we asked for - it's not a cut anyone would ask for. It is so short and just awful. I have pictures but am unable to upload them to my review. Then, we get Huckleberry home, and he proceeds to drink water for what felt like 5 minutes straight. I assume he was just kept in a kennel without any water and probably super anxious. It is unfortunate but we won't be returning. The previous groomers were incredible and thus why we continued to return. We won't be back this time. read more

Coupon on product forgotten until immediately after the transaction was concluded, a $103 purchase. I waited, as another customer was being assisted, but a manager was alerted as to why I was waiting. I was told only a manager could make good on the forgotten coupon. After waiting a good while, then said manager suddenly tells me the coupon cannot be honored after the transaction has concluded, but I have experienced this kind of thing before and have had no problem at other retailers with them honoring a momentarily forgotten coupon. It keeps goodwill with the customer. I left with a feeling of bad will, not good, especially after spending so much there. Honoring the coupon would have been the right thing to do. read more

Update review: Quality of certain food items and treats have not been addressed. Bugs and larva still present to the eye! Additionally, new franchise owners are longer giving military discounts. Assistant manager I was extremely unprofessional and had to be found. Not on hand for customers. The number left to contact to someone is just the stores number and nothing is done. Just a ploy to make themselves look like they care. Unsatisfactory. read more

They have everything and the staff is helpful and nice I love the dog wash area It's very convenient and reasonably price The shower hose has a brush so you can scrub your dog while rinsing him, the blow dryer is very good and powerful it dries my dog in no time read more

Pretty solid place. Self dog wash in the back is great and affordable. The constant coupons via email or mail is always a plus. Staff super chill and thoughtful. Went to order online some wheat grass and during the cold snap a lot of the grass wasn't the greatest. Which is understandable. But they refunded the cost of the grass, still gave me two wheat grass for my senior husky and threw in can pumpkin for his upset stomach. Hence why I wanted to buy wheat grass. Also the very sweet letters they send in are amazing. read more

First time buying at this store since I found they sell really good natural food brands like Ziwi Peak and Open Farm, along with freeze-dried raw chews. Imagine my surprise and disgust when I found BUGS and LARVAE crawling around the chews as I was about to feed them to my dog! I had not noticed these at the time of purchase (bought them on a Thursday and was going to feed them next day-Friday), if I had I would've ask the associates to remove them from the sales floor since it's dangerous and so disgusting. Had to throw the whole bag away-such a waste of money and food. Worst thing is I just saw a review from 4 months ago from another person complaining about the exact same thing. First they didn't have my usual dry cat food so I bought an alternative Science Diet. On the shelf they had an entire pack of coupons for Science Diet so I took one for the food I was purchasing for my five indoor cats. At the same time I purchased 42 lbs of cat liter and two large containers of treats. I normally go to the store located on Goldenrod but since I was over on this side I gave this store a try. When I gave the cashier the coupon she said oh it's a year old. Then she called the manager because I said you have an entire packet of coupons by the food. The manager said oh not this food it has to be this one. Embarrassing as I am spending over $100 in cat supplies and people were waiting behind me. I said whatever and then realized when they rang up the alternative cat food I purchased was $10 more than the usual indoor Science Diet cat food. After paying no one asked if they could help me carry the cat supplies to the car! Well you have lost me as a valuable customer that only gets the best supplies for my cats. Peace out! This store has so many specials, sales and coupons all the time. The employees are super nice but one in particular shines so bright. Savannah has been so helpful each and every time I am shopping. She goes above and beyond to guide, educate and assist me with my dog or cat purchases. I can only lift 5 lbs but even before she was aware of my limitations she went out of her way to help me in any way possible by assisting me & making me feel comfortable with my purchases. Savannah is more than an employee, she is kind, helpful, always cheery and more than knowledgeable about the products you sell. I hope this is put in her file and she is considered for any and all promotions within this company. Stopped in to buy a bag of dogfood tonight at 7pm only to walk out and never to return. The young lady at the register was nasty, rude, and totally inappropriate. She ended up throwing my bag of food on the ground while I looked for a coupon I had on my phone, mind you we were one of only 2 groups in the entire store. When I first entered the store I asked her the age of the kittens in the cage and she sarcastically responded "how was she to know." Management needs to remove the negative and condescending employees, I had no problem taking my business two miles down the road to another pet store where I was treated respectfully. read more
