Bought 47# bag of purina pro plan dog food. Spent 93.00$. After feeding her for about a week. She became sick. Had to take her to the vet hospital on the weekend. It cost 1178.00 on tests and scans. And was diagnosed with gastritis. Stoped Dog food for three days. And she was on bland diet. Resumed food and she became sick again. So inspected her food and found bugs. WTF. Inspected bag and found Petco taped the bottom of bag. It is contaminated with larvae form that store. Complained to store in the past about the service and got no response. Worst store ever beware next time it might be your puppy

Just got groomed! So fresh and clean

At that time the assured me that they would come for the scheduled days and send me pictures or updates regarding my cats. When I left home on Friday I left out 2 bowls of water and 4 dishes of food. Every day that I was away I received pictures and/or updates about my cats via text message. When I arrived home Monday evening (July 12th), both bowls of water only had water covering the bottom and the food was only covering the bottom of ALL 4 food dishes. I have left my cats alone for 2 days in the past, with no one coming into the home to check on them, with the same set up of food and water(2 water bowls and 4 dishes of food). After 2 days of the cats being alone in the past, all of the bowls would still be about 80% full when I returned home. That was not the case when I returned after 4 days away with people supposedly caring for my pets. There is no way that they were filling their food and water daily, like I had contacted for them to do. I was very disappointed, but decided to just pay my bill and move on. I recently requested my keys back and they informed me they would be sent back via certified mail and there was a $20 charge to mail them per our contract. The same contract that stated the cats would be cared for daily. Their audacity in asking for $20 to get my keys back is what prompted me to leave this rating. I normally do not write reviews, but I wanted to warn others who care for their pets as much as I do, to BEWARE OF THIS SERVICE.

She is so patient (with humans and dogs) and has a way of explaining things that just makes sense, to both of us. We worked entirely via Zoom, but I never felt like trainings were impersonal or unproductive. She's extremely flexible and really takes the time to understand your family, your pup and your situation and implement strategies that work best for YOU! And without any guilt trips for not doing things 100% perfect or "by the book" all the time - she's totally understanding of what it means to have a dog you love and a busy human lifestyle. I feel like I learned HOW to train Rocky as much as what to train him, which has been invaluable! Now I can apply what Heather taught me and make new progress on my own. Products include foods, treats, medications, accessories, pet furniture, etc. Furthermore, PetSmart offers services such as a veterinarian, dog-training, and dog and cat grooming. For about 10 years, I have purchased products and services at this Petsmart. PetSmart sells many but not all of the name brands that my pets like, such as TidyCats, Purina, and Fancy Feast, and Temptations. Prices are average for a brick-and-mortar but higher than some online stores, but a rewards program offers some discounts. For dog training, this Petsmart offers the following group classes: puppy, beginner, intermediate, advanced, and tricks. In 2022, my English bulldog Olive completed the Beginner class, and in 2026, my French bulldog Daisy completed the same class. The trainer Sharon was absolutely excellent. She has decades of experience, and she uses positive-reinforcement techniques, which were perfect for my Olive who was shy, nervous, and physically ill and even perfect for my social and healthy Daisy. Sharon interacts very nicely with the dogs and their humans, and I consider her to be an expert in determining how to overcome obstacles in dogs' behaviors. In 2024 and 2026, I used this Petsmart's groomer for my cat Kira and dog Daisy. In 2024, I took Kira to shave off matted fur. The total price was only $15. The employee could have handled the cat a bit better (compared to my vet tech), but I felt thankful that she helped us. In 2026, I have taken Daisy here for multiple services, including shampooing, conditioning, ear cleaning, anal-gland expression, blow drying, nail trimming and grinding, teeth brushing, breath freshener, cologne, and bandana. Prices vary based on the exact service, but I usually spent $45-60 plus a tip.

It was clear there was a lack of care, experience, and professionalism. I have photographs documenting the results, and it is truly upsetting. My dog deserves better -- and so does every pet that enters your salon. PetSmart, you have lost my trust. I sincerely hope you take immediate steps to ensure this never happens to another pet or pet parent again.

If you've ever thought, 'gosh it's just so hard to please those Yelp reviewers,' I have news for…read moreyou: it's even harder to please a terrified little dog who is about to be poked and prodded and inspected from nose to tail. But Avalon Veterinary Hospital earns 5 stars not only from this seasoned Yelper, but her terrified little dog, too. Our family has used Avalon Veterinary Hospital since I was born (and before I was born, too). From our Irish Setter with kidney issues, Lady, to our accident-prone chocolate lab, Jamie, to our chubby black lab with Lupus, Piper, then my anxious, overly-excitable pitbull Lucy, to our current, terribly-cautious and anxious (but excessively lovable) pitbull Layla Grace, we have had nothing but wonderful experiences with this office. Back in the days of the old staff, Dr. Moore even sat down for an interview with 12-year-old me for my career day presentation. (It wasn't any fault of his that I lost track of The Dream and ended up in a different profession, promise.) But seriously. It's like Avalon Veterinary Hospital did a Good Deed several lives ago and managed to snag the Most Empathic Humans On Earth as their staff. Everyone is so kind. I have brought every type of dog personality imaginable through those doors at one point or another and they have found a way to care for my pooch with loving kindness, respect, and patience. They listen and offer advice when I call an hour before closing panicked that my dog got into some cherries in the backyard. They don't mind that Layla Grace gets so excited to see them that she piddles in the waiting room. They ALSO don't mind that she's terrified of their floors and they have to carry her back for her toe trim. They send me reminders when she is due for shots. The day after a sick visit (or a panicked backyard fruit call), they call to check on her and see how she is feeling. They keep digital records of all of her shots and treatments so we have an easy way to pull the information for kennel stays or vacation trips. They even let me know when the flea and tick and heartworm medicine that Layla uses is on sale so I can stock up! Layla generally sees Dr. Vought when she goes in for her big checkups (she sees the techs monthly for toe trim and bum squeeze). Dr. Vought literally sits on the floor with Layla Grace, lets her crawl into her lap, and spends time patting and reassuring her before she even begins the exam. Layla loves everyone, but she LOVES Dr. Vought. And now, for the hard part. We lost our Lucy in the summer of 2016. It was very unexpected and happened very quickly. We brought her to Dr. Vought and Jen the vet tech. And those two were.... basically our first line of grief counselors. They made us feel safe, they made Lucy feel safe, and they let us spend as much time as we needed with her to say goodbye. They were so professional and yet warm, I knew everything that was going on, and felt safe and at peace that we said goodbye to our little girl in the best way we could. When we picked up Lucy's ashes, we found that they had made a mold of her pawprint for us to keep as well. We received a card in the mail that was signed by all of the staff, with heartfelt condolences and notes about how much they loved seeing our Lucy when she came in for visits. Jen also helped us find a grief counseling group in the area where we were able to meet with other grieving pet owners and start to pick up the pieces and move forward. I'm tearing up writing this and remembering all of this, but I think it's important to discuss. We are the caretakers of our little furry ones, and it's important to have a vet's office that you trust not only for the exciting, happy New Puppy visit, but also for the final visit when you have to say goodbye to your companion. Avalon Veterinary Hospital supports you through it all. They are there for your pup every stage of their life, and there for you, Dog Mom or Dad, through all of it as well. I'm so happy our Layla Grace has them caring for her and keeping her in tip-top, tiny-terrified-pitbull shape. We will keep coming here forever, even if they start charging me extra for all the excited-piddle cleanup.

The quality of the appointment really depends on who's on staff that day--some visits go smoothly, others not so much. Our Shih Tzu generally does well, likely because of her small size, but our Great Dane hasn't always had the best experiences. It sometimes feels like larger dogs aren't as well-received, which is disappointing. One of the biggest challenges is the frequent staff turnover--it feels like a revolving door, and that inconsistency can affect the care. It's also often difficult to get in touch with someone directly, which can be frustrating when trying to schedule or follow up. That said, I'm glad they've recently added more veterinarians, which seems to have improved appointment availability. The pet care payment plan is pricey, but it does cover the essential vaccinations. Just be cautious--add-ons can stack up quickly if you're not paying close attention.

I…read morehave been using this facility since 05/2010 and didn't have issues until the last few years with my third dog. A couple of years ago, I had an incident where they were putting my dog under with anesthesia and something happened that he had a severely bad accident. The vet Tech Emily luckily caught the reaction and was able to get the vet to reverse the anesthesia and saved my dog's life. As a result of this my dog all of a sudden had a slight heart murmur and cannot be put under anesthesia again as it will more than likely kill him. Today, I took him in for a checkup and had a few concerns that I wanted the vet to check out on him. After several hours of him being there, in received a call from a Tech or the Receiponist with an update on my dog. I was told that there was an issue eitb his blood work where I could or couldn't get an expensive ultrasound for the possibility of a few different health issues and more importantly thar I could have one of my concerns addressed and have the fatty cyst removed when they put him under anesthesia to have his teeth cleaned. Apparently No one including the vet fully looked at his chart or read up on his history before they checked him out and called me. After they almost lost him once to a reaction to anesthesia why would you call the pet's owner and even been so out of touch to even suggest that you put someone's pet through a procedure that can kill them. I was very upset and just went to pick up my dog. I received a call from.Vickie the office manager while on my way there. When I expressed my upset I was given the explanation that the person who called me was new and mixed up pets and confused what she was to tell me. That only made the matter worse because I went put of my way when I dropped my dog off to point out that he was not getting a teeth cleaning and his issues with anesthesia. I told Vickie that I have lost all confidence and trust in their clinic and will just pick up my dog and that I did not trust anyone there to treat him NY longer. When I picked up my dog, I asked what i owed from the visit and the girl could not figure it out. I asked Vickie to ring me up and I was asking what I owed and we had a not so nice conversation when she started telling me about an ear infection then she got nastier with me and accused me of not willing to ket them make it right and refusing to listen to them or wanting to treat my dog. I will be contacting corporate and taking my dog to a different vet entirely. This Banfield no longer cares about pets or their customers. They are overbooked, try and upsale expensive testing that may or may not be needed and have. Huge turnover rate where you rarely seen the same vet and techs that actually know your pet.

You've all heard of helicopter parenting, yeah? It's a mess and screwing up today's children, but I'm totally guilty of helicopter doggie parenting. All of which is to say that I'm not going to drop Gus off at some random place while I go to work. Step 1 (which I think the other reviewer skipped/missed): call them and make an appointment. Taking a strange dog into a place full of dogs is a little dicey. Typically, new dogs are brought over on Saturday (when there are no other dogs around) so Barbara can get a sense of its temperament. Barbara is great with dogs and has a ton of experience, but I totally had the, "well, if my kid isn't good enough for them, screw them!" thoughts running through my head. Obviously, Barbara instantly saw the inherent awesomeness of Gus. Step 2: learn to let go. I don't have kids, but I imagine this is pretty much the same as dropping them off at daycare. The first few times, they scream and cry when you leave and you're left feeling like a terrible person for the rest of the day. Then one day, magically, they're excited to go to daycare (or Bow WoW) and they don't even look back while they're led away to the playroom. It's a bittersweet moment, but one can't help but feel a little proud. See what I mean about the anthropomorphizing thing? Bow Wow separates the dogs by size and organizes the day into blocks of play, rest, and exercise so the dogs don't get overstimulated, which can cause stress. The staff is excellent about communicating with owners about even minor changes in your dog's behavior and simply giving you updates about how your dog's socialization and adjustment. I think I spent the first 2-3 weeks asking, "Is he playing? Is he making friends?" on a daily basis. The entire staff was very good about humoring me. Gus loves it there (his radar triggers around 21st street and he starts to flip out in the car) and I feel safe about leaving him there. And honestly, when it comes to a doggie day care, that's all that matters.
