Grooming is open!!!!!! So happy that I was able to get my essential service done for my dog she needed a haircut desperately and a bathe. I was extremely appreciative of all the safety protocols they have in place for covid and felt 100% safe. I loved how they only let one guest in at a time for grooming for social distancing and used their own lead for my dog that was washed per dog!! Will come back!! read more

I go here all the time so expect more. I've never purchased an animal from this establishment and was very disappointed with the process once I did. I was interested in a few different types of fish but all of my options I was wanting were immediately shut down. It was basically forced down my throat to get colorful guppies when I was wanting natural looking fish. I was shown a different price than I was charged. Not only that, when I was asked which fish I wanted, I corrected her three separate times and still gave me the wrong ones. I ended up paying $12 for THREE GUPPIES THAT I DID NOT WANT. So my wife purchased a gift card for me at this location for christmas. The day after christmas we went to the store to use it. At the register i swipe the literally just opened gift card. It gets declined. After over a half hour of the cashiers trying to figure it out(yes we even had the original receipt for the gift card.) They call the manager. The manager tries a few things, and finally tells us we are gonna have to call the main customer line. The employees were wonderful and tried the best but couldnt fix the issue. So today i called the number. After being on hold for too long, i talked to a "van" who proceeded to falsely disconnect me 3 separate times....told me it was the stores problem that he and his "team" couldnt fix the issue, and then had the gall to say my problem was not worth the time or effort to fix. He then pulled the "fake disconnect" again. Needless to say im fuming. A customers problem is not worth corporates time or effort? read more

Usually I'm not a big fan of Petco's. They haven't had the best prices and the animals they have there aren't always in the best (or even good) condition. This one, however, was a nice break from from what I was used to. Found some really good deals on my cat's food, the animals on display looked healthy and the staff was helpful and friendly. read more

A smelly, dirty place. They clean dogs urine with water and brown paper towels. My dog urinated several times because of the smells in this place so they diagnosed my dog had a urinary track infection. Unbelievable. I had to pick up her up because of this. They don't even use disinfectant after an dog or cat urinates. I can't imagine how dirty their back door kennels must be. Don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

First and foremost if you or even your pet is black....do not go here! If you take your pet beware, crickets are everywhere! Discrimination was shown as soon as I walked in by the manager as he walked right by me and did not greet or welcome me in the store prior to dropping my pet off to the grooming service. (I even had to ask does he work here?) When dropping off, their was a discrepancy with the paperwork needed which could have been handled within 10 minutes. Instead, the grooming personnel and manager informed me that another appointment must be made. Also they told me that my pet was to "matted"to groom without even taking a look at him. They pretty much did everything in their power to not accept my business. I've spent hundred of dollars here and I am very disappointed on how they handled the situation. Point/rewards system sucks, customer service is horrible at this location, and I will not be returning. read more

I really enjoy shopping here, and the staff has always been pretty friendly. However, it seems they severely understaff their grooming department. I have taken my dog there about 2-3 times for grooming, and every time it seems there's only 1 person working. Even when I have an appointment, it seems I always have to wait 10-15 minutes for someone to arrive to the salon. I tried calling to make an appointment twice in the course of a week, and was on hold for 6 minutes waiting for someone in the grooming department to pick up. Eventually I just gave up- took my dog to PetSmart with no appointment and was in and out in 10 minutes. When it comes to shopping, I will continue being a Petco customer. But I will no longer be bringing my dog for any grooming services at this facility. read more

I was very pleased with the professional grooming job that was done for my Shih-Tzu/Yorkie mix, Smokey. I have been trying every place until I found this one. After one visit, I already knew my groomers' names (that is not like me, but they were so personable) & my husband & I were very happy with Smokey's hair cut. Groomers were so warm & they made me feel like I was at a first class grooming salon. My vet said," Someone did a really good job grooming his ears." I was very happy. Very respectful staff. Excellent phone etiquette. Price was also reasonable. I drive from Deltona to Sanford because I know we are satisfied every time. read more

I have been going to this salon for a couple of years. They seem to do an overall good job, depending on which groomer you get. Holidays are extremly diffecult to get an appointment, but most days they are available. My only concern is the amount of time it takes to get my 15 lb Malteese groomed . Sometimes it can take up to 4 hours or more . Why? What dogs are they working in? Time is especially long, in and out of the cage. I just cannot believe, it takes that many hours to groom a small dog. read more

It was the first time I walked into a petco today and won't be the last ! Although not a lot of animals to look at they do have a very friendly and helpful staff. Surprisingly ended up getting a free hamster with its own little cage which was pretty cool! read more

This Petco is a frequent stop for my wife and me. As we own 3 dogs, two aquariums, a terrarium with 2 fire bellied toads, and we also feed a stray cat that lives under our porch, we are always here to stock up on something. The employees here are very friendly and personable, and several were quick to recognize us by name after we began to frequent this location. They have a nice variety of aquatic life, plus small companion animals, and also reptiles and such. I've noticed that some locations don't carry very many animals anymore, but not a problem here. The associates are very knowledgeable and helpful, and one day when I used my wheelchair instead of my prosthetic, even offered to accompany me around the store to assist with anything I might need. Also, cat and kitten adoptions on Saturdays! I highly recommend this location, and will definitely be coming here for many years to come, even if a new store opens closer to my house. read more

I visited this Petco yesterday to purchase a dog collar that I saw online. Their website said this location had it in stock. From the moment I walked in, I had to fight to make my own sale. I had the misfortune of dealing with Robin who was quite frankly lazy and disinterested in helping me. I got the standard "we don't have it" and when I pressed further I got "I asked my inventory manager who says we don't have it" (later to find out this was a lie) and "I don't care what it says online, I'm telling you it's not in my store". I gave up on Robin and found Rebecca who was willing to look in the back for me but had to fight with Robin to be able to go back and look. Robin didn't want to watch the register and she took the opportunity to get in another comment "there's noting but boxes back there, it's a miscount, we don't have it". In the meantime, the dog food vendor who doesn't actually work for Petco was helping me look for the display where he had seen the collar I was looking for. After about 2 minutes in the back Rebecca came out with 2 of the collars I was looking for. I bought one and thanked Rebecca profusely for basically doing her job but I was so put off by Robin that I won't go back. This is why stores are closing. This is why people prefer online shopping. It was like pulling teeth for this store to take my money. read more

I've taken my dog to this Petco more than once for a bath and I always leave happy and pleased. However, today I have to say I am completely disappointed in Petco grooming. I called and scheduled an appointment for 3:30pm. I brought my dog on time to her appointment. While waiting to drop her off, I hear one girl tell the girl who will be bathing my dog that they cleared out the kennel for her. So I drop my dog off to a less familiar place and the first thing you do is put her in a kennel? Not happy, but I understand my dog may have to wait a little bit. 6pm rolls around, and I'm wondering where my dog is. I call to make sure they're not closing. They proceed to tell me she will be done at 8pm and the groomer had just started on my dog. My dog stayed in a crate for 2 and a half hours before they began on her. Why did I make an appointment!?!? I was told they were "backed up" because it's Petco policy to stop what they're doing if someone comes in to have their dog's nails trimmed. So my dog gets to wait 2 and a half hours in a kennel, while people come and go as they please with no appointment to get their nails cut? So in total I am waiting 4 and a half hours to pick up my dog from the groomer. What a waste of $57. All she is getting is a bath and a paw trim. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of service my dog has received at this Petco today. One time is enough for me to stop being a loyal customer. My dog is my family, and I expect her to be treated better. If there are that many people needing their dogs nails cut, hire someone else to do it so this situation doesn't happen! read more
