When we got them back they went from completely untrained to trained in every way! Door manners, in the car, on the leash, and other basic commands, you name it! They were crazy about food and now they will sit in front of food and wait to eat it when they are told. It's amazing! We then brought them back for a tune up when our son was born. It was awesome knowing they were with people who knew them and loved them. Our dog Charlie ran and jumped in the lake immediately! Happy as can be. A huge shoutout to Derrick! When our son was born 4 weeks early he went out of his way to pick our dogs up when we were stuck at the hospital. He truly loves the dogs and cares about the families. You can tell this is his passion and it shows through his work! Lastly, Anthony has been fantastic to work with throughout too! Due to him and Derrick we will continue bringing our dogs back here when we need boarding knowing they are in the BEST hands. I can't even express how glad I am that we found Dawn! Her training style and personality fit perfectly with ours. Dawn has a special gift and connection with dogs, our Bentley (8 month old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) absolutely loved her. Everything about her training made sense, from start to finish, as she explained (and re-explained, if necessary). She bonded with our Bentley, he came to respect what she was teaching and he was willing to please and obey when she was with him. Dawn gave us homework each week, with handouts as reminders, and did a recap at the beginning of the following week. After training hours, she even sent us a video of her demonstrating the process with her own dog once when we couldn't quite get a certain technique. We didn't always do our homework 100%, but Dawn was able to move forward and teach Bentley the next lessons. We have a lot to learn still and it is a daily learning process for both dog and owner, but are thrilled that we met Dawn. I am very sorry to say that her way was not the best way for my dog and none of my dogs issues were solved or even came close by the time the class was done. I noticed that none of the dogs in our class were any better. Most didn't even show up to graduation. Since her classes - i have learned so much by watching Cesar Millan videos and applying those techniques to my dogs issues. The results have been amazing. My dog is not one to learn from the nice approach (which is Meg's method). My dog needed the pack leader approach - I am now the pack leader. I just wish i would have read the Cesar books and watched videos before i spent the money on these classes .

But when I got my dog back, he was extremely timid coming if the room until I called his name and he realized it was me. When he came running to me, I immediately noticed he was limping from his front right shoulder. I at first thought it wasn't anything, but the following day he continued to limp whether he was walking or running. I called back the facility immediately and asked if something had happened, or if they noticed anything and they said nothing happened. But they said my dog mentioned my dog would block the door when they would try and open it. They stated nothing happened but if that was the case he would not be limping. It just did not make sense they mentioned the door and my dog blocking it so now it seems like they shoved the door open or hit my dog with the door when they opened it. Now I have to take my dog to the vet to be seen and there has been no resolution or real explanation what happened to my dog.

Fabian at the Dog Wizard was able to turn everything around for us thankfully. We boarded Bear at the facility in US 64 and Fabian worked with him daily. What he graduated from the program he was sitting and lying down in his place every time we asked. Before training he refused to go on walks because of his intense fear. Now, we take him on walks around the neighborhood every day. Not only was Fabian effective but he has repeatedly offered to meet up with us to work with Bear for no extra charge. Every two weeks we also can attend alumni classes on a Saturday at local parks which helps Bear keep up his training. I can't say enough about how great of a job Fabian did. He saved Bear's life.
