I took my 6 month old (hyper!) Cavapoo Nova to a chain groomer for the first time because I really had to fit in a trim before he got neutered and everywhere else in town was booked for weeks. I was nervous but overall I would say Ashley and Petco exceeded my initial expectations. I could tell she had a genuine love for dogs when I left him which eased some of my worries. At the end of the day I was happier about the fact that my dog was treated with love than the actual cut. Usually he gets a teddy bear cut but this time I only mentioned keeping it longer and making his face round. In retrospect I should have been more specific and shown a photo. It turned out shorter than I'm used to and a bit uneven. Ashley said he was a major wiggle worm and wanted to play which I'm sure made it very difficult. She was nice about his puppy behavior though and remained positive and upbeat throughout our conversations at pickup and drop off. She seemed to really enjoy my dog despite his antics which made a huge difference. read more

Walked in to see how my doodle was doing for her first grooming appointment, the female technician had my dog's beard in her hand while shaking the dogs head while yelling at the dog to "stop". I then automatically yelled Stop, the manager removed my dog immediately, and brought her to me. I will never return, this behavior was unacceptable in plain sight (glass walls) I can only imagine how she was treated in the back. read more

Groomers injure your dogs, stress them out so they vomit, and then refuse to groom them. Cutting up my Petco credit card now and getting everything my pets need from somewhere else. read more

Super organized store and a very friendly and patient staff. My go to place to bring my foster dogs to expose them to more people.

i drove all the way to the store to buy my son a pet fish, online they are supposed to close at 9pm, which is different than the posted hours at the store 8pm. none of the employees would sell my 10 year old son a fish because they were going to be closing in 15 minutes. terrible customer service experience. read more

I wish i could put 0 stars. I brought my mini Dachshund here to be groomed at 10am this morning and when i picked her up at 1 she was traumatized. first of all, she was there for 3 hours and they couldn't even trim up her paw pads. I genuinely have no idea what they even did because she looks exactly the same as she did before she went (other than her nails). second of all, she has been extremely lethargic and i have never seen her act like this. she has been to the vet many times and she is always extremely good with that kind of thing. she has never looked so sick in her life and has been pooping mucus for the last 2 hours. i have no idea what they did to my dog but she isnt okay and now i have to pay for a vet visit to fix whatever these people did. not only did i spend $76 +$10 tip (for literally nothing) but now i have to pay for a whole vet visit. When i called, the only person who answered was a gentleman from sales. He was extremely nice and understanding of the situation however the only thing he could do is take my name and number. i can't even get in touch with the groomers who did this because they are too busy hurting other animals to answer the phone. i want my money back. this place is dangerous, do not take your animals here. read more

They are so good with our bully. Every time I go in, all the staff is so friendly and kind. Cashiers to grooming, people smile and give me deals/coupons that I did not know was advertised or aware of. How nice?! Danielle with grooming is amazing! No idea what she does, but it's near magic. Our wrinkly, stinky boy smells like heaven when he leaves. The only complaint I have is that too often it's very hard to get someone to answer the phone- I usually have to call a few times to get an answer or to schedule an appointment. Good thing Danielle is awesome, and she's well worth the wait. The staff give my boy treats and make a big deal over him- I'm delighted that he gets to be a loved little star. read more

Wow, I am amazed by the service I received today at this location. Went in to weigh my dog Theo and 2 of the members of the staff gave him treats and were so playful with him and the manager was amazing beyond words. Told me all about their deals, played with Theo, talked to me all about him and ended up giving me a discount at the end on theo's treats. I'm so thankful for the service I received and I will definitely be returning very soon. read more

Friendly service, accurate pricing in the vaccination wellness center, and kind staff who put up with my grumpy Amstaff! No insane vet office visit fees and were out in less than 15 minutes. Thank you all for your services, we will be back. read more

I've NEVER had any bad experiences here, I've been coming since they first opened this location and I do have to say that customer service has greatly improved but it's always been good. The grooming crew is very cordial and good with my pup (my pup is not soo good when it comes to his front paws, but they know how to deal with him in a good way). I've never had to wait in line for more than five minutes and the store is kept clean and organized. read more

Always short staffed! Quincy the manager is rude. Staff seem annoyed because the manager won't hire more employee. Ridiculous. I was told to come in and bring my dog for a grooming but once I got there, no one was there in the grooming department. I checked the phone number and it was correct. Obviously someone was lying. read more

Brought our dog Gracie in to have her groomed. She is a Golden (northern type) with a lot of fur. They gave her a bath, great cut, (not a shave, like other pet shops!) so she still looks like a Golden, not a Lab, removed the excess undercoat for the summer, cleaned her teeth, dremeled her nails, the whole bit. We asked not to have her ears cleaned as she has a new med for ear infections in for a two week stint, and they followed our direction. Rachael did a great job (and dear hubby forgot to tip her, so we'll swing back by this week to do that). Cost was less than the other pet shop place and more accommodating than the private pet shops on site groomer...and they did a better job than all of them. Would definitely recommend for big fur babies. read more

Let me first state, I'm not in any way related or friends with any employee but I got genuine care of my situation with petco groomer Danielle. She related to me and my circumstances and was so kind to my dog who was in distress over a recent move,and seperation from family and his big backyard at my former home. She was very awesome, kind and considerate of my dog and I was short on funds so I owe her a generous tip soon. I appreciate all she did to calm me and my dog. My dog smell like heaven. I reccomend Danielle if you care as much of ypur dog as,I do. He's all I have left in my life and she cared of that. read more

The store decided to open late on Saturday morning, leaving me waiting outside for a good 20 minutes with me dog who had a grooming appointment. The young guy who eventually unlocked the door after other customers began knocking on the window was quite inconvenienced by us being there. I then went straight to the counter where I was going to drop off my dog to get groomed where I once again waited some more. There were 2 vet tech standing at a stand about 5 feet away so I finally turned to them and asked them if they worked there....they said yes and left it at that. I then said that I was waiting outside for a while and now I am still waiting inside to get service, where the guy just said "sorry for your inconvenience". At that point the young guy who unlocked the door came walking by with a horrible attitude and said "I"m going to get her for you okay". At that point I was done, my time was wasted, I was disrespected as a customer and there was no way in hell I was going to leave my dog there and trust these people. Very unfortunate staff and you should be ashamed. read more

my second time coming to this store to have my dog groomed, first time was great, this time when I got home with my dog her nails looked like someone had just grabbed them and broke them like you would a tree branch nit to mention she was still wet when she was picked up 30 minutes after we were called to pick her up. will not be using this store again. read more
