When I politely repeated that he was a mini because I wasn't sure he had heard me, his response came across as sarcastic and dismissive. He stated that $130 was the starting price for any poodle mix unless it was a different dog, which was confusing given that I had already told him multiple times that my dog is a Goldendoodle. What bothered me most was the customer service. The conversation felt rude and unprofessional from the start. After I simply said "okay," he immediately hung up without asking if I still wanted to schedule an appointment, even though that was the reason for my call. Based on that interaction alone, I would not feel comfortable bringing my dog here. If someone is dismissive and disrespectful to potential customers, it naturally raises concerns about the level of care and professionalism they provide. First impressions matter, and unfortunately this experience left me looking elsewhere for grooming services.

Today I called at 9:20 to let them know I was on the way. I was told they don't take drop offs after 9am . I proceed there and the sign at the counter states drop off is from 7:30-9:30. The owner said the sign is a mistake and they refused to groom. Pretty upset at the lack of customer service, being lied to and honestly it wasn't that impressive anyway. Thank you, Next. I haven't had a dog for many years but had been considering adopting for about the last year. I checked their website for specific type - due to allergies I was looking for a more "hypoallergenic" dog. I found one, sent a request for information on a Saturday evening around 7pm and immediately was responded to by Erika. I came to see my new doggo the next day (Sunday) and was greeted by Mara outside, who I ended up hugging because she was so lovely. I was helped by Spencer who allowed me some time with the pup, and then allowed some one-one-one time by Cara. I decided to come back the next day to make a decision which was great - they had given the doggo a bath and spayed her. I was provided with medicine, a collar, leash, paperwork, and about a week worth of dog food. The cost for all of this was $30. I named my new pup Blanche and could not be happier. I believe every review should have some balance, so here are small negatives. Someone said the Blanche had been spayed, which she hadn't been, so I had to prep to take care of her which I wasn't prepared for. She was listed as a labradoodle, which she is clearly not (that wasn't important for me, but it might be for others). Lastly, the staff was understandably stressed the weekend I came in. There was an unusual influx of dogs and a lot of drama regarding this. I witnessed a few people being snarky with the staff, and they didn't seem overly friendly at first. As soon as they knew I wasn't there to yell at them, they were all very sweet. I think this reflects on the consumer rather than the staff though - please be kind to these folks! They deal with a ton of crud and they are only looking at spreading love around, in the form of our furry friends.

I was told by reception they would pass info on to Dr. Todd, but told me it is probably a side effect of getting the Bordatella shot. Fast forward a few more days and it's getting worse. So I called again. First person who took the message said she had Tracheobronchitis (now I know what that is as I worked 4 years for a vet when I lived in Chicago) - aka Kennel Cough. Doc didn't call back so I called again - second girl I spoke to said I'd have to wait until end of day because doctor schedule was full. I just hung up - doctor called back and said it was a 'flu that was going around' - why lie? It cost me $90 for the meds. When I went to get the meds the girl told me that the 'kennel cough' would start being relieved within a couple days of starting meds. So that evening - the second dog started with the coughing and spitting up - had to pay another $90 for meds for her kennel cough. Here in lies the problem - both dogs are 4 years old - and have been boarded at other places many times. NEVER had kennel cough - or whatever NFAH wants to call it - but if you're going there prepare yourself for this. It's highly contagious and if they were to properly sterilize exam rooms, properly verify animal vaccines before boarding and properly sterilize kennels it could reduce incidents. My dogs have not been in or near any other animals since January. This was a direct cause of taking them to NFAH. I trusted them. Paid over $250 for shots, then another $180 for meds to get rid of the kennel cough they contracted at NFAH. Shame shame.
