I was in town for business 800 miles from home and had a check engine light and tons of errors popup on my brand new 2025 Tundra. I had my truck towed to them on a Tuesday evening and had to leave on Friday morning. I was not sure they would be able to get me taken care of in time. They got my truck in first thing Wednesday morning and called me to update me on the situation later that day. Luckily there was nothing wrong with the truck, just some random ECU error code and freak out. I was very pleased with their level of communication, their attention to detail and being thorough with trying to check everything that might have been an issue. I purchased a certified used 2020 Hyundai Elantra from Peter Boulware Toyota, and my experience has been extremely concerning. Shortly after purchasing the car, I took it in for a tire rotation and found out the rear tires were severely low. That created a serious safety risk, especially in wet conditions. The dealership eventually reimbursed me for replacing the tires, but this should have been caught before the car was ever sold as certified. Not even two months later, my rear brake pads/rotors had to be replaced. Then, during a routine recall inspection at Hyundai, I was sent video evidence showing the cabin air filter in terrible condition. It was black, full of debris and leaves, and showed evidence of rodent damage. Based on the condition of the filter, it did not appear to have been properly replaced or inspected before the car was sold. I had been feeling sick and nauseous while driving, and later realized I may have been breathing contaminated air without knowing it. Cleaning and addressing that issue cost me around $400. The car also developed a serious overheating issue and began cutting off while I was driving. Hyundai/GEICO documentation showed major undercarriage and cooling-system related repairs, including radiator support, radiator assembly, hoses, coolant, condenser, and A/C service. The estimate was over $4,000 and also noted prior scraping damage. I did not have a collision. This car was sold to me like that. On top of that, Ben Wells repeatedly tried to claim my car was sold "as-is," even though I provided proof that it was a Boulware Certified vehicle. He also agreed to send documentation proving the cabin air filter had been replaced, but never sent it. This has been one issue after another: unsafe tires, brake/rotor repairs, contaminated cabin air, and serious mechanical/undercarriage problems. A certified used vehicle should not be sold like this, and customers should not have to fight just to get honesty and documentation. I am requesting reimbursement for my documented repair, cleaning, diagnostic, and deductible costs. Based on my experience, I would not recommend buying a certified used vehicle here without getting an independent inspection first. read more

I am extremely disappointed with the pricing practices at Peter Boulware Toyota. Just a couple of days ago, I called to get a quote for a repair and was given one price. Based on that quote, I decided to bring my car to the dealership instead of another repair shop where I had also received an estimate. I was shocked to learn that the new quote given today was nearly three times higher than the price I had been given just two days earlier. When I questioned the discrepancy, I was told that the employee who provided the original quote had made a "human error" by not reading the entire service page. The problem is that I specifically told the representative when I called that I was comparing prices before deciding where to have my car serviced. It is difficult not to feel misled when the price changes so dramatically after I've already committed my time and brought my vehicle in. On Monday, May 25, I was having my 2012 Camry serviced and started talking with Roy Bragg, who wanted me to trade in my car. He proceeded to do the aggressive sales pitch with me, giving me every argument he could think of to persuade me to buy a car right then and there. I told him "no, I'm not buying today " and he kept it up. He did suggest driving a used '26 Camry and never shut up while we were in the car. Nice car, not interested. My continuing, non-changing response was no, not buying today. Just out of curiosity, with no intention of making a commitment, I allowed Bragg to pull my credit information. Pretty good, actually. Sales proposal was disappointing. He just kept up with the aggressive chatter. By the time 5:00 rolled around I wasn't talking to him anymore and went to the service advisor (Moises) to check out. Bragg showed up with another sales person, I think named James, and pushed Moises to one side. Bragg and James proceeded to loom over me, speaking loudly, mansplaining to me about why I should buy a car THAT DAY! James was belligerent--they both were. Their whole attitude was sexist and condescending and overly aggressive. At first this was amusing, then annoying, now I am angry. This encounter was offensive and not what I would expect from this dealership. I have bought and paid for 5 Toyotas since 1977. I know how to buy a car. I know how to brush off a sales pitch if I'm not interested. I have never been subjected to such an ugly sales pitch. I realize that car sales can be a difficult task, but this was out of line. THIS WOULD NEVER HAVE HAPPENED IF I WAS A MAN. I have e-mailed the general sales manager about this encounter and forwarded the e-mail to Peter Boulware. No response. When I am ready to buy a new car, and I want it to be a Toyota, I will consider other dealerships. There are at least eight Toyota stores within a 150-mile drive of Tallahassee. I hope in the meantime the dealership could provide some sensitivity training to the sales people. read more

I spent over 4 hours at this dealership with my two children a few weeks ago, and the process was exhausting and misleading. When the paperwork was first presented to me for the car I was interested in, the salesman told me that certain extras were included with the car, but when I looked at the paperwork, they were listed as optional add-ons. The car I was interested in was priced at $23,444, yet they wanted me walking out paying between $30,000 and $34,000 once all the fees and extras were added. The first time I received the paperwork before meeting with the financial person, I pointed out the optional add-ons -- they took them off, bringing the price closer to $30,000. But when I got to the very last piece of paperwork I needed to sign, the total jumped back up to $34,000, which felt deceptive. They also used a pressure tactic on a different car, claiming someone else was coming to see it at 6 p.m., but the dealership actually closes at 6(on Saturdays) meaning this was false. On top of that, they ran my credit through multiple lenders without showing the actual rates or comparing loan options side by side, which felt shady and non-transparent. The last time I bought a car from a dealer they showed me what my rates would be at each bank. Overall, the combination of wasted time, misleading tactics, and lack of honesty left me feeling unvalued as a customer. When I got home and researched this location, I realized I made the best move walking out. After seeing that many others have had similar experiences here, it confirmed this wasn't an isolated incident. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME -- TOYOTA CUSTOMERS BEWARE I am appalled at the unprofessional and dismissive service I recently received at this Toyota dealership. My Toyota vehicle--purchased brand new in 2021 from Thomasville Toyota and always serviced there--had a dead battery under warranty. After being jump-started by roadside assistance on Friday, I was told by the mechanic that the battery had completely failed and needed to be replaced. I went to the dealership on Monday at 5:25 PM, well before closing, expecting a simple warranty battery replacement--a process that takes 10-15 minutes. I was immediately told by a service employee that they "weren't taking any more vehicles" because the mechanics leave at 6:00. Really? I reminded him this was a warranty battery swap. Still, he insisted on asking the manager, who then flatly refused to help and told me to come back the next day. So I returned on Tuesday, August 12 at 11:30 AM, expecting this to be resolved. Instead, I was again told they wouldn't service my vehicle--this time by a different employee. I explained the situation, including the fact that driving around with a dead battery was putting strain on my alternator and starter, and would soon result in even more costly damage. I was STILL refused. Let me repeat that: A Toyota dealership **refused to service a Toyota vehicle with a dead, under-warranty Toyota battery--**two days in a row, with no clear explanation. What's worse? Not one person--not the manager, not either employee--offered any reasonable justification. Just repeated brush-offs and a complete lack of care or accountability. Contrast this with Thomasville Toyota, where I've always been treated with professionalism, respect, and prompt service. The difference is night and day. I feel compelled to write this review to protect younger people who are buying their first car, or people inexperienced with sales and predatory salesmen. Let me get what you NEED to know out-of-the-way first: salesman don't care what you can afford in the long-term they only care about what you can afford in the short term, what you can give them immediately, because that affects their bottom line and their commissions. please look at yourself in the mirror and repeat your budget to yourself over and over so you are confident when you walk into this place because if they sense any hesitation or if they think they can squeeze more money out of you, they absolutely will because they do it every day all day. they will make it seem like you can afford a car that's way out of your budget because they're doing you "favors" or "helping you out". you can't afford it, they're just doing anything they can to hook you up with a financer that preys on people like you. they'll say things like "I NEED you to do this" or "if you buy this car you HAVE to finance with us" when in reality, you don't HAVE to do anything they say, you can tell them no all day, this is your budget, this is who you are financing with etc etc and they will still sell you a car because in the end, that's all that matters. Let me start with the Pros of this place in particular. 1. They are aggressive with their LISTED pricing and are pretty competitive with other dealers in the area. Except with the hidden fees like the glorified rain-x coat that cost hundreds of dollars. the Armor-all coat that cost hundreds of dollars. The unnecessary garbage they put on your car and charge you $1000 for. They're called "Boulware Benefits", just another ridiculous scam that makes their reasonably priced listings automatically not worth it if you're buying used. 2. They have the resources to make better deals. and for complete transparency I did buy a Corolla, but as with most car lots its never that easy... Because I was able to buy new they were able to be more flexible since they have more wiggle room with new vehicles, but the compromise we came to was they just drove the price of the vehicle down enough that they can add their "benefits" and still hit my budget, I have to guess that just means that the benefits must just go right in their pocket, thats why they tell you they're "mandatory" give me a break. I don't even need to list the cons if you're reading this review anyways, this place has the usual predatory sales tactics, pushy salesman, and was almost a complete waste of time but that's pretty much expected from car lots just be wary when doing this don't put yourself in debt because some pushy salesman is trying to make money off of you. read more

However, recently I had an issue that my insurance had stated Toyota should be responsible for correcting. Toyota refused stating insurance was responsible to pay. Alan has been great in being available and answering questions. But when I asked to speak to management to ask questions about possible options of payment plan or discounted costs, Ben refused to talk to me and Vaughn never called me back. When management refuses to even speak to one of their most loyal customers, it shows that they really do not care about their customers. Insurance assisted in paying a partial amount. However, PB Toyota refused to cover any of it. Apparently, my insurance company cares more about their customers than PB Toyota. I am very disappointed in how this played out and so Peter Boulware Toyota has made a little bit of money on me now but has lost a whole lot of money in the long run. read more

BUYER BEWARE!!! They tried to Scam me, on Financing, & Signing for 72 months, even though I asked for 48 months! Even though I PAID $15K (FIFTEEN THOUSAND DOLLARS DOWN) They wouldn't quote me a Decent Intrest Rate, even though my Credit score is 835. A 4.9% INTREST RATE, & 36 to 48 months would have been Decent, for a 3yr old Used Avalon Hybrid Limited. They stuck me with a 9.9% interest rate, for 72 months! No worries, I immediately went to my Bank, & did a REFI LOAN, I secured my payment with my own Savings Account, & got a 4% Interest rate, for only 36 months! My payment is only $321.00. I got a 48 Month Warranty from ENDURANCE, for only $122.00 a month! (I Pay for 30 months, & get 18 months FREE) The signing lady tried to screw me, for 48 months & stick me with a 48 month warranty, for $169.99 a month, stack ALL of it on top, & finance ALL of that in with their Horrible 9.9% intrest rate! It is not my First Rodeo, I am 58 yrs old, & been doing Bank loans since I was 9 yrs old, co-signed by my Grandpa! He owned many Businesses! GO ANYWHERE ELSE FOR SERVICE Today I had an appointment at 2:30 for a routine oil change and tire rotation. They tried to tell me I needed to have a random recall check on my battery during my visit which was odd because my family works in Toyota and I was not aware of this but it did not raise any red flags. I was told that the car was good to go, paid, was pushed to sign papers before they brought me my car to inspect. I sat in the car to depart from this dealership and it would not start. This happened at about 4:15 and has not happened before today. It is a 1 year old battery. It is now 6pm and I am now being told that I need a new battery. But they earlier told me my battery passed inspection...They brought me the "new bill" and did not realize through their "checks" I have a Toyota warranty battery. I don't have to pay a thing. I am now being told I will wait another hour (making the time 2:30-7pm). My car I guess went to the back of the line? Which in this particular instance I do NOT understand. A usually 1 hour appointment turned into me still being here almost 4 hours later all because they probably thought they could make some extra money off a clueless college student. I had also initially denied some other things the service rep suggested and his responses weren't ideal. Prices are not posted on the used cars. They don't want informed buyers. Every car we looked at was the priced at high end of blue book value AND came with a $3,000 "care" package added on top of which amounted to rain repellant sprays, edge trim, and other high margin services that don't have any value. I think a clear coat was involved - that's the clear coat that peels and flakes off your car after you park in your driveway in Florida summers for a couple years - um...thanks but can I pay you to leave that off? For a $3,000 care (*cough*ripoff*cough) fee added to the already overpriced used cars, you would think these little money makers have been detailed to the nines right? Surely 3k buys a lot of vacuuming or shampoo? Yet when I looked at these "affordable" cars they showed little sign of having any work done or even basic cleaning to justify your cost as a buyer. I was told an ozone treatment could be involved. Nah, one car reeked of women's perfume and the other of cigarettes. I tried out (and liked) a car I'll affectionately call grandma's car. Low miles and looked fine. There was lots of visible dog hair on a couple seats. They handn't bothered to do any cleaning. It would have taken me a few minutes with a .25 cent lint roller to get the worst off. But all of ya'll get to pay a fancy 3k dealer fee for rain repellant spray (which has toxic PFAS) and other high margin services. Can you guys just clean the car, take your 1k dealer fee and call it a day? Can I pay you extra not to douse my car in toxic chemicals? So Grandma's car was nice, and I didn't mind that it reeked of dog, and the family probably sold it for under 10k to Toyota (they offered 2k for my husband's hybrid Toyota which is 8k-10k on the open market). But here you go buyer, this dealership is going to get you out the door with Grandma's 2010 dog car (a modest Honda accord/civic type car) for somewhere above 21k after taxes titles and fees are done. And they'll shake your hand really confidently so I guess you get a nice handshake thrown in for your down payment on a house. Just bring some lint rollers for the dog hair. On the bright side the salesperson wasn't pushy, and didn't object to us wanting to see the vehicles we liked. Two stars. Vote with your money. Restore buyer-centered car buying. Stop throwing money at them. They do this because you pay it. Stop doing that. read more

I really wish that I could give zero stars to this dealership. I can't even express to you how bad of experience I had. First impression from texting to the first person I met were great. I was told via their website that my car was worth $9,500-10,000. Awesome, right? My car is is perfect condition, give or take some dog hair inside. No wrecks. No issues. Reliable and a hot commodity in todays market. Anyways, I go into the the dealership and the guy says that because I drove out there (2hrs) that he can absolutely work a deal for me. I was upfront when I spoke with them before coming and as soon as I sat down that I couldn't increase my current monthly payment more than $50 really. The guy said okay, we can make that work. Fast forward, I had done research on the vehicle on their lot I was interested in. It had been in a wreck. It was over tested for electrical issues and had moved dealerships 3 times in 3 months. That's gotta mean somethings wrong. We test drive. I can feel the issue while driving and note it to the sales guy. He didn't seem worried because the last person didn't say anything. I used to be a mechanic, so I'm pretty sure that I would know if there was an issue. But alright. We go inside and wait 45 minutes (it wasn't busy there at all) for them to appraise my car. By the questions I was asked following the "appraisal" I could tell they hadn't even opened the door or even really looked at it. They were asking me about the car to gain a percentage of what the KBB value was. Based on the condition of my car, KBB would label it as good condition ($12k) But they used the "fair" which was $9k. Then took the percentage out of that and were trying to offer me $6k. I obviously refused that it was accurate. Then they told me that it was because of my review of my car. When it was legit a good review. Everything was an 8/10 or higher from me. So where did the number come from? Idk. I didn't need to sell my car so I said that. I also tried to negotiate the price of the vehicle since they were charging $23,500 for a car with evident issues and it had been in a wreck. It had 40k miles. Before I came, I KBB'ed it. And I searched up other used ones. Just to get an idea of what other people were pricing it at. It was on average, priced at $18k with a LOWER mileage. They were way off. So I shared that. Shared the screenshots. They then told me "well then why'd you come here" and I expressed that it was because it was the closest and I figured since I was told you'd make something work for me today that it was worth my time. I was SO wrong. They refused to back off the price at all. They also refused to remove their "benefits" package. No one needs to spend $5000 for ceramic coating, leather wipes, headlight sealer, and an app that tells me if my cars been stolen. I think I'd notice if my car is stolen. Total cost they wanted me to pay was $35k. Hell no. The payment that they said was the lowest they could do was $400 OVER what I said I could pay. And they would not negotiate at all with me. They talked to me as if I was an idiot. Assuming because I'm a young female. But little did they know that I 1. Was a mechanic, and 2. Currently work in real estate so I absolutely understand how financing works and they were full of shit. They talked down to me like I was stupid. Made me feel like crap because it was close to close and they didn't want to have to stay late. I've bought a car before. And it was easy. This was a shit show. I'd never go here again. I'd highly advise you not to. They are absolutely worthless. I spent $50 on gas to get there, and 6 hours of my time dealing with the drive as well as their attitudes. Beware!! read more

Just an all around terrible place to buy a vehicle. Salesmen are not really going to help you. This dealership is only concerned with increasing their bottom line. I leased a vehicle from them and had written confirmation that any Toyota dealership in the country will take the car back once the lease was over. For context I was moving in a year. Fast forward three years later and I went to a dealership up Kirby to rerun the vehicle and was told I could do it. Needless to say pandemonium ensued and hours of phone calls later the new dealership accepted the vehicle. It should be that difficult....... Avoid, avoid, avoid at all costs. read more

Expensive as expected? Yes. Did I get service in a timely manner? Also yes. Did it all come at a cost? YES!! There are oil stains on the interior of my car that was not there prior to service at Peter Boulware. I have pictures of the clear interior when I dropped the car off and stains after picking it up perhaps that is an area to consider for future improvement. Disappointed. read more

Sold me a used car with suspected transmission issues and profited $8k off of it. They would not make right by it either. Very pushy and unrealistic sales people, and poor management. Spent the whole day there more than once. Lie about financing and tries to increase rates for lenders to profit. First papers are with ink. The rest are on a scree built into a table so that you don't get a chance to really read how you are being screwed over. This is not an honest business. read more

Terrible collision center. Took vehicle in the day the appointment was made for. They didn't show me coming in that day. And then wanted to reschedule. Never again will I take a car there. read more
