They went up on the fees apparently that are added on during final purchase which isn't calculated until the final purchase. Issue is they have gone up so much on those fees that if you have a pre-approval from your bank or whoever, while using their website information for what the vehicle cost will leave you with a surprise extra 2k to 3k in fees. But, okay I'll roll with that. After the purchase, the car died on me overnight. Had to have it towed next day. They did a little more inspection this time...The vehicle was not inspection properly before being sold. They gave 4 new tires and an alignment on them. Okay I'll roll with that. A few weeks later, my console is telling me something is draining the battery so I called them again to see if they even did a basic inspection on yhe vehicle. They sent me to a local shop that works on bmws etc. Turns out they put a battery that was too small for the vehicle instead of getting the correct battery... Highly likely won't be buying through Carmax again.

They let my mother and I drive the car to my dad so he could check it out and then to my mechanic to have it fully checked once we ran the numbers and I decided I wanted it as long as it checked out by my mechanic. The car has a few minor cosmetic issues (small scratches in the paint) that are to be expected. The trunk latch cover had dry rotted (it's plastic and this is a common issue), Michael found us a replacement quickly and offered to have it painted as well for way cheaper than Toyota charges for just the piece. The car came with 4 brand new tires, unfortunately the previous owner had straddled a curb or something causing damage to the interior of the rim--which was causing the tire to bubble. (My mechanic found it after he lifted the car to check the bearings.) Michael and his father took off the price of a new rim and tire so we could replace them. They also gave me a very fair price for my trade. Michael, Ray, and I'm sure the others that work at Auto Showcase are amazing and honest people-- they made buying this car quick and easy...they even stayed late so we could get it all done. I highly recommend them to everyone, hands down the best car looking/buying experience I and my family has had.

Good luck if you need more work done. They don't stock common parts for the most popular model. They recently had my car 5 days to replace a water pump. Now that my extended warranty is running out I do not intend to ever return there. Not to mention they speak to you as though you are a gullible idiot. What they don't know is that i have worked in a parts and service department at a dealership in the past. I actually know what goes on and how it can work smoothly. These people need to get a decent manager and start over from scratch. Avoid them until that happens.

Last year, I…read morebrought my vehicle to Werner Hyundai regarding peeling paint covered by Hyundai's Z05 extended paint warranty. A Werner employee told me they did not handle the paint work there and instructed me to go to 850 Auto. I did exactly that. In fact, I went to 850 Auto multiple times because they needed to retake the photographs for the claim. I was specifically assured that I had complied with the warranty deadline because I brought the vehicle in and had the photographs taken. I was told, essentially, that as long as I had brought it in before the deadline, I was covered, but that the actual repair could take a long time because there were so many claims. I then spent the better part of a year waiting and repeatedly trying to get updates. When I finally reached someone at 850 Auto about getting the paint work completed, 850 Auto sent me back to Werner Hyundai. Werner took yet another set of photographs -- the third set in total -- and Dylan Fudge told me I would hear back regarding the warranty. I never received that promised call. After I explained this entire history to Werner's warranty manager, Dee, I was told that I am now supposedly too late for warranty coverage and that the best they can do is treat the repair as "goodwill." I found their tone dismissive and unhelpful, particularly after I explained that I had followed Werner's instructions and had been trying to resolve this for a year now. Even more frustrating, I was told that 850 Auto is not an authorized body shop. Then why did Werner Hyundai send me there in the first place? I did not independently choose 850 Auto. I went there because Werner Hyundai instructed me to go there. I followed the instructions I was given, had photographs taken multiple times, repeatedly sought updates, and relied on the assurance that I had met the deadline. Now, after all of that, I'm being treated as though I simply showed up late and Werner is doing me a favor by considering "goodwill" assistance. My experience has involved being sent back and forth, repeated photographs, promised callbacks that never came, conflicting information, and an enormous amount of unnecessary effort just to obtain the paint repair I originally approached Werner about before the deadline. I have escalated the matter and retained documentation of my attempts to resolve it. I will update this review if Werner Hyundai ultimately resolves the situation appropriately.
