A few days before my appointment, Christina called to ask if I had changed insurance because she couldn't find my coverage. I didn't have my insurance card with me at the time, so I told her I would call back once I had it. I contacted my insurance company, and they confirmed that my coverage was active and nothing had changed. I then called the doctor's office and spoke with a different staff member, who simply said, "That's fine. Just bring your insurance card to your appointment." When I arrived for my visit, Christina asked for my insurance card. After looking at it, she said she actually needed my new member ID because the ID number on file was different from the one associated with my current coverage. This was the first time anyone had explained the actual issue to me. I immediately said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't realize that was the problem. Let me call my insurance company and get that information." Instead of simply explaining what was needed, Christina began lecturing me, insisting that she had already told me this during our earlier phone call. She repeatedly argued about what she remembered saying rather than listening to what I was trying to explain. Her tone was condescending and dismissive, and she continued arguing even after I explained that this was not the information I had been given. The entire interaction could have been handled with one simple response: "It sounds like there may have been a misunderstanding. Here's what we need. Would you be able to get that information for us?" Instead, it became more important to prove she was right than to help resolve the issue. I'm honestly disappointed that someone working in a medical office would communicate with patients this way. My entire family has been coming to this practice, but after this experience, we'll be looking for another provider.

Extremely Disappointing Experience…read more My husband and I scheduled appointments to reestablish care with Valley Oaks after our original provider, Dr. Shin, left the practice. We received confirmation texts showing my appointment at 11:00 a.m. and my husband's at 11:15 a.m. We arrived 15 minutes early, only to find out that my husband's appointment had been changed to 7:30 a.m. without any notification. I showed the staff our confirmation text, but was simply told it was "booked wrong" and that he would need to reschedule. There was no apology or accountability, despite us both taking the day off work. The clinic itself was also extremely disappointing. The facility was run-down and dirty, with visibly worn broken furniture, and dirty used water cups throughout the office. The overall condition of the office did not give us confidence in the quality of care. So maybe it was a sign. After this experience, we feel we're better off finding a different provider. Extremely disappointing from start to finish.

I had seen her in person and asked if she could help me find a better physical therapist because ATI where she sent me wasn't working. After 6 session with them at $150 each session; I felt worse. She wrote it down that she would help me find someone. She also was supposed to fill out disability paperwork for me as we discussed that meeting. Lastly, she said she would get my results from the urologist that charged me $400 & didn't send over the results. I felt so happy & listened to after seeing her in person. This is Friday. Monday comes and goes. I call to ask if there's any update on the physical therapist. No answer - i left a message. I called for two weeks straight & nobody returned my call or contacted me back. I left 10 messages. Finally they answered and said that they needed to call me back. It's been about 14 days and I'm in so much pain because I haven't seen a physical therapist. I find my own since I can't wait any longer. I need Michelle to send a referral. I call for the referral & She told me I wasn't doing what she wanted so she never sent over the paperwork they were requesting and that I needed to do the X-ray & when I asked which X-ray? I have never been told to do an X-ray as I did the MRI. She said she would call me back. They called to say she had sent over the paperwork i was requesting. She just never responded to that question about the X-ray & said she would be sending the paperwork that the disability specialist. This is after 3 weeks now. She just never brought up the X-ray again; I think she was completely confusing me with something else. They attempted twice now to request the information from her. In 30 days she has not responded. I found my own physical therapist & I've been going since but I need to find another doctor because I have no faith in this place anymore. Sorry if anyone ended up having a bad experience as well.

My wife was under the care of one of this organization's physicians - one who hadn't left (like many do from this organization) and tried to schedule with another pain management provider. The subsequent pain management provider couldn't see her before her prescription refills were due - and so we BEGGED this organization to see her on a special circumstance/emergency basis. We even offered to pay cash for the emergency appointment THEY FLAT OUT - WITHOUT ANY CONCERN, CARE, OR SEMBLANCE OF COMPASSION - REFUSED. STAY AWAY from this organization if you care about your health and care. CLEARLY, this organization does not. They ONLY care about your bank account and how much they can extract from it. This accounting is 100% FACTUAL.

REBUTTAL TO NEGATIVE REVIEWS…read more I looked at Yelp to get some information on my doctor and saw the reviews here. I feel compelled to rebut some of these as I find them to be preposterous. I've been seeing Dr. Lipshutz since a near fatal car accident in March of 2021. He is a very knowledgeable and compassionate pain management doctor and I never felt he was more interested in money over patient care. Contrary to some of the reviews below, I've called the office literally dozens of times and I never experienced not having my calls answered. The exception is of course when the office is closed or during the lunch break. Also contrary to some of the comments, I've never had to wait very long and I've had more visits than most over the past 17 months. I would never tolerate the long waits described below and I've "fired" several doctors in Las Vegas for just that kind of poor service. Because of the extent of my injuries, I've been seeing several other health care providers including a neurologist, a neurosurgeon, an orthopedist, a chiropractor, and a psychiatrist. Every one of these doctors has expressed a very favorable opinion of Dr. Lipshutz. Frankly, I can't imagine even considering seeing any other pain management.

Dropped calls, crappy communication, part of the staff is beyond awesome..... then there's the other staff. This is sad. Really sad.
