I only needed routine cleanings and a clearance before starting orthodontic treatment. The staff were friendly and pleasant, and I want to acknowledge that. But the overall experience left me uncomfortable. There was consistent administrative friction around things that should have been simple, and nearly every visit came with a new recommendation for additional work. One example: I mentioned tooth sensitivity and was told it didn't qualify as a cavity, but a composite resin could be placed for about $450-$475, not covered by my plan. At a later visit, I was presented with another roughly $400 in charges. Over time, it felt less like care tailored to my needs and more like I was being tested on what I'd be willing to pay. If you go, I'd recommend asking for a clear explanation of why each procedure is necessary, what your plan covers, and getting a second opinion before agreeing to anything out of pocket.

They do not do well at supporting patients with sensory issues or dental anxiety, or conditions like TMJ that make dental visits difficult. With new patients they are kinder, but with every visit I have made they have become less supportive and less accommodating. My last cleaning was extremely unpleasant and I was shamed into not taking breaks over the course of multiple procedures and fittings even though holding my jaw open causes my TMJ to flare. Then there's the high-pressure upselling. For several years, the dentists and hygienists at this practice have been trying to get me to buy a dental-grade night guard out of pocket, even though I had an over-the-counter one I had been happy with. I finally agreed because they told me it would help my gums and that I would face severe consequences if I did not "make the investment." I had to pay $750 (!!!) out of pocket. When the night guard arrived, it was so bulky and uncomfortable that I could not get a good night's sleep in it and I woke in the morning with severe jaw pain on both sides of my jaw. I went back to have it adjusted and suddenly I was being told that having a night guard means sleeping with your mouth open and accepting dry mouth, that jaw pain often gets worse at first, and that I would have to accept some bad sleep in order to become accustomed to the night guard. I cannot stress enough that this was NOT disclosed to me prior to when I made the purchase. Since the practice knew about my sensory and dental anxiety issues, I feel strongly that they should have talked to me about what the night guard would be like before pushing me to buy it. When I explained the above, the practice offered me only a partial refund, which would mean that I spent hundreds of dollars on nothing. I feel my trust was taken advantage of and I would encourage others to look for a different practice.
