Pricey? Yes. Worth it? Yes!…read more I don't shop here often but when I do, their products are top notch - fresh and worth every penny! It's definitely expensive shopping here but you really do get what you pay for. I come here mainly for their bakery items like their famous jelly roll cake - a must get for the holidays! Their cookies here are baked in house and delicious as well. I often come here during the holidays for herbs as well, since herbs seem to sell out quickly at larger grocery stores. They really have everything that you need here. Butcher section also has great quality meat. As for their ice cream pints at the back of the store - you MUST get some! They are so delicious with unique flavours, some even with an Asian twist. Overall, a great grocery store to shop from if you have the means for it ;) OR stop in here once in a while to check out their specialty items like the jelly roll!

Yes, this place is pretty pricey but you can find specialty products here. Gluten free? No problem!…read moreI found the tastiest beef empanadas from Woah Dough! You gotta check them out! I stopped by to pick up one of their infamous jelly rolls. Never had one but heard that it's amazing. The standard one is the mixed berry however they had a lemon & blueberry one so I opted to go with that since hubby loves that flavor combination. We took it to a friend's house that night and it was exquisite! My friends who said that they normally don't like cake now have a new addiction. The cake had the perfect texture to it to hold up all that amazing fresh cream, lemon curd and blueberries and it was also a perfect balance of sweetness. I've been there on multiple occasions while living in Markham usually interacting with the staff in bakery and the cashiers and everyone I have encountered has been lovely. The parking lot isn't massive but it is enough to host all of their shoppers as I've never had an issue with finding parking there.

I was on a little hike with my mom today and thought to stop by Greek Market Cafe for a quick drink…read more& pastry snack (because I'm a huge sucker to loukoumades), and everything we got here was impressive. First - the latte was super delicious. We both got latte with oat milk - they were extremely smooth, creamy but the beans were also dark but not overly bitter. It was perfectly rounded, and buttery. I can't wait to go back & try more variation of espresso drinks. Pastry wise, it was insane. The loukoumades delivered - it was super fresh with fragrant honey, and rich cinnamon powder on top. It was perfect with the coffee. The absolute peak, highlight of our meal was the Trigona. Holy s, that gotta be one of the best pastries I've had. The cream was smooth, silky, the pistachio was sweet and floral, and the phyllo? That was divine intervention. That last bite of the Trigona sent me straight to heaven. I'll be back often whenever I'm up north.

So recently I revisited but this time I had mixed feelings. I think because of what we ordered. We ordered mostly dessert this time and I think they were just too sweet for our taste. We ordered the biscoff tres leche cake , a blakava , and custard filled filo and a sausage roll. All the dessert were very sweet, especially the blakava. The sausage roll was not what I have expected (the British style sausage roll) but it was really a sausage (in casing) wrapped with puff pastry, it tasted ok. I think I will still come back again to try the other savory items.
