For our date night, we decided to try Peter's German Grill and Bakery, which is very close to our house. It did not disappoint! It was freshly made, and delicious! The service was fantastic! Our meals were made by Peter himself! It's a small and cozy restaurant with shelves full of German groceries. There are also homemade pastries and cakes! If the tables are taken, there are quaint tables outside. I highly recommend Peter's, and will definitely be back! 5/5

Peter has been an institution in El Paso for German food lovers for many decades. He has a bakery background so his German bread and cakes are really delicious. He is a hard worker who keeps the store open on his own. They have great sauerkraut and Bratwurst on the roll with grilled onions. Their schnitzel is also solid with many original German beers . Peter also does a mean Goulash soup and the best Kartofel salad in town. The atmosphere is low key but you have a great "Stamtish and a Bavarian touch. You can also find some German spices and Knorr soups as well as Dolmeyer coffee.

Authentic German food. Authentic German staff. If in Germany, the service would be considered superb! Nice little tables with decorations. Fair selection of dry goods from Germany. Excellent German Chocolate cake!

Yes Please!!! Visiting family in El Paso & decided to stop in & so happy we did. My husband & FIL had the bratwurst, son had Wiener on a roll & I had the Hawaiian Schnitzel. They all enjoyed their food & oh so did I. The inside is small but their is also some sidewalk seating too. The one man that was working there was super nice. When we visit El Paso again this will be on the top of my list of places to stop.

I had heard their chocolate cake is amazing so I ordered a 3 layer round of chocolate cake for my husband's birthday. I also ordered #9 and two #11. 5 types of German beer and $100 later went home to enjoy the meal. We sang our happy birthdays and cut into the cake and discovered it was not what I ordered. Not a chocolate cake but black forest. It was ok but not a fan of cherries. The schnitzel was ok and the sausage was ok too. The gentleman behind the counter was nice which is why this review will not completely tank. I still wished I got my chocolate cake, even after my second slice lol

If you're looking for something different in the city, we'll you found it. A small business but you definitely feel the big German culture when you step inside. As your eyes wonder around the place you can see the vast products it has to offer. From the baked goods to the German beer. Feeling for something savory? Try the German chips located by the counter. He's a one man show so he'll sometimes be busy and you might have to wait to get served (but not a lot). The service can be a little more serious than we're used to, but it can be the difference in culture. Don't think that it wasn't cordial. You'll get your Danke! when you're on your way out.

This is a nice little place, and since I've never been, reminiscent of Germany in El Paso. I had the combo plate which was a bratwurst and schnitzel with tomato sauce. I loved the bread and potato salad! The bratwurst was unlike what I'm used to eating sausages from the store; it was better prepared and not as ugly inside with all the byproducts. I'm glad I came and experienced this place. The man working was very nice and speaks Spanish.

A cute, small restaurant & store to come to for German food. I really liked the bratwurst and potato salad! My favorite part, however, was the German chocolate cake. It was fresh and delicious with a rich chocolate flavor! I would drive back just to pick some of that cake up. The man working here was really nice as well. It's a great place to try!

Small little Mexi-PR fusion cafe on the far east...buzzing…read more I enjoyed a MexiMocha latte. It was a nice little out of the way place that a lot of folks know about. So, it got crowded in the dining room pretty quick. If it weren't so busy or if they cycled through the customers, it would be better. I also got the ham, cheese, and egg sandwich...it was pretty good. No extra ingr dients, just those in the name. Plenty of sandwich...we split two between four peeps. They had a bunch of table games to keep you entertained in case you wanted to hang out I would like to try their guava and other pastries, their Caribbean sandwiches (tripleta, and bistec). Pastries and desserts were looking pretty good. I'd come me back to try, but probably would take it to go. I will try this place out again.

Walking in the area is very cute. I wanted to stay in and eat but I kept getting this ammonia smell…read morethat was making my head hurt so we got the food to go. We got cubanos with tostones. Both were very good and the portions are huge my partner and I should've just shared. I was a little disappointed of their mango tamarindo drink. I thought that it was mango and tamarind(the fruit) mixed together not chamoy and chile(Tajín) in the drink. I wasn't happy and just ordered another and asked if I can have the mango and tamarind without chili and they said yes. The tamarind still has a spice to it which it shouldn't, tamarind is tart and sour. I guess that's where the misconception of Mexican and Puerto Rican terms collide. I would go back but I guess ask next time if the drinks are Puerto Rican terms or in Mexican terms.
