Have had Pete's do work on multiple vehicles, from my Jeep to my Dodge Ram tow rig, and the work is top notch every time. It's not the cheapest place in town, but when it comes to my vehicles I'd rather have the work done correctly rather than cheaply. They have done some pretty specific off-road stuff to the Jeep, and Pete, as a fellow Jeep owner, knows Jeeps better than most other places in town (especially Saitta). Lots of folks mention bad experiences on here, but most of those are older. I know Pete has had to replace a couple of mechanics in the past, and the team working there now seem good to us. read more

i paid $4700 to repair my truck. When I got it back it ran worse than when I took it in. So I took it back. They said oh that's something else. What I wanted was my truck repaired and road worthy. They shined me on. Now I'm on a 1000 mile trip. Truck barely makes it up the hills. The same problem I took it to them is still a problem. AND since I got my truck back I have two new problems that weren't an issue when I brought it to them. They ignore me and just kind of figure it's my problem. I called Pete's around 10am and was told I could bring Jeep in at 1pm. I had a couple of fault codes and a valve stem with stripped threads. I was expecting to have a diagnosis and then an appointment scheduled but they went right to work with replacing the valve stem and pursuing the fault codes, which included a "smoke" test and replacing a leaky hose. I had an issue with the transmission in my Dodge Dakota. Seems as if a V8, 5-speed, 4X4 is a rare truck. After attempting to repair the transmission, Pete's elected to send the truck to Baca National Transmission in Las Vegas. To shorten this saga, 3 month later, I got the truck back in worse condition than when I left it. Communication with Baca dropped to zero. Even Pete's had little success finding out the status or expediting the rebuild. I finally threw in the towel and went back to Pete's to request a refund of my $1600 deposit. I'll assume Pete's was sympathetic to the trial and tribulations of this, and issued a refund with barely a complaint on my part. A 1 star Yelp review became 5 stars because of their customer respect. read more

I asked them to replace my fuel pump with involves pulling the bed off my truck, they said they pulled the bed off and checked the pump and it did not need replacing but added new hoses and clamps for $500.00 one day later it all fell apart. I had it towed back to them and they said they repaired it for $300.00. It worked now but leaks when full. Gave up! I do not recommend them at all. read more

We've had to go to another shop, pay another almost $600 to redo all the brakes!! How about our money back Pete's??? BTW this work was done by Pete's a month ago, my daughter went back 5 times because the brakes weren't right and they were screeching.... Pete's said "you need to break them in!" WTH!!! read more

I've gone to Pete's many times for my 2015 Honda Civic. I've gotten several oil changes. Back in May, I replaced my old battery. Fast forward to November and my battery was acting up again and my car kept dying. I brought it in and they replaced it free of charge! Left a message requesting to schedule an appointment - no call back. I called again requesting the earliest appointment for an oil change/tire rotation because I had to get to work as soon as this was done. They said 8:00 AM. I was there at 8:00 AM but they did not show up until 8:15 AM. Scheduled an oil change an tire rotation. I had concerns about the tire rotation from a previous experience with them that I could not prove, so I marked the tires this time. When I paid the bill, I asked if the tires were rotated and they said "yes". When I got to my car, the marked tires had not been rotated. I had to wait another hour for them to rotate the tires. I would not recommend them. read more

I've been taken advantage of at other places but here they are straightforward, tell you exactly what is wrong and what needs to be done to fix it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE TO PETES AUTO CLINIC. Back in February I spent atleast $1k there for them to fix a hood latch system on my hood of my car, needed new brakes, and my headlights were out. They charged me $880 for brakes and rotors and a $200 deposit for the hood latch system because they didn't have the part in after atleast 2 weeks at this point. They said my rotors AND brakes needed to be replaced so we did and I had to take my car back not even a week later because of the awful screeching and grinding noise, as if nothing was replaced. We took it back and they said "oh they need to be broken in you'll be fine" so then they cut my grill to my car open to access the broken hood latch (with promises to fix them both) and said we would have access to open the hood with the way they're doing it since they cut my grill and they would give us a call back when the new part was in. Fast forward to now, we never got a call back saying our part was in, tried lying saying we gave them the wrong phone number, (we called numerous times with a voicemail attached with our name and our vehicle so if they really tried calling they'd know it was the wrong number) I took my car to AAA auto repair in Henderson and they told me that Pete's lied about being able to open my hood, so I had to pay for them to break off the temp latch that was there to hold the hood down. My car was completely out of oil and now the engine is probably shot. So today my husband calls Petes and asks for our $200 deposit back at the very least for all the inconvenience we had and now I have to buy a whole ass new car after I get a second opinion from enicks today. A worker named Alex is REFUSING to give me back my full $200 deposit because "it's not fair to him" he tried lying saying my husband was there when they cut my grill, and when we both told him now tf he was not he was there after and now Alex is saying "we had verbal approval" and I said you're right, we never said you didn't have approval but I'm telling you right now, neither of us were there so now you're just lying more to cover your ass. He half ass apologized for lying and then denied it said he wasn't lying. I told him to bring up the cameras and that's when he finally admitted it. Not to mention he says they changed my headlight but my headlight still doesn't work, he calling me a liar saying I just keep adoing things and that I could've closed the hood for all he knows since it's may and this was mid February. So now I will be going into Pete's at 1 today to talk to the owner himself because this is BEYOND ridiculous. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES HERE THEY DO NOT CARE AND WILL NOT WORK WITH YOU!!! I also told him that I will be getting a receipt break down of everything enicks finds today, going to have them look at my brake and rotors, show that my headlight has a good bulb in it but doesn't work (they broke that too) and get ANOTHER mechanic to show we cannot open our hood latch still. They overcharged me and gave me an unitemized invoice When I called for explanation they gave me several different exclamations for the charges. I found them to be very dishonest. Make sure you check your invoice and have them itemize it. They also charge a 220 inspection see if you have your car towed in instead of the 65 if you drive it in. read more

I had a fuel leak on a 2017 Toyota Rav 4. At first they seemed very friendly and reasonable, but they refused to give me an estimate even after agreeing to put 100 down for the repair. They were too lazy to drain the fuel tank, and the epoxy would not cure because of the gasoline. They left me stranded in Pahrump because of their incompetence. I was grossly overcharged 400 for what should have been a simple job. They ripped me off because I was from out of town. They also may have damaged my fuel gauge from dropping the tank. Took my truck in for a Heater core, drivers window switch, engine & transmission all under extended warranty and after 2 weeks they still hadn't replaced my engine(never told the warranty company about it), so I drove it to Vegas to Chevy for the engine after having to return to them several times for the small things the did half way and wrong. They stole my $80 K&N air filter and put a cheapy $10 one in its place, the things they got paid for are still not working! They broke things inside and did not replace them, and when you tell Pete about the problems he just yells and screams for you to leave his property!!!! Petes Auto has been my mechanic for about a year now. They ran a special last year and I've brought my car there ever since. Great service. They had to install new motor mounts on my car last Nov. Recently, I moved to CA and one of the mounts was found to be defective. I brought it back to Pete's when I was in town, they kept it over night to diagnose the problem and fixed it with no hassle and at no expense. I like how they show you what's wrong in your car and give you the parts they replace. I have also found them to be honest about how long you can go before getting an oil change depending on the use of your car. After going to a big box store and being recommended to replace my synthetic oil at nearly half the mileage, which I knew was wrong, I see this as a good indicator of service. read more
