Every time the paint color match is perfect, the price is reasonable, the car or truck is done on time and washed before we get there and the quality of the work is 2nd to none. As of Monday, 10/29/12, Auto Body Connection is no longer a "State Farm Select Service Repair Facility." My agent informed me that this was the result of a number of complaints, with mine being the last straw. I am going to be brief, direct and honest in this review. After you read it, you can decide if you want to do business with Auto Body Connection. On September 7, 2012, I had a major non-injury accident on a California desert highway, driving into Nevada. My car went to the shoulder of the road and I ran over some LARGE (bowling ball sized) rocks. It completely tore up the passenger side of the car, blew out two tires, ruined the two rims. That was not the full extent of the damage but the car had to be towed into Nevada. On October 30, 2012, I picked up my car from Auto Body Connection. There was an approximate delay of one week from the time the car was ready until I picked it up, for two reasons. Initially I told Auto Body Connection that I would need a couple of extra days because I had to coordinate a trip to the DMV for a "one day permit" that would allow me to drive the car from their facility to the DMV so that I could register it. Then, the night before I was scheduled to pick it up, Auto Body Connection phoned me and said that I owed them an additional $160 due to a "betterment" charge (this is insurance-speak for an additional deductible amount imposed due to the fact that I had two new tires that were needed). I wasn't happy, and I let them know it. I paid my $250 deductible several days after I took the car to the shop and on several occasions made reference to the fact that I was paid in full and when the car was repaired I planned to pick it up and drive it off with no money exchanging hands (this was confirmed in several conversations after I had paid). A family member had to loan me so that I could get my car. The "betterment" charge never appeared on the invoice / estimate for my car. Did the body shop drop the ball when they wrote the estimate and sent it to State Farm for approval, did State Farm drop the ball when they reviewed the estimate and didn't flag the omission, or both? It doesn't matter. If I knew that I'd be charged this amount the time I approved the repairs, I could have planned ahead. But I didn't, and you don't call someone and tell them to come pick up their car and say "Oh, by the way, you owe us $160 additional." Auto Body Connection wasn't pleased with the way I communicated my displeasure and you know what? That's a real shame. I contacted my State Farm agent, complained, then someone came down from the State Farm office in Las Vegas, and made the decision to terminate Auto Body Connection's "State Farm Select Service Repair Facility" status. In addition to this, Auto Body Connection claimed the reason it took over a month to fix my car was that they had difficulty obtaining parts (and at one point a vendor had sent them incorrect parts). I can accept that as a potentially legitimate scenario, BUT...the only reason I got status updates was that I called and asked for them. I'd follow up a day or two after something was supposed to happen and would be told that the parts didn't arrive, that the wrong parts arrived, one thing after another, and it would have been a different matter if they'd bothered to pick up the phone and tell me, rather than my having to micro-manage their efforts. The woman in charge clearly was not pleased with me or my sister. When my sister sister paid for the charges she was told there was a 3% "service fee" for paying with a credit card. They agreed to skip the charge but after some dramatics about "Let's just do it so we can...END this." Caveat emptor. read more

Top notch, quality work. First time customer and very happy. When it comes to Pahrump businesses and car repair shops you would expect this place to be shady, but on the other hand, they were honest, helpful and did top notch quality work. My 5th wheel trailer suffered a blow out on the highway and had substantial damage. A1 Auto Body Connection was wonderful when communicating with my insurance company and did all the leg work to supply pictures, emails, estimates and called them directly when there were questions. The manager Charlie Bann and John were very nice and told me I could stop by anytime to check, and when I did, they stopped everything and took me out and showed me what they had done. Even when I pulled my truck and trailer in for the first time, the tech's and mechanics came out to personally look at the trailer and made a game plan right off the bat. On the down side, it did take a bit longer to complete the work, not a fault of their work. Of course, since it was a 5th wheel trailer, they had to track down parts and have things custom built and shipped out. Unfortunately, the parts were delayed due to 2 hurricanes on the east coast. when I pressed them about the time, they called and had the parts rushed in and even drove in on a Saturday afternoon to pick up the parts in Vegas, rather than wait until Monday or Tuesday for UPS delivery. I can say that while having to deal with insurance claim sucks, they helped make the process very easy and worked hand in hand with the insurance company to make this a seamless process. I overlooked the project all the way through and am very happy with the way they treated me. I know if it wasnt for them being so detail oriented, that my 5th wheel would still be unfinished at any other shop. They ordered all the parts for my tail gate and bumper before I brought the truck in, after it was dropped off On Monday morning I had the truck back by Saturday afternoon!! The work looked great !! Avoid this place like the plague. A complete and total rip-off. Was involved in a collision and the insurance company paid this place 6 grand to fix my car. Rather than put new parts on the car like they promised, they decided to "repair", and I use this word very loosely, the damaged parts. This way they were able to charge 4,000.00 in labor. Would have been much more cost effective if they just got new parts in the first place. When I went back to complain and demand money back, they had me trespassed from their property. This is after the general manager tried to prevent me from leaving in the first place by blocking me in with her body. Bottom line is that I got a new estimate and it will cost about 3,000.00 to fix what should have been fixed. And to fix the extra damage they did to my car. They got metal shavings into the window regulator and now that has to be replaced as well. Bottom line is that you would be better off giving a couple of homeless people and rubber mallet, a blow dryer and a can of spray paint. read more

Absolutely worst experience ever. Was involved in a car accident. It took them over 3 months to repair. In addition to the accident repairs I requested to have the bed of my truck sprayed with a bed liner. When it was time to pick it up they forgot to spray 1/2 the bed with the bed liner, when we went to put the tailgate down it feel off because they forgot to bolt it back on. Then when we compared the parts that they charged my insurance for and "supposedly replaced" we realized they were my original parts. The main mechanic admitted that they weren't new. Ultimately had to turn them into my insurance for fraud because there was over $2k in parts that they said they replaced but didn't. Then my paint started peeling 6 months after I got my truck back. Awful awful experience. My insurance even warned me about them before I took it in but they seemed honest in the beginning. BUT THEY AREN'T!! read more

We received a signed estimate and agreed to proceed with Auto Body Connection handling our front fender repairs over a week ago, prior to reading Yelp reviews. At that time the staff required an in person signature to get the parts ordered. We were advised the parts would be in in 2-3 days. We dropped the car off the day we were advised the parts were to be there. Three days later, upon checking the status of the job, we were very rudely informed that the parts hadn't shown up and that our car which is always garaged, had been sitting in the 100' temps for days. They provided no explanation and were extremely unprofessional and RUDE upon being asked for one. We had never planned to leave the car until it was ready to be worked on. Upon learning this information, we spoke with Sheri (an owner), and other rude office staff who were very indifferent to our concerns. I advised that I was going to write a Yelp review to share my concerns, at which point the "owner" threatened to call the police on me for "threatening to write a poor review". I would have laughed if it weren't so concerning that they evidently treat other customers this way as well. The owner then demanded I pick up my car immediately or they were going to charge storage and administrative fees. I have lived in Pahrump for 20 years and always try to shop locally and support local companies, however, I can't urge strongly enough that NO ONE ever use this company. Geico website directed me to this place because I was adding a vehicle to my policy. I asked for an inspectionand I wasrepeatedly interagoated as to why. I told they I assumed GEICO wanted to know if there was pre-existeng damage on the car. Another person came out and starte asking me the same questions over and over. Why did you come here? the website of GEICO.. What kind of inspection? I asked them if they ever had someone come out for the same reason and they would not say. Auto Body Connection here in town that did a bait and switch on me not only once but they tried to do it 2 times. I recently had this fender on my Jeep and I was given the price by them that was close to the $775.00 price range to get it fixed. I received another estimate from the Jeep dealership which was about $40 cheaper more or less. Hailey the manager called me and asked me if I wanted to schedule it in I explained to her that I could get it cheaper going somewhere else and I've already decided to go there. She told me she would beat the price and gave me a quote of $700. At the same time I asked if they would put a hood decal from the factory on and a small 4 X 4 Chrome emblem that goes on the tailgate. She said she would do it for another $40. The next day she called me and said the fender was not repairable and needed some clips and she would have to purchase a new one. The new cost is going to be $999 . I authorized her to do that and now instead of getting my truck back on Wednesday it would be ready on Friday. I did pick the Jeep up on Friday and end up paying $899 have a new Fender looks great it Blends in with the rest however , I believe that they seen an opportunity to make more money and they took advantage of it. I asked for the fender back and I looked at it and I'm thinking to myself this can be repaired they just wanted to sell me a new Fender and didn't want to honor the price that they quoted me. The back of my mind I'm starting to doubt their business practices and when I return today to have the decal and emblem put on they raise the price again so instead of now being $40 it was going to be between $53 and $83 or $85. Now we had to wait on the decal because UPS delivered it from Mopar and they crushed the box so the first one they got and they looked at was not usable which was no fault of theirs. Once they change the price the second time to install the decal to almost double the estimated price I knew they were doing another bait and switch or She could be incompetent in giving an estimate or they are a dishonest company. I really didnt have a problem if it took a couple extra days because I understand they have to order parts and I didnt have a problem if it actually needed a new Fender. My problem is they sold me something I didn't need and they changed the price on me just so they could beat out the other body shop in town. In the back of my mind I questioned whether they needed to put a new Fender on it but I decided to let it go but after her horrible attitude today I decided to see if she was correct that I did need a new Fender which I verified this by going to another body shop that told me the fender could be fixed. Now she got extremely upset with me when I told her I didn't want to have it done because now I'm questioning the first repair they did and the bait-and-switch tactic not only did they try it once on me but they tried it twice on me. After I told her about they way I was thing about her estimates that then she got extremely mad stormed out of the room and said we're done ripped up the second estimate and started to argue with me. I'm thinking what horrible customer service is this. if you didn't want to do it you could have said it politely. My human nature started to kick in because of her bad behavior and I started argue and then I thought to myself it's not even worth it and I just walked out of the building waited for my car. The driver that came up I explained to him I'm not mad I'm disappointed because you've given me two different estimates and twice it's been changed and when I your company said the fender couldn't be repaired and he told me it totally different reason why he couldn't repair it versus the reason she gave me on Tuesday. The right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. Now i have read about the manager with a short fuse I understand that she has customer service issues also I read in the other review here how she changed the price and added some other fees what the State Farm quote. As for me and I can only speak for myself I will never return there again. read more

Stay away from this place. They kept my car an extra 2 days because there wasn't anyone at their shop to drive to Vegas to get the part they ordered. Completely unprofessional. When I asked them why they said it was because someone had come into the shop threatening them and they had to call the police. I could only imagine why someone would threaten them after the horrible customer service. A horrible experience. There was nothing professional about this place. The work they did was ok, but I think another place would have done a much better job with that as well. read more
