Mine is smooth and flavourful such that I was more than happy to get it another time when my family was running errands. For my brother-in-law, who is a coffee drinker but not a pistachio fan, I ordered a caramel macchiato but was guided by the barista to get a caramel vanilla latte instead. I took her lead and my BIL said it was delicious. My sister was less impressed with their hot chocolate, which she said was more like steamed milk with some chocolate flavor. I took me a bit longer to arrive at this location after running a couple of errands. It was easy finding this location. It's on the main floor of an office building. Parking is paid. However, if you're a customer of Shawarma Box Plus, you get 45 minutes for free parking. I parked and headed inside the eatery. Staff had just mopped the floor. There was a sign to be careful. I stood at the counter. There were a few customers placing orders. A nice man came over to help me. I indicated that I had an Uber Eats order. He found it and handed me my food. I thanked him and happily left. There were plenty of spots to sit down and eat at this eatery. I headed home to have dinner. I had one order for dinner that evening and the other the following night. I loved the shish taouk and kefta. The proteins were grilled to perfection, and were juicy and flavourful. So good! I got each order with rice, tabouli, pickles, pickled turnips, garlic potatoes, tahini, and pomegranate and signature sauces. They were excellent, except for the pickles. They were extremely salty. I couldn't handle eating them, so I didn't. The pickled turnips weren't salty, so it helped that I had something pickled. The garlic potatoes were awesome. I wish I got more. I may need to get a side order of them next time. They had the perfect garlic-to-potato ratio. What surprised me the most was the baklava. It was divine. It was pure perfection and is probably the best that I have ever had. It was flaky with a lot of chopped pistachios and a touch of honey that didn't make this dessert super sweet. I am salivating. I want more baklava. I need to get some for my dad. He's the baklava lover in the family. This place was a gem of an awesome find. I will be back to try more items off the menu and get more baklava. We enjoyed a few specials including the farmers omelette, eggs Benedict with regular bacon and grilled cheese + bacon and fries. I have to say, their home fries are yummy! You don't feel heavy after eating them knowing they were sautéed on the grill, not deep fried. The farmers omelette is where it's at! Applewood smoked bacon, farmers sausage, cheddar cheese, peppers, tomato and I think onion. Maybe something else in there too. Either way, it was delicious. I don't often order omelettes but the force was strong with this one. I was one happy girl that morning. One last thought about Phil's that I think is lovely is the fresh fruit bowl. I peeked into a friends bowl and saw it was filled with strawberries, raspberries, cantaloupe and bananas. Mmm. Bill came to just over $25 with tip and tax included.
