Wish I could give 0 stars. Got my lawnmower serviced by this guy who was super nice when I went there the first time. Spent approximately $200 getting carb rebuilt, blade sharpened, etc. I used the lawnmower 2 times due to it being the winter months and when I tried to start it 2 months after the service it wouldn't start and the gas would just leak out. Went back to this shop at 8:30am on a Tuesday and Pete wasn't there when his business hours says he opens at 8am. I called him and he said he wouldn't be in until 10. Told him what was going on with the lawnmower and he said it is because I didn't start it, the gas was bad, and that he would have to rebuild the carb again for $80. The guy was really rude this time and insinuated that bad gas is why it's not working. Horrible customer service and really bad attitude. Stay away. read more

I stopped to Pete to have a quote on an oil pan and shaft seal replaced and asked how much do you charge? he didn't answer my question stating that most likely my problem wasn't the gasket , looked for 30 seconds to 60 seconds my mower and pointed to the oil plug telling me this is the issue. I was sure he was not correct and reply I came to your shop to ask how much is to replace a gasket so how much will you charge ? Pete responded $500 to $600 with parts. One rarely finds a business that is TRUE & Honest. However, what this location and Mr. Pete did for me is beyond great service and I wanted to share my experience. I had called several places over a 3 day period and they wanted so much $$ for just an estimate. I took my mower to Pete and instead of having to wait a week (other shops were back logged), Pete fixed it on the spot and even let me come back to pay him after I got the service....AMAZING!!! He could have charged me triple and I would of been happy. He showed me what he did to fix it and gave me free advice. This man is a very rare find. Pete's is an owner operated business which has been amazing. I bought an old snapper riding lawnmower which i knew might need some work eventually and Pete was super knowledgeable having been a dealer before. He skipped all the BS and told me what I needed and didn't need and the options I had. He said some parts may or may not be required, but if it didn't, he'd put it back how it was and wouldn't charge me. I took my pressure washer to Pete's shop on a Wednesday in October (slight delay in posting this review). Pete said he would look it over, gave me an estimate, and said it would be ready on Saturday. Had to take my mower here since it was cutting poorly. I met Pete who, very accommodatingly, stopped what he was doind and took the mower right in and did a quick diagnostic. Pete's Mobile was an absolute "lawn" saver for us. Having just moved to Pearland a year ago, we actually went through a few landscapers before we decided to use the equipment left with house from the previous owners. There was a perfectly good tractor and two lawn mowers, all appearing in new condition, but inoperable. We found Pete's online a month ago and arranged for an appointment. We agreed that he would pick up all the equipment, review and repair. Pete not only arrived precisely on time, but had his office call to keep us informed. He's a lovely gentleman, wouldn't even accept an agreed upon pick up fee right then and there; in a week all the equipment was repaired and back on our doorstep, working perfectly from then on. Pete guarantees his work, gave us some handy tips, answered all our questions about proper care of the equipment and that was that. I brought my lawn mower in at 9. I went to the bank to go get my 25$ cash for the inspection fee (which was later discounted from total price) and he inspected the mower. He told me the issues and said it will be done around 1. I got a call at 10:45 saying it was done. Paid my fee and took it home. Mower worked perfectly. I'm one of those fair weather lawnmower guys. I pay someone to take care of my yard during the hot months, then take the reins when the weather cools. When I went to start my mower this past weekend, nothing happened. After trying a few simple things myself (I'm not mechanically inclined) I gave up and started searching for a local repair shop. In my googling, I stumbled across Pete's. The glowing reviews sounded almost too good to be true, but I called the number anyway. Pete himself answered, and I immediately started to feel more comfortable with the idea of a mobile lawn mower repair service. We agreed on a time, and he took down my information. 30 minutes before the agreed-upon time, Pete called to confirm our appointment and said he'd be there in 20 minutes. He arrived exactly 20 minutes later. Pete was friendly, professional, reasonably priced and fast. He even gave me some tips that, while they meant less future work for him, helped me know what to do to avoid the problem in the future, and how to fix one of the two problems the mower had myself next time. Pete charges $25 to look at your mower and give you an estimate. If you choose not to have Pete fix it, you pay him $25 and you're done. If you choose to have him fix it, the $25 fee is waived. Simple and fair. Pete also offers handyman services. I had him look at something needing attention in my kitchen and he was very low pressure. He told me exactly how I could fix it myself if I wanted to! A few minutes after I paid Pete and said goodbye, I heard a knock on my door. It was Pete. He had come back to tell me I had accidentally written the check for $6 too much. I was floored. I told him not to worry about it, as he had saved me much more money than that with his help. Saw nothing but rave reviews for Pete and his repair service. I explained to Pete that over the past two months the mower would start fine but lose power after about a minute or two. He did a rebuild kit on the carb among other things(new starter cord,sharpen & balance blade). His wife called to notify me that mower was ready for pickup. Total charges were $160 but they discounted me to $130. She said I could pay cash or check. Pete started the mower. It sounded great but I should have let it run a little longer while at the shop. Anyway went inside to pay and started writing a check which seemed to surprise Pete. I explained, his wife stated $130 cash/check. He began to explain to me that cash and a check are not the same and he would have to wait a few days to get the cash in hand if I wrote him a check. First of all I know that cash and a check are not the same and second your wife said cash or check. He said that If I was going to write a check he would now prefer $140. Since I was still getting a discount I said fine and loaded up the mower. Once home started the mower to cut the grass and within 1 MINUTE the mower lost power. I called Pete, the mower just lost power within 1 minute of me using it. He said bring it back. At this time the Holidays were upon me and I was just going to wait until after. In the meantime I was talking to my son about the mower and he wanted to take a look at it at his automotive shop. Why not? He looked it over, broke down the carb which he told me was cleaned but whoever worked on it put the old gasket back on. Son replaced with a new one but mower still would not run for over a minute. A mechanic friend of his said it sounded like a vacuum leak. Sure enough the rubber gasket in the gas cap had dried and cracked. Went to Mason RD Lawn Equip purchased and put on the new gas cap and the mower runs like a charm, $12 bucks. Think I'll go to my son from now on. read more
