The wine tasting menu
Simpreet K.

Beautiful location perched up on top of the hill with expansive views of the valley, the river and the mountains. We happened to visit on a very pleasant weather day, it was actually warm and by the time we left, the wind was picking up but not in a cold, piercing way. The bright yellow umbrellas against the blue sky made for great ambience. The place was busy and there was live music as well. Our hostess was attentive and ensured that the wine tasting went smooth for our group. The owner, Pete did come by a couple times to check on our party. Really nice and humble guy, it reflects in the service. We liked the fact that the wines were mostly from local grapes. The hostess even pointed out vineyards from which the grapes came, they were right by the side of the hill for a couple of the wines. We did get the charcuterie board, I highly recommend it. Definitely, make a reservation! There's good times to be had at Pete's Mountain Winery.

This is a beautiful place with beautiful wines and beautiful people! The view up here is just phenomenal and Mike is such a gracious host. I went with a group and we learned all about the history of this land and how each wine is made. I'm not a huge wine person, mainly because of the bitterness in many wines, but Pete's Mountain pays extra special attention to their tannins which gives each of their wines a deliciously smooth taste. I also really enjoy how comfortable the setting is, it feels like you're right at home. I've been to pretentiously decadent wineries with snobby clubs, but this place is the exact opposite! With such a stunning location and perfectly curated wines, they absolutely have bragging rights but everyone is welcoming and the whole crew seems very down to Earth. If you haven't already, check them out!

To be honest I'm not much of a wine guy. I can dig some reds but don't ask me for recommendations on wine. What I can tell you is that this place was beautiful and the staff was amazing. Very attentive and even as we were leaving they walked out to ask us how are time was. Everyone was satisfied with our wines. I had the Haileys Block that was a barrel aged red blend. I tried everyone's and they were good. The view is amazing. I'm on vacation and don't know where we're looking down on but it was beautiful. They had live music with a girl on the piano. We all all agreed that she had a great voice and sounded great. I would definitely come back again and suggest it to friends.

Went here for my birthday and they gave me a free bottle of rose at the end of my tasting! So shocked by the staff's generosity. Loved the ambience and outdoor patio with live music. Can see the views of Portland from here on a sunny day which is a nice bonus!

First time wine tasting here (first stop of a wine tasting day) and I would have been more than happy spending the whole day here. The Owner (I'm assuming) greeted us right away and was thankful we were there, thanked us for coming, supporting, taking our time to enjoy their wine and land. It was super friendly and made us feel really valued! The view was breath taking They had tables 6+ feet apart and were careful about making sure people could enjoy themselves without being too close. They have rotating wine flight tastings that are $20 a person for 4-5 wines. They give a short description and a good pour for a tasting. Enough to take it slow and enjoy it. If you buy 2 bottles of wine at the end, it covers the cost of the tasting price which is good incentive to buy your faves! We ended up buying two bottles of the Syrah it was that good! The berry, mocha, spice to it is such a unique taste and very fun! Definitely would recommend for a nice day of wine tasting

Wow!!!! Our best Oregon wine tasting experience by far! The combination of the view, the friendly people and great wines immediately turned us into fans! Up on the hill, the property and view was breathtaking. It was a bit cloudy so we didn't get the full Mt Hood effect, so that's a good excuse to go back soon! All of the 5 star reviews I read were spot-on. The people here are so friendly and we immediately felt right at home. Owners Mike and Kristy are great hosts. Our wine tasting was led by Jim, who is funny, knowledgeable and friendly too! When my wife told him we're not fans of Pinot Noir he got excited for the challenge. Which brings us to the cream on top - the wines! Everything we tasted we loved. Pinot Gris, Rose, Chardonnay, Cab and Syrah - we tasted and bought them all to take home. Oh, and Pinot Noir too! My wife loved Kristy's Reserve Pinot Noir so much that my little Pinot hater bought two bottles! We'll be back!

I was at Cannon Beach and was given the gift of the 2018 Haley's Block Pinot Noir. Had never heard of them, being from the city and unaware of micro vintners. But WOW. Smmooooothest Pinot I have enjoyed in a while. What do I know, but I would buy a CASE if I could find it for my next cocktail party in Seattle. Bring it here, friends!

I can't say enough about Petes Mountain vineyard. The wine is quite nice. Good variety of whites and reds. The staff is very attentive and knowledgeable, answering questions and checking in on our group regularly. Will definitely be back!

Mike was the perfect host- welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. The wine was very good- all were well balanced & flavorful. The venue is on my top 10 list. We plan to re-visit this winery several more times this summer. And.. Jimmy and our server were very friendly and helpful too!

Once you arrive, you see the most beautiful views. The property is beautiful and very welcoming. We came about an hour and a half before closing, they had live music and it was pretty packed which is a good sign. Luckily there was a table available and we were greeted by such wonderful people. The table was nicely decorated and really felt warm and comforting. We got the wine tasting and it was truly wonderful. The woman pouring our wine was super insightful and informative. She answered all of our questions and was very friendly. We got the little cheese board - which by the way the cheese was AWESOME. And they had a Pinot noir caramel sauce which was delicious. The live music was also a really nice bonus. It's pretty small and crowded inside, I probably would have sat outside if it wasn't raining. Definitely a must visit if you are in the area. The wine does not disappoint.

Pete's Mountain is AMAZING! My friend came all the way for Las Vegas to visit and we made Pete's a must on our priority list. The wine was so good, the music was relaxing and the view was beautiful. The owner greeted us with a warm welcome as we got out of our cars and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Even with all of the Covid changes it did not take away at all from our experience. I can't wait to come back again and bring more friends and family to enjoy Pete's Mountain Vineyard!

Cheese board and Pinot gris

Where do I even begin...first, we were greeted in the parking lot by the owner. Then, we were quickly checked in and taken to our seat where we were served a delicious wine flight and cheese board while we listened to great music and enjoyed the incredible view. We were checked on multiple times by the owner and others and everyone was so nice and knowledgeable. The attention to detail and service was outstanding. Cannot wait to go again

Covid was a challenger in their intended first opening - but here they are Fall of 2025. Lucky is (locals)! Today I enjoyed a white wine flight, with wines from the Oregon columbia valley, Washington gorge, California Russian River and New Zealand. It's fun to break out - and taste the world! Then I saw they had one of my favorites - Le Ecole Chenin Blanc...so I had to order a chilled glass of that! Unfortunately I came with a full stomach - so didn't order any food. All local artisan sourced...ravioli, Draper family chicken, cheese and crab...but what I'm really looking forward to at my next visit is their (local) Pudding River cheese fondue! With sausage, baguette and apples if you like! Yes please and thank you. I also learned that great cheese pairing, art & wine events are scheduled. So sign up and make your fall and winter rich with great wine, food, new experiences and really great people!

Perhaps selfishly I was trying to keep it a secret to protect my stash access to some of my favorite wines in the region. Only 3 miles away from our home, Twill has been our local favorite winery for over 5 years. A small and intimate venue, every attention to detail has been considered and engineered into their presentation and guest experience. They treat you like a member of the family, caring much more about you than profit. Rare in this world. It has been the location of my daughter's wedding and engagement party. And no doubt more family or professional events if/when we're in need. Molly and Daryl are the most charming and warm "neighbor vintners" we know. No pretentiousness. All passion and commitment to excellence. So let's get to the wine. Our favorites have been the Steelhead Pinot (retired), their 2021 & 2023 Color of Orange and their 2022 Willamette Chardonnay. Add to that - the 2019 Johan Vineyards and Bracken Pinot Noirs.....WOW! And they also recently added fabulous appetizers (we loved the almonds and olives) - you could spend a beautiful satiated afternoon with your favorite people - leaving with rested and glowing happy faces. The world needs more of those. Wouldn't you agree? So make the world better and make Twill your staycation getaway for the day!:)

From a purely aesthetic standpoint, this venue is exceptional. Unfortunately, the experience with the coordination team did not match the quality of the venue. There were several preventable issues that impacted the day. One guest table was completely missing during the reception and had to be requested during cocktail hour. Additionally, when timeline questions arose, the couple were told that the DJ should have been coordinating with the venue. While the DJ was not one of the venue's preferred vendors, we felt that facilitating communication between vendors is a fundamental responsibility of a wedding coordinator, regardless of whether those vendors are on a preferred list. There was also a cultural tradition incorporated into the celebration that had been discussed with and approved by the venue in advance. The tradition created dust on the floors and carpet, and the couple apologized and expressed their willingness to cover any necessary cleaning or repair costs. Rather than approaching the situation collaboratively, they received an email afterward that felt unnecessarily harsh and focused solely on this issue, without acknowledging the coordination challenges they experienced throughout the planning process and on the wedding day. This venue has so much potential because the property itself is truly beautiful. However, I believe the coordinators would benefit from additional training in event management, communication, professionalism, and client service. Weddings are significant milestones, and couples should feel supported, respected, and confident that the details they have entrusted to the venue will be handled with care. If you're considering this venue, I would highly recommend it for its beauty. I would also encourage future couples to ask detailed questions about the coordination services provided and to clearly establish expectations in advance.

I heard about it pretty close to the event and my friends I came with had heard of the winery before. I went in with no real expectations. I get around by cane and am a lot more mobile somedays than others. I cannot recommend this to anyone with mobility issues. I was able to get around a bit but the parking lot is gravel, there is a VERY epic hill one needs to hike up that is also gravel and steep and the grounds are very uneven throughout with rough stairs and such. Where they wanted most people to "sit" to picnic was a hill of gravel. The lawns are uneven. The space is gorgeous but again, this is a nightmare if you have any mobility challenges. I truly appreciate the thought given to everything here and I sincerely feel that they are just doing the wine as a means to fund their gardening and space which makes me clap and scream bravo. The space is gorgeous though i saw some of the website photos and some of the areas I think were better previously - they seem to keep adding gravel and I wish they would go with that old world feel they are trying and even do cobble or stone walks. Anything but gravel. Which brings me to the wine... I chose the rose and that is one of the first bottles of wine I genuinely found uncomfortable to drink. My friends said their Pinot Noir was just as awful. I noticed later that even the label is haphazard. It was shockingly bad and I am not a wine snob in the least. So, with all that... I say that is you want to experience a sort of rustic Spanish villa you stumbled on to definitely drop in. I am sure their tastings are maybe where is at for some but their tasting room has an incredible view of the grounds so that alone is probably worth the gravel trek in and $15.
