I've been coming to Tumwater now since 2023 when I first moved. This place is AMAZING. They are so good to their customers and always have something happening, whether is different classes (paint, jewelry, plants), Thursday night dinners (which are my favorite) or concerts, there is always something for everyone. My girlfriends met me there last Tuesday, and we had the best time! I really enjoy the rule of no pets as I am allergic and even the no kids rule after a certain time I enjoy as well. I love my kids, but sometimes I just want to hang out with my friends w/o any kids around, so bravo Tumwater. The staff seem to love their jobs even when they are running around, and they do run around alot. The manager is super personable and loves what she does and it shows. I've gone here a few times for events, and it's nice. I like how close it is to civilization. I'm not much of a wine drinker so I appreciated that they had beer available and there was no pressure to order wine. My only huge complaint are the wasps. They are everywhere and take away from the experience. I thought the service was fine, and the location is pretty. I feel like overall it's good and a nice place to go drink some wine, but isn't mind blowing. read more

My family visited during a car show on the same property. Ducked inside for drinks and bites waiting for the rain to die out. What a diamond in the rough. It's beautiful inside the business, vaulted ceilings, grand light fixtures and rustic-sophisticated decor make you feel like you're in a bougie country club or castle. The staff we interacted with were fabulous, patient and quite genuine in their friendliness. There's seating inside as well as outside (covered) where flame heated lamps are available. I tried some white wine which was served in a gorgeously premium wine glass unique to the type of wine I was having. We also enjoyed a charcuterie board loaded with tempting high quality nibbles. The menu was impressive with lots of light fare options and fancy looking sweet treats too. Would absolutely return if in the area again. I attended a fundraiser here for the lakeridge high school football team and this was also my first time visiting the winery. It was an absolute beautiful venue. There was great seating inside and outside, the staff was wonderful, delicious catered food, beautiful decorations and wine was delicious. I loved that there was a firepit outside, one large pond out front, areas to walk the property and places to take such great photos. This is a great place to hold parties of any kind and any size. It's located in West Linn and a short drive from Tualatin/Tigard/Portland. Highly recomend. read more

I only came for an event on Fourth of July, from what I saw it looks like a beautiful winery. People brough chairs and set up around a small pond. There ended up being plenty of space for everyone. I didn't get to try any wine, as it was so hot, I opted for the Froze, which was good, but I felt was way overpriced. It was $13, and then the staff wanted a $2 minimum tip, for something that took them 30 seconds to serve. I changed my tip to a $1 and they didn't seem to take kindly to that. Overall, I loved my experience, and would certainly return to try the wines, and a cooler day. read more

We were looking to stop by a winery before leaving Portland and we stopped by Tumwater. It's about 20 minutes south of Portland so it's very convenient if you're coming from the city. They are only open on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays while Saturdays are for members only. There is both indoor and outdoor seating where there are great views of the vineyards. We had their tasting of four wines for $20 which is complimentary if you buy two bottles. After going through the tasting I bought the sauvignon blanc and the syrah which were our two favorites. You can join as a member free of charge which gives perks like free tastings, exclusive wine release parties, and discounts on bottles. This was a beautiful vineyard. The staff was great and seated us right away without a reservation even though they were busy. I wasn't so happy with the limited wines that they had available but they had a few beer choices and that more my style. The other 3 guest that I was with all liked their wine. Went to Tumwater Vineyard tonight and had Chef Tucker's scallops for Thursday Night dinner. They did not disappoint! He's such a talented chef...The wine, food and service is always top notch! Monika, our server, did an amazing job at tending to our table, gave all of us a good picture of what was going to be served and had the best recommendations for wine that paired perfectly with dinner and dessert! The WORST ever... My best friend flew in for a weekend and I selected this winery for a fun afternoon. Unfortunately Tumwater ruined it! We arrived on 2/3/24 with the sun shining and happy to be at such a beautiful location. (It is beautiful.) This was our first visit so we went to the counter where two women were working. They both looked at us but continued talking to each other & did not acknowledge us. - Very weird since we were about two feet in front of them. We waited and after a few awkward moments I asked if we ordered here or what is the process. The employee stated: We come to you so get a table. We aren't serving in the upper back so if you sit there we won't come. (Obviously not word for word but definitely not welcoming.) After seeing several tables available inside, we noticed a table of four leaving the deck area outside. We laughed that the servers were sort of rude but joked our luck had shifted with such a great table! The table we chose was dirty but considering the staff would need to walk by our table regularly I was certain it would be cleared quickly and our fun would continue. Nope! After sitting for 15 minutes and not seeing a server on the deck, we thought maybe we misunderstood where they were serving so I went in to ask. Again they're both behind the counter and although they look at me neither acknowledge me. I point out where we are sitting and ask if we are in the serving area and she confirms: I will be right out. After another ten minutes, she does come out but walks past us and goes to the table behind me. I can hear her adding something additional to their order and before I can say, excuse me, she walks right past us and back inside. After what feels like a very long time, she returns to their table with their wine, I ask while she's passing, Hi can we order? She says, Yes I will be right with you. She then stands chatting with the men behind us, finishes and walks back past us and inside. Ok now we are baffled. We had planned to order two flights, two appetizers, and two bottles of wine. - This was an already discussed plan as a gift to my friend for visiting me. Nope! Instead the server returns, walks to her right, keeps her focus away from our side of the deck. As she passes I said, Excuse me can we order please? She says, Yeah give me a minute. Then my friend realizes we have been here for over thirty minutes! Again, we don't see her for quite some time. When she does come out, she goes to the table behind us and I hear, Well guys it's last call... We realize we have been here for 50 minutes. 50 minutes! As a server, how do you leave two guests sitting at a dirty table of four flights and plates for 50 minutes?? I admit it's odd we stayed this long but the sun was shining and as time passed we were caught in a situation knowing the other wineries will be closed. With so many possibilities in the area, I will never return here. If you wait more than fifteen minutes, I'd suggest you leave. We went to the Willamette Garage and had a wonderful time. read more

I love going to Tumwater on Sundays. The manager is really nice Kevin, he's an asset to this company. Last manager was cranky and wouldn't let us have our dog he treated poorly to say the least. We stopped going in for 8 months till we knew cranky management guy was gone. We live 3 minutes away it's an easy walk. Josh & Nadine are the best servers in Tumwater. You're lucky if you get one of them. They always remember us and help us find seating. Thursday nights they serve wonderful dinners. The chef is fantastic. Mother's Day brunch was 10X better this year. Wish they could add a omelette table. Just saying. Wine is great ambience is beautiful. This place makes me happy. read more

We had our rehearsal dinner at Tumwater! We had the most perfect dinner, the tables and chairs were beautiful with white linens and we were able to be indoor and outdoor. It was lovely and they were able to have the chef prepare a specific menu for us and it was delicious! The wine was amazing of course and everyone had a wonderful time at our rehearsal dinner. We asked for the bacon wrapped dates and they were out of and had been out of it for a while so we ask for another appetizer, artichoke dip and they were also out of that. What a gem near the city! Only about 20 mins from my house, the husband and I received some complimentary tasting tokens. They're only opened on Sundays, so we chose the perfect weekend to come here where you can sit outside. The exterior ground and interior are both gorgeous, upscale and relaxing. The regular pricing for the tasting is $15 which includes 4 in the flight and a glass. Their cheese plate was only $10 and it was very tasty and reasonable! Everything was just perfect. We loved it! What a great way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon. Plenty of parking, friendly staff. We are considering of joining their wine club! read more

I had been to Tumwater a few times for tastings before and always liked it but yesterday I was invited as a guest to my friend's private pick up party and my goodness was I impressed! There were three different pouring stations to receive your "club" flight, live (jazz) music, and catered food including oysters and a soup bar. One of my favorite pourers was Eric, he is knowledgeable about all the wines available and very funny and friendly. The place was packed but my friend and I found a spot outside on some rocking chairs. The owner walked by, introduced himself, and asked if we were having a nice time, which felt so welcoming. The staff and customer service is superb...their wine is also delicious. Finding a really nice winery/tasting room that isn't too far from Portland is hard sometimes but this place is fantastic. Beautiful winery located in the hills of West Linn neighboring the Street of Dreams (a gated community of beautiful high-end homes). Reservations are not required but are recommended and there is lots of indoor and outdoor seating. They have food available for order and a selection of wines for tasting, drinking, and purchase. This place has a creative way of marketing but I'll hand it to them it worked well. They went through and commented on my Instagram page and invited me to their winery. By being invited they waived one tasting fee and then when I bought two bottles it waived the other fee for the two of us tasting. They also offer you a glass of your favorite wine of the four you tasted that day. Not too bad. We went on Sunday, as currently, that is the only day they are open. Nice new location in a higher end neighborhood. They have inside and outside seating and they offer small plates of cheese, crackers, and salamis. I elected to buy two wines and Levi, who indicated he was new to the winery biz asked me to consider their wine club. I may, but right now I have two other ones so that is plenty. All in all a good experience. They were slammed when we went there. I would definitely give them another try. PS Good work on your marketing. Very effective. read more

I really really liked this place a lot. It's very modern and new. Inside was beautiful and open it was pretty crowded when we got there about an hour before closing. The gal that poured our wines for the tasting was super informative and nice. We had a small party and sat by the fireplace but this place would be great for large groups as they had big tables everywhere. The wine was tasty and it was a very comfortable place to enjoy your time. They have super awesome rocking chairs on the patio and a little fire pit. Can't wait to come back! read more
