We stopped in after a tour of Ashland U., & it had been over 10 years since our last visit. We're…read moreso glad we came back! The renovations are phenomenal, and we loved the indoor/outdoor dining and play area. Our active 2-year-old didn't want to leave the mini play barn, which gave the adults time to enjoy the delicious food and treats. Every employee was welcoming & friendly- the entire experience was Gouda-Fun . We'll definitely be back & often! Dick and Vera would be proud to see all the WONDERFUL additions to their barn!

Love this place. Kinda better before COVID cuz the samples were easier to get. You just grabbed a…read moresample from the cups. Germ central. I get it. Now you have to ask. But the workers are nice about it. So it's fine. First floor you can order food and then eat it outside or in the patio area. Hot dogs are good. You can also get ice cream and sides like onion rings. All prices are pretty average for a cafe. The other part of the first floor are savory snacks and soups, jerky, dips, pretzels, popcorn, crackers, jelly's, teas and such. You can try it all. Prices are about mediocre. Not cheap but not outrageous. Upstairs are all the cheeses, dressing, sausages, jarred condiments. Again you can get a taste of most anything. Cheeses are from all over the world and all types spicy, sharp, dill, bacon, champagne, almost anything you can think of. Prices are more expensive than Giant Eagle, Trader Joe's, Aldi's and most stores. But the combination of cheese flavors are pretty unique. Something you can't just get at those other stores. And think of it as a treat. You're not going to buy that cheese every week. So a treat is nice. Overall it is a fun experience for the whole family. We didn't go to the chocolate Sweeties side. But I am sure that is amazing too. You can eat at the cafe, buy some snacks, treats and cheese. It's fun and you don't do this every day. At least that's how I look at it. $50 dollars later. LOL! I did buy some treats as gifts too. So that is another option to consider.
