Such a cute cafe with outdoor seating. Even the coffee mug was adorable. I'm not a big fan of cuban cafe Con leche, so I didn't enjoy it much. Can't go wrong with your traditional tostada (Cuban bread toasted with butter). The pan con tortilla sandwich was delicious. We also had the pan con bistec (steak sandwich), which was served on a round roll (a long roll would have given it more justice) but it was decent. Would go again. :) read more

Cute little coffee shop. Almost every location has its Cuban twist, the one on Bergenline is one of the cutest locations thus far! As far as the coffee, it hits every single time. From the iced coffee to the cappuccino and of course the cafe con leche DELISH every time. I almost can never leave without getting a guava and cheese empanada, I would say this does vary from place to place. The north bergen location has to have the best empanadas out of all of them. Service at both locations is amazing, the staff is always friendly and so sweet. Cannot go in any one of them without a smile. So, if you do have to try one of the locations, deff recommend the one located on the Bergenline! read more

Nothing will ever replace or be better than my grandfather's bakery but Cortaditos comes close. I crave their little cheese pastries which my grandfather introduced to the area back in the 70's. He didn't invented the croissant style pastry but no one baked and served them until years after he started. You still can't get excellent Cuban bread in the area since we sold the Bakery. But at least in this jeck of the woods this place is as close to Cuba as I can get. read more

They have a large selection of iced & hot coffees; their espressos and cappuccinos are always done perfectly! They also serve teas, Mojito Limonadas (which are delicious), pastries, and classic sandwiches (their Vegano Cubano and Cubano Clasico are my favorite). The staff are always wonderful and the decor provides a sense of comfort and sophistication. The cortaditos still great tho I feel like almost double the price and somehow feels lesser in quantity. It's great they upgraded the place but the prices , I was here before for the quality and price. I didn't think the upgrade should've caused the prices to increase close to 50%. Cortaditos has a lot of good and delicious food and amazing coffee but what also makes them different in my view, is that when they say "Esta es tu casa" is not a marketing strategy. The staff at every location I've visited goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and give you great service. North Bergen is my preferred location because it's the one nearest to me. Since my second visit, they remembered my name but I've had great experiences in Union City and American Dream as well. I highly recommend them for their service and for their food. read more

My fiancée and I enjoy coming here, we usually get the Cuban sandwich or the Midnight Cuban sandwich. The mustard is a good touch to the sandwiches, don't forget to use some of their hot sauce on the tables! We also like their Cortadito Con Leche, it's espresso with steamed milk and condensed milk, and it's just the right amount of sweetness with bitterness. Would recommend that! If I could give zero stars I would. Staff are rude and seem bothered when they serve you. We ordered two chicken empanadas we got one chicken one veggie both were cold dry and disgusting. We also ordered two double shot Cortadito Mulato's both taste like reg coffee with milk. So basically it was a waste of money and a horrible experience dealing with rude staff. The cheese & guava empanadas were not as good-- slightly chewy (instead of crispy and light), perhaps they weren't fresh, and the cream cheese was too much. A big, awkward clump of it. Eh, I'll skip this next time. But the iced coffee was strong as you expect of a Cuban coffee and hit the spot, perking me right up. Well your probably wondering how I discovered this Cuban gem. I've been driving by this spot for several years and have always wondered hmmm I wonder if there any good. Well my coworkers and I ordered lunch from here and I have never stopped eating at this quaint spot. It's like the "Starbucks" of all Cuban cafes lol.. There empanadas are to die for especially the "ropa vieja";it will literally melt in your mouth. The chicken empanadas are full of flavor. Okay you will pay a few cents more for their empanadas but they are totally worth it. Then they have pastries made fresh on the premises... Also, I enjoy drinking their coffee especially the "Bon Bon", it will give you a burst of Energy. It's an espresso with sweet cream just in case your wondering. Please don't waste your time ordering from here. So here's how my experience went. I ordered from UberEats. And I ordered 2 flan, 1 Cortaditos de Nutella, and a tres leche. So I receive my desserts from the driver, and when I get in the house and opened the stapled paper bag, I see that I only received my two flans. By this time, my husband and I start to ponder if maybe the driver forgot a bag in his car.... so I get on my Uber eats app and it lets me reorder my missing items at no cost and while We're waiting, I start to eat my flan. Now for anyone who has had flan as much as I have in my life, this flan was excessively sweet and it was old. I could also tell that whoever bakes their flan doesn't know how to make it. When you cut into a flan it's supposed to look like butter. It supposed to be a smooth cut. Well my flan was the epitome of what a flan isn't. So my next order arrives and Ofcourse yet again I was missing something. I was missing the Nutella thing. Now I'm like wtf. Ofcourse Uber tells me they'll contact me in 24 hours and the business wasn't accepting orders anymore by the time that I received the second order. So basically after 7:30 they don't take anymore orders through Uber eats. This was my first time ordering and it'll be my last. Save yourself the annoyance. Ps i forgot to mention that while I was waiting for my second order, it was taking excessively long for prepared desserts. So I took it upon myself to call the store directly and asked why it was taking Long for my order and the girl tells me that the order has been picked up. Everything is overpriced but I am willing to pay for a good product. Unfortunately I will not be going back as I am so disgusted how staff make you feel like they are doing you a favor. First of all, slow as molasses. Secondly their personal conversations are more important than the customers. Thirdly some staff will not even attempt to speak English to customers that do not speak Spanish. I just ordered a Mamey milkshake. Ok. The Mamey tub was empty and they had to refill it. I get it. Instead of taking the mamey required for my shake and then go continue filling the tub, I had to watch as the employee was chitchatting with other employees while filling the tub as if no one was waiting. When I suggested they do my shake and then continue they were like "but she's filling the tub" while all the other employees look on. These places are a dime a dozen around northern Hudson County. My review is based on ordering delivery through Uber eats, I have yet to come in person, but either way- amazing! I am so happy to have found this place through Uber eats. We order at least twice a month now, for the last 6 months or so. It's usually our Sunday "brunch" time go to. I have never been disappointed! My favorite is their croqueta preparada sandwich, consistently delicious. They have the standard items you would expect from a Cuban bakery, and more! I also always get my two year old a fresh squeezed orange juice, which is always just that- fresh! Empanadas are good as well, however I have only tried the cheese and ropa vieja varieties. The delivery is always fast and reliable, and drinks arrive separately packed which is nice to avoid spills, etc. I highly recommend ordering here if you are in the mood for Cuban style sandwiches, sweets or coffees. I had the pan con bistec along with frozen café con leche. Both items were delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked for a sandwich and was lightly salted to perfection, the onions weren't undercooked making them a great compliment to the steak, and the bread . I did make the mistake of adding Cheese to this sandwich so next time I will do without. This doesn't take away from my rating because that was my choice to add the cheese. The frozen café con leche was the perfect consistency for a frozen drink. It was a perfect balance of coffee flavor and milk. Went to NJ for 6 days, and went to this place 3 days in a row! And I'm glad I came too. Tried the Cuban sandwich, loved it. Tried the espresso, loved it. Tried the pastries, and loved those so much we came back on the last day of our trip to buy $80 worth of goods to bring back to DC. The service is also top notch. They also ran out of 2 of the 3 menu items I ordered and told me it would take another hour to fulfill the rest of the order. Mind you I traveled 30 minutes to get here in bergenline traffic.
