I highly recommend Petland to get a puppy. I've always been very hesitant to get a puppy from a pet store but Petland is exceptional. They told me they check out all their breeders and make sure the puppies are well taken care of. I believe it. I've never seen such a happy, well adjusted puppy that already knows to go potty outside, loves her crate and loves people. Amazing!!

Hannah was knowledgeable and awesome! The ladies here were all very nice! Our puppy is the sweetest and smartest. The prices are high but not as high as some other locations. Please read my review of Petland Naperville for more background!

Sofie on her way to her forever home

PetLand in Bativia Illinois ~ I purchased an 11wks female Goldendoodle (on 08/26/2023 end of day. When I was driving home there was green mucus discharging from her nose. I didn't think anything of it because I just thought it was from the bath they had just given her. I spent the night with her coughing, sneezing and mucus out of her nose. she had no appetite nor was very active I puppies sleep but she sure slept. I called the following day Paw Solutions because I could not get one of their "four day clinic" required to see her right away they told me I would have to wait till Monday I called early morning and out of the five locations only one was able to see her today. Carriage Animal Hospital (5 star). Luckily I took Sofia Louise, she wouldn't had chance (10% survival) because she had pneumonia the Doctor took X-ray and we're able to give her a treatment also given her prescribe antibiotics for 28 days with a follow up in two weeks. I am want to say I am truly upset, disappointed in total disbelief with PetLand, Bativia IL "compassion" I am a "repeat customer" I have another five-year-old male Golden-doodle as well and their sense of concern was she's covered under 21 day warranty. they act you just brought a used TV ~ I also paid $3900 for her so I expect a perfect family pet when I walked out of there and that's not what I came out with. They had to know she was ill and yet still sold her for the profit they would be making. I have videos of her throughout the night coughing, sneezing following day the same thing I'm disappointed that they feel like they don't owe my family any repercussion/compensation for selling me a pet I most likely believe that they knew was il. So my thought for those of you purchasing a pet and thinking of going to PetLand Bativia, IL think about it again the compassion that they have for dogs "as they say they do" is actually BS! If I can contact the breeder and speak for myself, Bryan and Brenda Unger Paula Unger of #baronforkbullies I would let them know that I do and maybe others too would have compassion for my baby girl Sofie Louise, who's on her road to recovery thank you Dr Buishas @Carriage Animal Hospital looking at her pictures she's where she belongs lots of loving here! cannot upload the videos where you can hear her cough.

Their vet said he was neutered and so did they. Bad vet!

We purchased our Doxie from here a couple of months ago and they stated he had been neutered. Well his balls dropped last week and instead of them just taking care of this, we have to prove he wasn't neutered. How about a photograph of my dog's tiny doxie balls? Will that be enough proof? Nope. We have to take him to our vet and have our vet certify that he wasn't neutered as well. Well clearly, there are balls there so.....yeah. Your proof is that he still has balls. That should have been enough. So we do that anyways, and NOW we have to take our dog to one of their vets (one of their vets who certified he WAS ALREADY NEUTERED) to get the procedure done. You know, mistakes happen. And on top of this they charged me double as well so we had to get that straightened out. But this is stupid. Really, just time-wasting and annoyingly stupid. I bought the dog under the premise he had already had this done, and he hadn't. OBVIOUSLY. BECAUSE YOU CAN SEE HIS LITTLE DOXIE BALLS. So just make it right, would you? Without us having to use a strange vet that we and our dog doesn't know and that is 20+ miles away? That said -- the dog is amazing. Yes, I am well aware I should adopt. But we just connected with this one. And his balls.

He had to have fluids because of the vomiting and diarrhea from coccidia and giardia. He was infected when I bought him.

Maybe being more kinder and letting people be with puppies until the next 10 minutes before they close they can pack up.

Sure, there are sporadic complaints, but you get that with any product. Sure, it may not be chock full of healthy ingredients, but very few cat treats are. As I figured, she put unfounded seeds of fear and anxiety into me for absolutely no reason that I can find, other than a few random Reddit posts and the flea and tick thing. Maybe she has a personal issue with Hartz products? If that's the case, perhaps she shouldn't be employed by someone who sells them. For the love of God, how many pet stores do you know that have cashiers telling you that the products you purchase are going to kill your pet? Especially AFTER they've rung them all up? Someone needs some new training. Original review: After ringing up my order that included 12 items made by Hartz, the cashier informs me in the most infuriatingly casual tone that it contains ingredients that have been found to caused cancer in cats. So I asked her if I should not be buying the stuff and she was said in the same annoying tone that I should look it up. So now I'm like well now that you've planted the seed in my head that I am knowingly killing my cat by buying this stuff, I would like to return it, but there is a line of five people behind me and no other checkout open. So yeah, don't buy Hartz/Delectables I guess according to this cashier, who had the worst personality ever by the way, she seemed annoyed that I had the nerve to get in line and interrupt her discussion of gravel with a woman in front of me. And frankly, if there is an ounce of truth to her warning (because I haven't gotten to look it up yet) maybe you shouldn't be selling this company's products or maybe you should tell your cashiers to warn people BEFORE they ring up the product. I'll be sticking to the Mount Prospect location from here on out.

I ordered a bag of Merrick dog food in Jan-2023 that was expired and infested with bugs. I received a refund, which obviously is the absolute bare minimum that should be considered from a customer service perspective for a bag full of infested bugs. I was still left with the problem of going back out to purchase another bag from a physical location since I had to feed my dogs, so my expectation was to receive a heavily discounted/complimentary bag for the inconvenience. That doesn't sound unreasonable to me, and that small gesture would retain me as a repeat customer for years to come. The store manager finally offered a 10% discount, which is better than nothing, however I was disappointed at how it was handled and how she would not even look me in the eyes to communicate. I have reached out to corporate to see what can be done, if anything and will provide updates in the near future on the outcome. Many thanks to the cashier, Sarah for her assistance. The manager, in my opinion, could use additional training and improve on some basic soft skills in interacting with customers. Best, Charlie

The care and concern that Angel and Wyatt took to ensure our pups well being was highly appreciated. I usually prefer local grooming businesses to corporate - and while I maintain that for all other needs - I will definitely trust Angel and Wyatt with our dog again. Additionally the Vetco care on the day we brought him in for an updated shot was great too. Thank you. The overall staff at this location seems great, knowledgeable, professional . A tribute that THEY make the business and corporate should ensure they get the respect, pay, benefits and appreciation they warrant. Mambe is appreciative too.
