Ashlee is a Godsend! I had been taking my mini Aussie to another local groomer but they sadly didn't survive the pandemic. I had been looking for a new groomer and was impressed by the reviews for Grooming Zoomies. I wanted to support local business owners and I am SO happy I called Ashlee on a whim! I am a teacher on spring break so I was hoping for an appointment opening pretty quickly, but as to be expected, she didn't have an opening for a few weeks. I snagged that appointment but asked to be put on a cancellation list. As luck would have it, I got a call just a few hours later that they had a cancellation that day! I was so thrilled! I'd assume that if you're reading reviews for groomers on Yelp, you really do your research before leaving your beloved little schmoop in the care of strangers--Look no further than Ashlee. I kind of want to gate-keep her only because I (selfishly) don't want it to become impossible to get my pup in to see her, but she is too too good not to share! She took her time with me before leaving Latti and asked so many questions to make sure she was loved and safe while in her care. She is smart about only taking on one pup at a time so she can really devote her attention to one at a time and it was noticed and appreciated. She was upfront about cost, talked through exactly what I wanted, she was thorough in her explanation of what she can do vs. what is standard for her breed. When I picked Latti up, she shared that she had documented the experience and asked if she could post Latti (DUH, she's a model ) and I was so impressed with how she made it such an enjoyable experience for the pup and not at all scary or traumatizing. She mentioned that my pup did NOT like the nail filing and she was instantly not a fan of the noise or vibration so Ashlee did not force it. It was important to Ashlee that Latti was comfortable and wanted to come back here without being scared--so she clipped the nails instead and made sure to explain why she cut instead of filed AND didn't charge me for a service she didn't do- she was honest and made sure to explain why. Latti looked like a million bucks AND Ashlee spent extra time with me after her appointment to go over a few tricks I can be doing with her at home so that she isn't so scared of the nail filing next time. I just know that many dog owners have had negative experience with groomers and when your pup is like your child, you want to be extra sure they are in the best hands when you're away. I truly could not recommend Grooming Zoomies more and will her sending all my friends and family. Ashlee has been grooming for 13 years (I think that's what she told me!) but just purchased this business (previously Glendale Groomers) and is hopefully here to stay in our area for a long, long time! I've definitely found my groomer and hope she becomes yours, too! read more

I am a first time dog owner and my 5 month old puppy became too difficult to bathe at home so I decided to bring him here. Little did I know that he would unleash hell upon the poor staff here but they handled him and I with grace and kindness despite what a disaster he was. I'm eternally grateful as they brought it to my attention that this behavior is not normal for a puppy of his age. We're now working with our vet to address the issue. Had I not come here and gotten their expertise, we would've continued on and not known to get him help. I don't know if my dog will ever be able to come back here given his issues (and frankly, they probably never want to see him again and that's understandable!) but I wish he could because the staff and facility are great. They make sure to stagger pets coming and going to ensure safety. They barely got through a bath (not their fault!) but his coat is soft and shiny - it's probably the cleanest he's ever been. I had been in the hospital the last two weeks from an unexpected heart attack and our dogs grooming appointment had gotten missed by another groomer as a result. The owner did some "emergency grooming" for our baby and trimmed her nails and hair enough to get her until a regular appointment. We can't get over how kind and accommodating this was! After 8 years, I never trusted that my girls would be comfortable getting groomed. They had a bad experience once, and I was told they were very frightened and hard to work with, and I never thought twice about taking them again, so I did my best at home. Today, I decided to try out grooming zoomies with Ashlee. When I say I was in complete shock, it's an understatement. My girls were so calm and trusting. I stuck around just in case, and the place was so open and inviting. I was able to see that Ashlee was gentle and compassionate with their needs. Fifi is very scared of loud noises, and Ashlee tried her best to make her comfortable while being blow dried. When she could see how uncomfortable fifi was, she let her sit in a fanning station to dry off without the loud noises. Now, fifi was in heaven! I can go on and on about how the things that were difficult for me to do with these two: trim nails, face, paws, etc. Ashlee didn't have any issues because she was warm and compassionate, and I know my dogs fed off her energy. The cherry on top of the treatment my dogs received the washing products left my girls smelling so clean, and it wasn't a strong overwhelming smell like a big brand groomers. It was subtle and somehow smelled REAL. If I could give this place and groomer all the stars in the world, I would! Definitely go here; you won't regret it! read more

Ashlee has been Gibson's dog groomer for 12 years now. If you want a super great groom for your pup she is amazing. My Gibson is a blue heeler with a double coat and she makes it super easy to keep the shedding down at home. Plus he always smells like cookies when he is done. Love this place!!! I did my due diligence before picking another groomer after our previous one closed down and was having a hard time finding one without more than a few negative reviews. Ashley is AMAZING! She's one of those people that as soon as you meet her you feel like you've known her forever which is awesome and the best thing about her is her genuine love and passion for dogs. Just today I had a grooming appointment set but called to tell her I might need to cancel because my dog was bleeding from a possible nail injury... she told me to bring him in still to take a look at it which I did. She trimmed his nails and put on this powder to stop the bleeding free of charge and gave advice on how to treat it going forward. We have been taking our three dogs to this grooming salon since we moved to the area 5 years ago. This is a small, independently owned grooming salon. From the moment you first walk in - you are greeted with cheer and you can tell how much everyone working here loves dogs. Since the very first visit they remembered our dogs names and know which is which. It is much more personal service than at Petsmart or Petco. The dogs always come home squeaky clean and with a festive bandana around their neck. One of our dogs gets a puppy cut every time and she looks just adorable with the freshly trimmed hair. They use very good quality products. I am allergic to many chemicals but I have never had any reactions to the products used on my dogs here. (I have gotten severe rashes from Petco products). I have taken my Bichon/ Lhasa Apso here 2 times. They have been great. She comes out looking perfect (literally). Even with the "extras" they sell me (whitening face wash $10) i still come out paying less than other places including my tip! Easy to get an appointment and the selection of products to buy are nice as well. You can't leave your pet there all day if you drop them off to get groomed in the morning. They do want you to pick the pet up when s/he is done. I don't mind though because thy hair cut is wonderful. I'm not a haircut expert by any means... all i know is when she is cut she looks great. She doesn't look shaved down or anything just nicly trimmed. I have reccomended them to other neighbors. read more

I recently moved and was looking for a groomer nearby. I dropped off my Lhasa apso/bichon pup for a grooming and very specifically said "please do not shave the ears. We like her ears and tail a little fluffier otherwise she looks weird". My fiancé went to pick her up and when I got home her ears were shaved and her snoot looks oddly cut. I won a gift certificate at a auction for Glendale Grooming so I took my golden retriever there. They were very welcoming to both me and my pet. They gave her so much love & attention. They showed genuine concern for what services I wanted. I did not want her cut (like many golden owners do). i only wanted her paws trimmed. They listened to instructions regarding trim, dental cleaning and nail cutting. While I felt a bit of pressure to 'upgrade' to the nice smelling shampoos, I said no. My bill for full bath, brush, dental brushing, ear cleaning, paw trim was $61. I felt it was pricey but for 2+ hours of service, I guess it's a good deal! The lovely ladies here squeezed us in for an emergency appointment on a busy day and still managed to get the pups bathed and cleaned lightning quick.
