Ella and Bonnie both were amazing to work with they help us picked out our fur baby to give him his forever home.. they were able to supply the mom and dad history and the family history. I can honestly say this is not a puppy mill .. This is a legit puppy place that helps you get your forever for a baby. This place is amazing. The people are wonderful. This company sells sick dogs and provides no veterinary care for them. I'm certain that any positive reviews were posted by people affiliated with this business. If your purchased dog is found to be sick you can return it, they will refund your money, they then take the dog, and return it to the breeder for credit just like if you returned an item to Home Depot. I can only imagine what the breeder does with the puppy. THIS IS A REVIEW FROM A FORMER PETLAND EMPLOYEE:vettechmnm OP * 5y ago At the Petland store I worked at the isolation room in the back was always full and I wondered why (before I learned the truth), considering those puppies each had price tags off $2000-6000, they weren't receiving veterinary care because they were so sick, and then I found out that they only paid $50-200 a piece for them and it would cost more to treat them than what they cost so it was more economically feasible to let them die so they could trade them in for credit towards other puppies from the breeder. We used to put a small towel in the puppy boxes where they housed the ones that were for sale and a few toys for the puppies to play with. I was reprimanded for giving the puppies in isolation a towel to lay on and toys to play with. The owner told me that he didn't want the sick puppies to have those items because he didn't want them getting overly excited and delaying their recovery (the puppies played with the towels as much as they did with the toys). I thought to myself, "this guy must be a complete moron if he really thinks that sick puppies who are lonely, depressed, bored, and uncomfortable could possibly recover faster or better than puppies who were psychologically well and comfortable while they recovered." It did not take long for me to realize that he wasn't concerned about interfering with their speedy recovery at all. Those dogs did not receive medical care so how could they ever recover from their illnesses? He didn't want them to have those items because he wanted then to be uncomfortable, with nothing to lay on but a grate, and he wanted them to be bored and depressed because he wanted to hasten their death so that he could send them back to the breeder for credit towards other puppies that were less sickly and he could make money by selling them. The puppies in isolation were just taking up space and resources he did not think they were worth and he just wanted them gone. I was also reprimanded for doing a fecal exam because I suspected there was a parvo outbreak because so many puppies had bloody diarrhea. They don't want to know if there is parvo, campylobacter, or any other contamination there because they don't want it to interfere with their puppy sales so there did not approve of my efforts to determine what was wrong with them. I was basically reprimanded for thinking like a veterinary technician rather than a Petland employee... I recently learned that the Orlando Petland was seeking puppies infected with coronavirus near the end of 2019. I worry about the dogs people bring there to meet the puppy before people buy them... They are risking their health and possibly their lives by taking them there. Petland is a corrupt, twisted, and evil organization and they are all the same. The corruption starts at the top, the Petland Corporation, and trickles down from there to every Petland franchise in operation. They don't care about their animals. They don't care about their customers. And they don't care about their employees. The only thing they care about is MONEY, and nothing else. People need to do their research, educate and inform themselves, learn the truth and stop enabling Petland to continue doing this by spending their money in that hell on earth called Petland. read more

When I went in they had a dozen or so puppies. They are what I would call the equivalent of a "luxury" car dealership, like Acura, Cadillac, or Lexus. They like to have reservations when you come in to see the animals, but if you don't, they will still see you. They have a long presentation about their history, and how they only sell the best, or the best animals from the top 1% of the breeders in the country. Part of their schpeal is that you shouldn't buy a pet from anywhere else because you don't know what you are getting, and other places sell puppies that are too old. They advise against going to a kennel, shelter, or private seller saying the animals might not be adjusted to people, will bite, or attack you, have PTSD, etc. I am not going to say that there is not some truth to that, but they were degrading them all as if they were all super dangerous. They will also tell you that if you pay cash you will get a 25% discount. The salesman stated that the most expensive puppy they sold was about $12,000. That is a down payment on a house, a small car, college tuition, etc. They will also attempt to sell you a lifetime warranty plan saying if you buy their pet food from them, you will get a lifetime warranty as long as you feed them Petland dog food. But since they are a luxury car dealership, some people want show dogs for bragging on how much they paid for it. But an Acura is still a Honda, a Cadillac is still a GMC/Chevy, a Lexus is still a Toyota. A puppy is still a puppy to a kid. They are persistent but aren't most people that are trying to sell you something that way? Over the phone, they act like telemarketers hired to sell puppies because that is how they sound the many times they call trying to suck you in to setting up an appointment. I finally went in and they never told me the price over the phone which is smart on their behalf. You get a lot of package information with a puppy purchase. You also get weekly emails to help with dog training. You can return your puppy if you take home & something is wrong. This place is not for people that are not trying to pay $$$$ for a puppy that's why you see so many types of breeds on display. All of them were beautiful and you get to interact with the puppy you are interested in. The salesperson comes over and invades into your quiet time trying to do what most salesperson do. I would recommend this business because theirs nothing wrong with what I saw. I know a lot of people that sell dogs for thousands of dollars so either you want to buy a very expensive puppy or not this doesn't make petland a bad place. I agree totally with one reviewer like a luxury dealership. Also, the puppy was not sick but I have known breeders to sale a sick puppy. At least Petland allows you to return the puppy. They sell on-site puppy items like collars and Orijen brand puppy foods. read more

She had blonde hair and eyelashes. was very rude that I was 17 and that I couldn't look at the puppies even though two weeks prior to this time I went in with my friend and she had no problem, letting us see the dog. and I know about the rule were you have to be 18 and I have some friends saying sometimes they're strict on it and sometimes they're not but I just think it's really weird and that the employees need to be trained better. read more

I got my Mini Goldendoodle from Petland Raleigh and I wouldn't have gone anywhere else for him! They were friendly, attentive to me and the pets in the back and didn't make me feel like rushed to make a decision. The store was clean and they offer a lot of the supplies you'd need to help your puppy!
