Iv been working at Petlover Central for over two years and I bring my fur- baby ginger with me everyday. When I ask her if she wants to come to work with me in the morning she jumps off my bed and waits by the front door until we leave! We boarded our dog here a few times when we went to visit family back in New York. Our dog is a year and a half old lab with lots of energy but he is the biggest cuddler ever. The first few times he went was great! Our dog loves to play with other dogs and can play hard. If he is tired and keeps getting bothered he does have an attitude but is not aggressive at all. I was watching the cameras and checked a couple times within the span of two hours, and noticed our dog wasn't in any of the rooms. When I called, the ladies said that they were giving him breaks since he seemed over stimulated. The ladies in the lobby were very patient with our boy and with me as well. I appreciate them working with him and keeping us updated. This last time we brought him for a long weekend and picked him up earlier when the lobby was closed. We were grateful they let us get him early but when I said which dog was mine, the response seemed negative which really bothered me. They are a patient facility but I did feel like once they were "annoyed" or "bothered" by our dog or maybe us checking on him, certain staff members treated us different. I do enjoy being able to see my dog on the camera but I don't like how dogs are able to just go pee on the floors in there. I wish there was an outdoor area for the dogs to go to the bathroom as my dog smells like pee every time we pick him up. Overall, I would recommend this place to people I know. Our dog is always exhausted when he comes home and seems excited when we bring him there. read more

I called to get information on their daycare. As soon as I spit the words out that I had an American pitbull terrier they responded with, "sorry we do not accept that breed here". She proceeded to explain to me that they don't have the "space" they needed and what not. Fair and should have been left at that. I had mentioned my current daycare reccomended them to me so it was strange they didn't know that. When she answered she explained that it wasn't that they didn't not love "sheppys" and "pittys" and "pinches" (referring to all aggressive breeds) but when other dogs bang into them they all get mad. She could have just left it at they didn't have the space but instead she full on discriminated all of these breeds, when realistically I'm pretty sure ANY dog or breed or even a human might be annoyed if you slammed into them. Just thought I'd share this with those who have "aggressive breeds" and who's Dogs have only been guilty of being a complete mush and cuddle buddy. If your dog loves going there I am happy for you and do believe all dogs are and should be social. But doggy daycare places should help eliminate the stigma, educate themselves and not discriminate unless that specific dog had wronged them. Blame the owners not the innocent dogs people! read more

I have had all great experiences at PLC except one, but I feel the one bad one should be shared, so other pet owners are in the know. I have a happy, friendly, playful 1 year old 11lb dog that would play with a stick if you let him, so I thought PLC was the perfect place for him. Usually when I'd pick him up he would run to me then sniff around the lobby or say hello to another dog, this time he jumped into my arms shaking. I didn't think much of it at the time to say something, but he shook the whole ride home, and would not let go of me even once we got into our house.. the next five days he refused to eat, would hide under my bed & was just overall upset. The next day I called to see if maybe something happened, not mad, just trying to figure out why my dog was acting so strange, they said nothing had happened but maybe them taking birthday photos of him (per my request) startled him. I knew that couldn't be it as I dress him up all the time. When I called back later in the day asking to speak to the manager or owner, not only was whoever I talked to rude, but overall condescending. Then they stopped answering my calls all together. That is when I knew something must have happened that they wanted swept under the rug. It is really a shame that my dog had a bad experience here, because he always loved it before & came home happy and tired. Now I am not 100% sure his reaction was from PLC, all I can do is assume since nothing else makes much sense. I write this not to discourage others from sending their dogs to PLC, but just so people are wary. PS their video camera system is awesome- but could use updating read more

I took my 6 mo. old puppy for daycare and knowing he was not neutered they still accepted him ... After I purchased a package they decided to tell me he wasn t allowed to be there because he wasn t neutered and off course ended up keeping the money telling me theres no refund on packages ... This is a very deceptive way of doing business and I wont be back. read more

Absolutely love PetLover Central for Finn, an 11 month super-active Aussie-doodle and Rain, 4 year old g-doodle. For Finn, it has helped him immensely to become more socialized, better behaved, and tired. Rain is a more people person and they recognized this immediately. We leave them for day care knowing that they are in great hands. It also helps that they can trim their nails when they are there. We just feel that they really have a great handle on their personalities, as well as the other dogs that make up the pack that day. Would also add that they called me one afternoon while Finn was there, telling me that he was just off that day. Later they called to let me know that he threw up but started to play again, I offered to pick him up and they said they would keep an eye on him but he seemed better. When we picked him up he was fine, but we so appreciated their attentiveness. If you haven't tried PetLover Central, give them a try, you won't be disappointed. read more

petlover central would not accept my dog for a few hours of day care after 12 noon. They say that after 12 they cannot add any other dogs due to the fact that the pack was already "solidified" and then continued to tell me my dog was not a good puppy and shouldent be brought back. Which my dog LOVES everyone and everything and would want nothing more but to play with other dogs. I would never recommend this service to ANYONE! read more

My dog Oliver has been going to PLC for 10 years regularly-and this is the only place I would ever take my baby! John, Tory, Steve, MaryRose and the rest of the PLC pack take care of him like he's their own. Oliver even has some odd allergy issues, but the staff here is always right on top of it, and even know to give him breaks when he needs it. I know he's always well taken care of, and have no doubt that all of the pets in their care will always have tons of fun in a very safe environment. I took my 2 poodles to Perlover Central, Federal Highway, Boca Raton Fl. to be groomed. After returning home I realized one of my dogs had a bad laceration on her face hidden by her ear. I treated it with Neosporin. It became so badly infected i needed to take her to the vet at a cost of $75 for an antibiotic shot.. I went back to show them what happened and they wouldn't even look at it. They were rude and nasty. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I took My puppy To Petlover Central for his First Grooming appointment since he left his Breeders two months ago. The Breeder took sum great pictures of the the puppy after they gave him a bath a trimmed him up. I thought this would be a great time to take sum Holiday pictures with the family and our new puppy. When I arrived the Petlover Central the groomer was there and said my puppy had sum mats in his paws and that he may have to be shaved all the way down. I said let me take him home and brush him because he walks in the wet grass and gets matted up a little and I need to take pictures with the family with him. She said she would try and see what she could do. Three hours latter I payed my 45.00 dollars and picked a DAMAGED PUPPY. He was shaved down to the raw skin, he private area was bleeding she clipped his ear and that was bleeding, his botton area was so RED that I had to put corn starch all over that area to sooth the pain. I went to the pet store and got a nice soft Blanket to put over his favorite chair so he can be comfortable and absorb the blood, even with all that he didn't sleep all night tossing and turning. The WORST GROOMING EXPERIENCE I have ever seen in all the different dogs and breeds I have had. BE CAREFUL there are a lot of BETTER groomers out there and my search is on. read more

If you love your dog and are totally neurotic about making sure he or she is safe, well-cared for, and having a great time, this is the place! My dog Diesel loves it there and everyone is kind, professional and knowledgeable. There is a web cam where you can watch during the day if your dog is in day care, and I watch it all the time. The dogs are having a great time and the staff observes to make sure that everyone is getting along. I like that they have a temperament test first to make sure that the dogs are not aggressive toward others. The facility is clean and the playroom is large, with a limited number of dogs so that it isn't overcrowded. Big dogs and small dogs have separate play areas so that the little guys don't get hurt. The staff is trained in pet first aid procedures, so just in case anything would ever happen, I feel that they can handle it until they reach me. This is a wonderful place. read more

I have been taking my dog Bentley there since he was 4 months old & he absolutely loves going there. He gets so excited on the mornings he goes to school :) I also get him groomed there and they always do a great job. I have boarded him there as well. I have complete trust in PLC. They post cute pics daily on Facebook which is nice and even have cameras so you can watch your pup play. The staff is really amazing and you can tell they really love animals. Pet Lover Central came highly recommended to me a couple of years ago and I can see why. My poodle loves it. She spends lots of fun time at the doggie day camp and has made her friends. I also get her groomed there and I couldn't be happier. I love the webcam. You can see your dog whenever you like. They also take daily snapshots of your pet. Can't ask for more than that. I know when I leave her there I can relax and know she is in the care of professionals who give my dog lots of TLC. read more
