(3/5 stars) This was…read moremy first time trying the self-serve dog wash at Pet Supplies Plus. My mom and I brought Riley and Amir, and I left thinking, "I'd do this again." One thing that's worth knowing before you go is the pricing. The regular wash is $14 per dog, but Rewards members can prepay for five washes at $8 each, which saves over 40%. If you're planning to wash your dog more than once, that's the route I'd take. They provide the shampoo, conditioner, brushes, dryers, towels, and everything else you need, so you don't have to pack up your own supplies. The biggest downside for me was the setup. You spend the entire wash bent over your dog, and my back was definitely feeling it by the end. There's also no barrier between you and your dog, so when they decide to shake--and let's be honest, they will--you'll probably end up wearing some of the bath yourself. I also wasn't a fan of the towels. They technically provide them, but they're really small and didn't absorb much water. They felt more like they were there because towels are expected than because they actually help. I'd bring an old towel from home next time. Other than that, everything worked well. The dryers had plenty of power, the supplies were stocked, and it was nice not having to clean up my own bathroom afterward. Overall, I'd come back. I still prefer another self-serve wash I use because I like having a barrier between me and the dog, but if Pet Supplies Plus is the closest option--or you're using the prepaid Rewards deal--it's a solid choice.

The smaller store makes it a quicker trip when picking up crickets as there is always an employee around to grab them for me. The women who work there are amazing and I can tell they really care for the animals in their care. It doesn't feel like I'm bothering them when I come in and it is always nice to see smiles on their faces. I will always come back to this location when there are employees like this!

I'm talking about a favorite pet speciality shop, Captivating Canines. (See pictures) For about a year we'd noticed that the store was no longer at the corner of Main St. and Westerville in downtown Westerville. We were saddened to see it go because it had been a favorite shop to pick up unique Christmas and birthday gifts for pet owner friends and family. So, when we walked out the back door of Old Bag of Bones, we could see this new shop and decided to check it out. Ron, the new owner had bought the store but relocated just a short distance down Main St. Although he told me he wasn't a huge "BUCKEYE" fan, I was willing to forgive him of that small indiscretion as we continued to talk about the store and new inventory he had on display. He was very gracious and allowed us to walk around and take pictures of him and specialized, fun merchandise he had in the store to share with you. It is a very relaxed environment so you can casually take your time to look around. Many items are marked down 50%. I was equally impressed and appreciative that the shop was designed to be handicap friendly with ample aisle space that allowed me to take my walker to any place I wanted to go.

Every time we go in Captivating Canines, the owner is so friendly and helpful. We have a puppy and go there for most of his basic needs and some more we didn't know about. Today we had to get his second collar and a new harness. They have a great selection of bright and colorful and fun designed collars and harnesses. We always come away from there happy and in a good mood. Such a sweet little place. It's fun to shop in and not overwhelming, like the big pet supply stores. Definitely make a stop, it's fun just to stroll and I guarantee you'll find something unique!

I had scheduled a mobile grooming service and I had given the groomer instructions which he completely disregarded and I was so upset when I saw my dog. I have not let anyone groom him ever since. I usually do it myself, although I have no professional training but it's better than what I paid for. I received a notification for a discounted grooming with a new groomer, Ruben. I decided to come, we met and dropped off Charlie. I showed him exactly what I didn't want and he took the time to get Charlie properly groomed. I'm so happy that I will make sure and feel confident to bring Charlie back. Highly recommend

Today I had a differentGroomer there,Ruben, who charged an extra $30 saying she was matted. I have never had a Groomer say that or add any additional fees to the already hundred dollar expense. He didn't disclose this prior to her grooming, and.when I picked her up he had added the additional charge. I would not go to that Groomer again. They just add extra expenses. A Hundred dollars is enough to pay to have your dog groomed every 6 to 8 weeks. In addition, if there was a problem with her matting, it should've been addressed prior to my arrival and it should've been agreed upon as an additional fee.

Many were dirty, smelly, or harsh. Zoom Room Dog Training was the opposite. It is clean and spacious facility and the staff warm, kind, and professional. My first orientation meet and greet sold me. She took so much time getting to know me and my boy Bailey. I could tell they would love him like I do. I signed up for 10 sessions. We've participated in two of our group sessions. Bailey has had fun learning. While it is too early to determine how successful the training will be, I'm encouraged by their methods and the faculty. Check back for my final review.

This was the only local store that had what I was looking for and the staff member was very helpful. I came back the next week and got her a new winter Sherpa that was on sale as well. What always brings me back is their seasonal toys, treats, and bandanas...they're just too cute!
