The plants and materials I have purchased have always been healthy and with proper care have grown well. My negative comment is while they are big on sell, I am less than impressed with their service. I had an ornamental cherry tree that I was having problems with and needed the service of an arborist. I called both locations twice each to ask for someone to come out and take a look. I knew there would be a cost for this service, which they advertise, and was willing to pay. All four times I was told someone would get back with me which never happened.

The event happening here was the Bark-B-Q benefiting Rescue Ohio. For my dog this place was puppy heaven, she's wagging her tail in excitement about meeting all the dogs here for an event and the staff they were just very friendly and helpful. The staff helped me find Bella's pinch collar that the trainer outside recommended to us and it was really great because now Bella doesn't have the pressure that a choker puts on her neck when being outside. The trainer also helped me adjust it to Bella's size and it was just very nice to have someone there and that was knowledgeable helping me out that day! In addition, PetPeople also brought in Brown's Photography and they took pictures of Bella and they were just adorable. Bella had a very fun time and came home very tired! Thank you PetPeople for putting together a great event last weekend and also helping me find the best outdoor collar for my pup! We are happy customer's and will return in no time!

(3/5 stars) This was…read moremy first time trying the self-serve dog wash at Pet Supplies Plus. My mom and I brought Riley and Amir, and I left thinking, "I'd do this again." One thing that's worth knowing before you go is the pricing. The regular wash is $14 per dog, but Rewards members can prepay for five washes at $8 each, which saves over 40%. If you're planning to wash your dog more than once, that's the route I'd take. They provide the shampoo, conditioner, brushes, dryers, towels, and everything else you need, so you don't have to pack up your own supplies. The biggest downside for me was the setup. You spend the entire wash bent over your dog, and my back was definitely feeling it by the end. There's also no barrier between you and your dog, so when they decide to shake--and let's be honest, they will--you'll probably end up wearing some of the bath yourself. I also wasn't a fan of the towels. They technically provide them, but they're really small and didn't absorb much water. They felt more like they were there because towels are expected than because they actually help. I'd bring an old towel from home next time. Other than that, everything worked well. The dryers had plenty of power, the supplies were stocked, and it was nice not having to clean up my own bathroom afterward. Overall, I'd come back. I still prefer another self-serve wash I use because I like having a barrier between me and the dog, but if Pet Supplies Plus is the closest option--or you're using the prepaid Rewards deal--it's a solid choice.

The smaller store makes it a quicker trip when picking up crickets as there is always an employee around to grab them for me. The women who work there are amazing and I can tell they really care for the animals in their care. It doesn't feel like I'm bothering them when I come in and it is always nice to see smiles on their faces. I will always come back to this location when there are employees like this!

What a wonderful surprise to walk out of Old Bag of Nails in Westerville, OH where my wife and I…read morehad just finished lunch and discover a store we thought was gone still existed. I'm talking about a favorite pet speciality shop, Captivating Canines. (See pictures) For about a year we'd noticed that the store was no longer at the corner of Main St. and Westerville in downtown Westerville. We were saddened to see it go because it had been a favorite shop to pick up unique Christmas and birthday gifts for pet owner friends and family. So, when we walked out the back door of Old Bag of Bones, we could see this new shop and decided to check it out. Ron, the new owner had bought the store but relocated just a short distance down Main St. Although he told me he wasn't a huge "BUCKEYE" fan, I was willing to forgive him of that small indiscretion as we continued to talk about the store and new inventory he had on display. He was very gracious and allowed us to walk around and take pictures of him and specialized, fun merchandise he had in the store to share with you. It is a very relaxed environment so you can casually take your time to look around. Many items are marked down 50%. I was equally impressed and appreciative that the shop was designed to be handicap friendly with ample aisle space that allowed me to take my walker to any place I wanted to go.

Every time we go in Captivating Canines, the owner is so friendly and helpful. We have a puppy and go there for most of his basic needs and some more we didn't know about. Today we had to get his second collar and a new harness. They have a great selection of bright and colorful and fun designed collars and harnesses. We always come away from there happy and in a good mood. Such a sweet little place. It's fun to shop in and not overwhelming, like the big pet supply stores. Definitely make a stop, it's fun just to stroll and I guarantee you'll find something unique!
