I live literally 8 min away, but have to drive ALL THE WAY to Fayetteville to see/shop for live fish?! It's crazy .. Management please get somebody in that department that knows something smh. I don't know why I keep trying to patronize establishments on or near Camp Creek. But this time I'm done.... Walk into PetSmart at 8:25 with my 7 year old and went straight to the fish section to buy fish. No one came to help or even asked if we needed help. Chose our fish and went to the front to get help only to he told they stop selling fish at 8:30. I politely explained we were in the store before 8:30, waiting for some help as the cashier had customers in line and the other employees were not out on the floor. I futher explained the fish were to replace my daughters bunny who had escaped his pen, I already knew what fish we wanted PLEASE HELP. The cashier called someone on a radio who said no. Now the store doesn't close until 9, there is t a sign that says they won't pets after 8:30...this IS a pet store thats still open. It's just a lazy way of not doing the job you are paid for and in the process my child is disappointed, NOT because of something that COULDNT be done but because of something that WOULDNT be done. What happened to customer service? Or basic courtesy? I wasn't there minutes before close demanding help. I was there 30+ minutes before close asking to buy what they sell. 5 STARS ONLY SO I CAN BE AT THE TOP OF THE LIST; This our second visit at the east point location, my first visit was absolutely amazing! The second time went totally opposite. I have a 8mouth old Maltese terrier. He's a baby still. He has a collapsed trachea. Took him to a real veterinary and they told me that it's common in small dogs and that there's nothing that can be done until it becomes a problem. He's on medication to keep him calm but sometimes he gets really excited because he's a in house dog. He's not use to being around people or other dogs even. The first time, he was fine. Maybe because his groomer made him feel safe. I'm not sure what may have happened in there but maybe he was scared of you. That's why he had an attack. He just needs to feel loved and he's calm. I'm guessing his attack freaked everyone out because when I came to pick him up, this lightskin gay guy starts attacking me soon as I walked through the door. I was soo excited to see my baby but quickly my smile was wiped off by the greeting "oh your dog can't come back here" in the most unpleasant and unprofessional tone of voice, as if he was shouting at me. I was on the phone so I'm trying to understand what was happening but all I can hear is him getting loud and nasty with me. I am really working on how I respond to people so I tried to explain what was happening and the gay guy was so upset at my dog (makes me think he treated my puppy badly and that's why my dog was scared, definitely didn't feel that love for dogs within him) He wasn't trying to hear me at all. His approach was definitely intimidating so I can understand how my dog felt, he's just a puppy. I'm guessing they had to switch groomers at one point so the original groomer jumps in and she says in a calming loving voice "He just needs some calming treats" and I really appreciate her giving me options to prepare him for the next visit(which will not happen by the way) I applaud my original groomer and she handled that very well. Is the light skin gay guy the owner? How can you just band my dog because of a medical condition when humans can't even be band for having health problems. Wouldn't that be discrimination? And why didn't this happen the first visit ? How about taking a different approach like "I am worried about your dogs health, today his appointment went like this (you explain to me what happened) we together can discussed further options. I am a pharmacist and I would never treat my patients this way! I help people, you service animals but one thing about animals that different from humans is animals can sense danger or sniff out the bad people. You can't trick them! They know you work there just for the money and not because you genuinely love dogs. You need to find a profession that you love then you'll love doing it. I understand people have bad days but your behavior unacceptable! Y'all need to watch those cameras to see if he really treating our pets with love because something definitely ain't right with this guy. I should have read the reviews first but I went off the first impressions and I guess any establishment can put on a show the first time, just to get you to come back. This is what customer service has come too! Such a shame! Maybe this just ain't it for you. read more

I asked an employee for help with locating 2 items in the back and there was no effort made to go look for it. I am traveling this week and I needed to replenish food for my pets as well as an automatic feeder. I was unable to find anything and the fact that the employee did not want to help me out and see if they had any in back stock was very disappointing. Unfortunately I'll have to drive around to other locations to get what I need. There was more than 1 employee free to go and help nobody did. I come here a lot because it's the closest location to me, but I'll have to just order what I need from Amazon moving forward. Terrible service here. read more

Overall, I like this store. The staff is always very nice and helpful here. My puppy is trained by Zae and she absolutely loves her and this store. My puppy literally has a blast anytime she comes here. The one downside to this location is it doesn't seem to have as many sections as the other PetSmart a. For example, clothing, leashes, crates, dog gates, etc. Also, there is always a pretty lengthy wait at this store. There doesn't seem to be enough people working at this location in comparison to the demand. read more

This PetsMart is located in the Camp Creek Marketplace; there is plenty of parking & nearby stores & eateries if you have to wait on anything. I always come here & I must say during the pandemic service was a bit lackluster due to being shortstaffed. The poor beta fish were in bad shape up near the registers last summer, but now they have gotten fresh fish & larger containers to hold them. The ones who survived the pandemic have been moved to the back near the other fish tanks. I would not purchase those at this point. As far as supplies, sometimes they are out of stock on some items, but if I revisit in another week or two, they are usually stocked. I was able to find everything I needed today for my new turtle so that was great. I had to find all of my own supplies; it would have been nice to have help from a sales clerk. read more

Made a grooming appointment a week ago and even had someone call me to confirm the appointment the day before. Only for me to arrive, and the groomer was not only late, but told his manager that he did not feel comfortable grooming my dog because he has "thin skin". This was the dumbest thing I have ever heard, and it was such a waste of my time to come all the way to this appointment for them to tell me that my dog would not be serviced. When I inquired with the manager of why didn't anyone tell me prior to, and he said he didn't know. This place is so unprofessional. read more

When we inquired she said "We ain't got it" and walked away. As the manager she should be able to provide basic customer service. Let's talk about how terrible and lack of customer service this location has. I went in Sunday morning to return a damaged item that had been purchased as a gift. I had my receipt. A man who said his name was Blake and later said he was the manager when I asked for one; had nothing identifying he even worked at the store, no name badge, no Petsmart shirt nothing. He looks at the receipt and proceeds to tell me the receipt in 60 days old and he cannot return it. Yes it is because I told you in the beginning it was a gift. I had taken it to another Petsmart and they said that I needed to bring it back to where it was purchased. I looked at the receipt and the return date was up until 2/9 day I was trying to return it on 2/13. I have receipt that clearly shows I purchased it. I explained I tried to return at another store and was told I had to go back to the place of purchase which is not Convenient for me. At this point I asked to speak to a manager, at this point the man helping me states he is the manager. I pointy ask, "you are the manager, you clearly see I have a receipt, the item was purchased at this location and is damaged and you are refusing to return it?" I the. Ask for the number to the corporate offices. Blake says, I do t have it, it's probably on the receipt. Nope I look on the receipt and only the store number is there, which I show him. He then says well you can try and call and see if they have the number. Help me understand why a store manager does not have the corporate number and is REFUSING to return item. Because I'm going to call corporate to report Blake and get the item returned. I go to my car and Google quickly provides me with the Corporate number for Petsmart. Take a guess at who has a gift card??? I understand it is hard to find good workers in retail, but the lack of service, nonchalant ess and critical thinking skills is ridiculous. A few simple issue has now turned into a voice mouth piece as I will tell as many people I can to NEVER shop at the Marketplace Petsmart. You don't get this treatment in Buckhead. But the tone and attitude of the employee I just talked to while trying to make an appointment was so brash. I just had to end the conversation and will be looking elsewhere for service. Grooming I have had dogs consistently since 2008, and I have spent well into the tens of thousands on grooming services, various items and dog food. My most recent experience, has completely turned me off from ever wanting to deal with this location ever again and maybe PetSmart period. Someone referred the groomer Marlena to me, to have my two Giants schnauzers groomed. I completely understand that they are large dogs, and very rambunctious with lots of energy. Neither of the two are aggressive in nature, even she stated that to me, and I completely understand them being a handful, hence why I always tip my groomers well and even ensure I give gift cards over the holidays sometimes as much as $100.00. The last time I groomed my dogs with her, I got a very weird vibe when I went to picked them up. As I was leaving, I saw her, and she completely diverted her gaze, I simply was going to thank her and say I left a tip for you. Two months passed and and I was ready to schedule my dogs again, but every time I called, she was either never available, or I was told she was busy or not there. I was starting to get the impression that I was being avoided. When I tried to book over the phone, I could sense the discomfort and awkwardness from the groomer answering the phone because clearly she had a note under my name, referencing my dogs last week. When I called, the young lady was proceeding to book my dogs with her and then told me I'm sorry I can't proceed to schedule them, she has a note in the system stating I need to book with her directly. So today I was in the area and decided to stop in I walked and greeted everyone, she was grooming, a dog, and immediately turned her back to me, barely speaking. I asked the young lady at the front desk that I'm there to schedule my dogs with Marlena who is standing behind you. She pulls up my name and everything and then tells me I'm sorry, but you cannot book with her anymore. Now imagine my embarrassment, when she says this, because Marlena could've simply turned around and addressed me directly, because she could clearly hear my exchange with the associate, in a professional manner, and said, I'm sorry your dogs are a little too much for me to handle. I would've respected her telling me this months ago, as opposed to me, wasting time, contacting her, and being ignored, what is this high school? Sometimes in business uncomfortable conversations need to be had... she should have been professional enough and adult enough, to address me the last time I was, there or called me over the phone and not just avoid me like some child. She finally turns and said "I'm sorry they are too much, you can try another groomer though" To which I immediately replied " no thank you, I am good" and I walked out. I was beyond infuriated, humiliated and angry. I actually left the store, but I drove all the way back to speak to a manager, because she needed to be checked and clearly educated on how to deal with people like an adult. Any groomer who has an issue with a dog, should have the uncomfortable conversation and speak to the dog owner, not avoid them. I simply started using her because I moved closer to the area, but I will rather drive Over an hour to have my dogs groomed with the old groomer than to deal with her or Petsmart. I literally had $100 gift card to give her for Christmas and I actually referred three people to her and I would've happily continued to refer people to her if this was properly handled but no more I will actually encourage those who I sent to her to NOT return. The manager offered to help me deal with another groomer, but I don't trust that my dogs will be safe and not ill treated at this location, so I will go elsewhere. So I will suggest Marlena get some better training on interpersonal skills, she maybe a good groomer but ZERO PROFESSIONALISM... I am very disappointed... but life goes on... I'm Sure that I am not the first person she has done this to! read more

Dirty location! Very unsanitized and dusty, there can't be a cleaning crew at all! I would not allow my dog to ever walk on that floor!

The clerk was nice but the store smelled like urine and pooh. It was so nasty I had my dog ride in the cart because I didnt want him to get sick. This is by far the worst Pet Smart I have ever been in as far as product availability and cleanliness. I personally would not leave my dog to get groomed or trained in such a nasty place. But because this is a big box retailer in a predominately black neighborhood people will just deal with it. We need a Petco or Pet Super Market and this place would go under. read more

Took my dog to groomer. AWFUL job! They washed him....didn't brush him. When I picked him up he was still wet under his arms, ears and tail. They told me it was because the washer was "NEW". The worst wash and brush I have ever seen. They did not properly blow him dry. Never going back. read more

I took my dog to go get a full wash and cut August 20, 2022. The lady at the front desk asked if I wanted any thing else trimmed before they started. I said no just leave his beard area alone. The day after his appointment, my sister had noticed something wasn't right about his face. Come to find out, the groomer had clipped me dogs whiskers without my consent, and I was PISSED!!! If you know dogs, it is highly recommended to NOT cut their whiskers because it helps with their balance and equilibrium. My dog is mostly hyper and energetic and since his whiskers were clipped he is the complete opposite. I went up to the store the day after and had gotten a refund and honestly the grommer should be fired. This is not my first time there but this is the first time I noticed something wrong and I will not be returning. P.S the lady that groomed my dog, her name is Latonya. Before the other night, I would have said this was one of the cleaner and nicer petsmarts i'd stepped into....then I saw a big dog poop right next to the register and her owner. Staff all looked blankly at each other, before the owner finally cleaned it up (as they should have) What can I say? It's petsmart. They typically have really nice and informative customer service as well as a great supply of everything you need. There is a grooming area in the back, and lately they've had some pet adoptions up. I truly like this store, but I wish it offer more options like, the pet hotel, pet day care or even more dog adoptions like some of their other locations offer. It sucks that I have to travel to the more upscale shopping centers or locations clear on the other side of town to get these options and great service for my pets. read more

I usually have a great experience at ALL Petsmart stores. I have grown accustomed to a clean facility with friendly staff. An individual by the name of Kojo (sp?) or Kojie was absolutely no help. Customer service at THIS location is inferior to any other in the metro area. Sadly, it's the only store in this zip code (30331). If you're out and about in Atlanta, and you can shop at another store in a different area, I'd recommend doing that.
