This is the best pet store I have seen by far since I have lived in Georgia, the owner's are both very knowledgeable on exotic pets wether you are looking for Birds, Reptiles, or Fish (Fresh water or Saltwater) this is your best store to come to Always great experience here with the owner's and staff, very Friendly and attentive, and they will take care of your needs if something happens that is unexpected, for example if you buy a fish and you make it home and it has died just bring it back and they make it right , if you had already acclimated it bring the fish back with a water sample. Me and my husband are big aquarium guy's and love to raise fish it is relaxing. I keep snakes. I have for a while. Got a sand boa, a red tail, and a ball python. This shop was in my area, so I went there to get feeders. The prices are a bit high though, and the woman (dark-haired) is very unfriendly. In fact she told me I didn't know how to take care of snakes. Really? When I say Ms. Teri is amazing, I mean Ms. Teri is AMAZING!!!! I just left from meeting my new Cockatiel-Hendrix! Ms. Teri has raised these birds since they were babies and you can tell at how much they love her! There is a little table in the store to interact with the birds before you make a decision and when I sat down with Hendrix...we clicked instantly! Ms. Teri even spent the time to get to know me on a personal level! I have no doubts that Hendrix will be well taken care of until I'm able to bring him home after weening. Fantastic! I've been caring for animals for over half my life and this place is the best local shop in my area. They are extremely knowledgeable, and very helpful. They truly care about the animals, which is invaluable and very hard to find. I've gotten several fish, coral, inverts, reptiles, and supplies from them and their products and animals are the best, and healthiest things in my tanks/ enclosures. This place is one of the few remaining non-chain pet stores around. They specialize in exotic birds and reptiles, but also have a decent selection of saltwater fish. Their freshwater fish leave a little to be desired, but what they have seems to be healthy and well cared for. The staff (especially the owner) is abundantly knowledgeable and very friendly, and I felt at home when I walked through the door. I will be returning again and again, as long as they remain open. Ani-mart is without a doubt the best pet store we have ever had the pleasure of finding. They have great prices on products and pets and are extremely knowledgeable about Herpetology, Aquatics and the etymology of Avians....Teri and Diego are the owners here and are always available to give what I consider astute and expert advise. We boarded our Conure here while on vacation and then promptly fell in love with a newborn Eclectus Parrot....and when I say newborn,I mean just hatched...we had to wait a month just to see what color plumage she would have.Red for the females and green for the males.Now it is a weekly visit to the nursery where she will stay until weaned just to visit and marvel at the growth of this hand fed beauty.... If I hadn't moved away, I would still be in there on a weekly basis, and not because I particularly need anything, but because they are wonderful people and have such a great pet store. They are always getting new stock, and can give you advice and up to date medical advice on birds, fish, reptiles, etc. I bought an Umbrella Cockatoo, Maggie from them back in 2000 before she even had feathers and they allowed me to come in on my lunch break to sit and talk with her before I could even handle her. I visited this location last weekend, mainly looking for feeder mice for my newly acquired ball python, and to ask a few questions. So we go to the counter and begin talking to the lady there, she asks where we bought our snake, i replied Petsmart. She immediately got an attitude with us huffed,puffed and stormed away. I get it you are bothered that we bought from a big box store, but that is done and over with now. Now the main concern should be the well being of my snake, so if i am here in your store ready to spend money and learn more about my snake you should be helpful, i could've been a returning customer. I see if like this: imagine this same lady who smokes cigarettes were to show up to the hospital with lung cancer, the doctor asks what brought on your lung cancer, she replies, smoking. The Dr. huffs, puffs, and storms away instead of doing what is best for her and trying to help her. Point is get over it, you are being nasty because i didn't buy from you, but your being nasty also prevented me from buying anything from you ever in the future! read more

The people are professional, friendly and knowledgeable and are not afraid to say when they do not know something and can usually refer to someone that does know.
