Beware A reply to your termination letter…read more Since the beginning he accused me of perjury because of my hand writing according to him I have a woman's handwriting and he has seen thousands of signatures and men aren't supposed to have good hand writing ( I have the emails where he accused me) I hope you stop judging people base on their gender and education level for the handwriting. He calls me on a Sunday evening to talk about the Zoom hearing me and my wife asked if she can be there, he says " yes it's a public hearing " doesn't give me details about my wife being on video until the hearing is happening. When you called on Sunday you were on speaker (my wife speaks perfect English) you never mentioned anything of what your termination letter says. I believe you have too many cases on your plate and you don't keep good track of them and it's hard to remember what you tell customers over the phone on a Sunday evening or maybe it's just the age or who knows on what sobriety state he calles customers on a Sunday evening. Overall I believe I'm not the only one that has complained about his communication skills.

My experience with Mr. Piculell is not good at all. He took advantage of my lack of knowledge about…read morethe legal system, always reschedule the court dates, not explaining what's happening and the process. Be ware, he charges a trial fee of $1,500 but does nothing to prepare and you plead guilty instead of going into the deposition and the money is gone. I feel ripped of and taken advantage of. That was my first time hiring a lawyer for any legal reason and I hope the last. An attorney should be representing my rights and be on my side instead of working against me and doing what's best for him. If I can give no stars at all I would.

Great experience from start to finish…read more My husband and I originally tried to file for my green card on our own, but we found the paperwork confusing in places and didn't want to risk making errors. We also had a few unique circumstances we weren't sure how to handle (name + gender marker change), which is when we decided to reach out to an immigration lawyer. Working with Paul was fantastic. While there was still lots of paperwork for us to fill out, Paul was incredibly thorough and helped make the entire process manageable. He was always prepared, highly responsive to email, and took the time to answer every one of our clarifying questions point by point. Unlike other lawyers we spoke with, Paul also offered to attend the green card interview with us which was a big draw. A few days before the interview, he sat down with us to walk through exactly what to expect. On the day of, having him there in the room helped make everything go very smoothly. He was clearly familiar with interviewers and the interviewer was familiar with him. Paul was everything we could have wanted from an immigration lawyer and we highly recommend working with him.

Our…read morewedding certificate was three months late, then it was tax season, then we moved -- and honestly, our ability to focus on an application you really can't make mistakes on just wasn't there. For peace of mind, we felt it was worth hiring a lawyer to make sure everything was done correctly. After doing our research, we chose Paul Choquette. During our consultation, Paul was very blunt, upfront, and no-BS about our case, the process, and our situation. There was no sugarcoating, which I know can be intimidating for some people. I've seen reviews that mention his personality as a negative, but personally, we really appreciated it. He is also a kind person, and his directness gave us a lot of confidence that he knew exactly what he was doing and could handle our case well. Everything included in Paul's package made us feel extremely comfortable throughout the process. We started with the consultation, then completed his detailed questionnaire so he had everything he needed to prepare our paperwork correctly. Once we received our interview date, we had an online meeting to prepare for the interview, and Paul was also present in the room with us during the interview itself. Our interview only took about five minutes because Paul had already uploaded all of our documents to the immigration portal ahead of time. The agent had reviewed everything before we even walked in and only needed to ask standard questions. We were approved the same day and now have my green card. Paul was available and responsive at every step, answering all of our questions whether by email or phone. We always felt supported and informed, which made what could have been a very stressful process feel smooth and manageable. If you can embrace his blunt personality, you'll gain a kind, competent, thorough, confidence-building, and reassuring lawyer who will take great care of your case. I highly recommend Paul specifically, and Choquette Immigration Law Group as a whole. We absolutely plan on returning when we need help with my 10-year green card.
