He was able to diagnose the issue with our boiler and narrow it down to one of two possibilities. After ordering parts, he came back, as promised, to complete the job. We finally have a working boiler. Mike is a great and kind guy. He's honest, respectful, friendly and reliable. He won't let you down. I appreciate that he kept in touch when he was en route. He diagnosed the problem quickly (low refrigerant) and charged it up so everything was back up and running. I needed emergency service from my regular HVAC company but they did not do emergency calls for AC on weekends. We chose our plan and arranged all the rebate/financial and within a month had the equipment installed. What a change! Should have done it long ago. Thanks to Eddie and Simon for helping with the process (and answering a lot of questions!) and to Tim and Jonah who installed the mini-splits and took the time to ensure the correct placement for max coolness (and also answered lot of questions!) Tim had to determine best placement of outside hoses for the bedroom unit and then make it work. All work looks fantastic! They also offer annual maintenance. We are very pleased with the service.

After calling, Katie explained this to me, and explained that she would contact me back once a slot filled open. She did and a very professional team of two came and looked at the piping a few days later. They explained what they would be doing and went out and bought the tools they needed and repaired the pipe in a few hours. I also had some other unrelated piping issues and the tech was eager to take a look at it for me and attempted to help remedy the situation, and also said he would have his boss provide me with a quote. I called R.B.Queern to come out to my house to tune-up my central AC system. My experience with…read morethem was both positive and negative. The PROS: The technicians were professional and friendly. During the 2 hours they worked, they were efficient and did not waste time. Because they charge by the hour ($165 per hour), this is important. The techs found an error in how the AC unit was installed, and they were able to fix it that day. Their fix prevented a big problem of water leaking into my ceiling. Also, when I reviewed the work order, I do not think I was over-charged for the parts they needed to fix my unit; the prices I was charged for the PVC parts seemed reasonable. The CONS: I was never told when I booked the appointment (as a new client) that they charge the travel time from when the tech leaves the previous job and drives to my house. As a result, I was charged $82.50 (30 min) for the tech to drive to my house from the previous job. This is an excessive charge. I understand that gasoline costs money, but to charge $165 per hour for travel time is too much. If they charged something like $30 per hour for travel time, that would be reasonable, and I would be leaving a 5 star review.

He went on to say that our boiler would need to be replaced fairly soon, showing me pictures of rust. He provided a quote for boiler replacement. I called two other HVAC companies, including Ocean State Air Solutions. Joe DeSilva and his very knowledgeable partner, Chris, came to my home to take a look at the boiler. Chris was patient in describing the functionality of the various components of our system. He went on to say that our boiler was a cast-iron boiler in good shape and should last for many more years. He said selling me a new one would be dishonest. These two gentlemen were honest, forthright, and patient with me, who has zero knowledge of boilers. So, I am cancelling my contract with my current HVAC service provider and going with Joe and Chris from Ocean State Air Systems because Trust matters to me.
