They got me in right away (when I called back the 2nd time to book, they came the same day!). Two nice guys showed up, were here for about 30 minutes, and cleaned the vent. I asked them to take pictures since the work was done in the attic, and I didn't go up there (see attached pics). We had not had them cleaned in about 4 years, and they needed it! I needed the following work: remove an old bird's nest from my 2nd floor shower vent and attach a cover, clean out my drier vent and check the supply vents on the 1st floor with a camera as I couldn't figure out how mice were getting in the past winter. I chose Vent Pros for several reasons: their quick response (they went to my home the same day to provide an accurate estimate), communication was thorough and prompt, I prefer to support local, veteran owned businesses, fully insured, and their estimate was fair. I was concerned that they didn't have more reviews, but when Seth explained he recently relocated from RI, I was satisfied with that answer. The day off, Seth arrived with his co worker only a few minutes late but he had called to let me know he was running behind anyway. They began with the bird's nest on the 2nd floor. A much more complicated task than anticipated. There was a ton of debris to remove and it was really packed in there. Once removed, they disinfected, cleaned up the mess inside my bathroom thoroughly and then moved onto the drier. To be honest, I wouldn't have hired someone to just clean my drier vent but because he was here doing other work, I added it on and I'm super glad I did as there was a lot more stuff inside the vent and drier than I thought there would be. Seth, even replaced the duct tape I had around the vent opening behind the drier and put a more secure fastener in place without me asking and without an additional charge! I'm guessing it was because, I had expressed concern than maybe the mice were getting in through the small openings around the tape. Seth then used his 'camera on a wire thing' to check eacthe floor vents (I have a very tight crawl space and this was the best and inexpensive way to check) and sure enough one of my supply ducts was totally detached! Again he showed me the live video. Mice access mystery solved! All in all they were here 3-4 hours; on a VERY hot day I might add. After completion he did say the nest job was way more complicated and time consuming than anticipated so he added a small fee to the original estimate but I was so happy with their thoroughness, I was prepared to tip him if he didn't. Like I mentioned in the beginning, my HVAC company just cut ties with their duct cleaning referral but I bet they have one now! Wink. Highly recommend Seth and crew. You won't be disappointed.
