Had to pay an upfront consultation fee to then get told dog needed stitches. Prices were quite hefty as expected. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! They do not care about your fur babies! They just let my families dog of 11 years die. She was seizing and when we went to go ask for help they locked the door on us and she unfortunately passed. Things from the start here were rough. They were 10 min late opening their doors and multiple customers said it is common for them to be late in opening. I had made an appt for my pup early in the month and apparently he was not on the schedule. They ended up still taking him but the male that sits at the front desk was unprofessional and was talking to the girl about it right in front of me and at one point had stated,"this is going to throw a wrench in the entire day". I confirmed that things were good to go for my pup and he sarcastically responds," I guess we'll make it work". Staff in general wasn't the most friendly here, which is unfortunate as I was looking to switch vets for all 3 of my fur babies. But I can't say I'll return here. My review was deleted. A picture is supposed to be worth a thousand words. This so called vet office butchered my dogs ears. $300 cash was requested up front and there was not refunds. I only took my dog to this vet because it came recommended by the breeder. The day of the surgery we were to drop our dogs off and wait until we received a call to go back and get our pets. When I receive my call I was excited to pick up my dog. The vet was holding him the whole time while talking with me. Talking about he was the best dog of all. My dog probably has PTSD from the surgery alone. They actually cut off a piece of his ear and sewed it back to his ear. These are supposed t be people who we trust our animals with. I am sure they take a Hippocratic oath to provide the best care for our pets. The major insult was when they didn't tell me. I HIGHLY recommend this vet place!!! My English Bulldog had contracted pyometra and was in dire need of emergency surgery! My husband and I called like 30+ places that could do emergency surgery that wasn't very expensive. No one had availability that day. My dog wouldn't have lasted the night. But my husbands father told us about this place in town, we called and Pets Vet gave a flat rate cost. It was god send! I am truly grateful for this place! Not sure about this Vet. Took my silver lab in for a growth on her side. I expected a consultation or for him to explain the options and her health. I didn't get any of that, he just walked in looked at her and walked out. Few minutes later the assistant walked in and handed me a quote of $1300 that she needed surgery and a biopsy. She handed me a bill for around $110 for the check up. I thought it was like $60 but they up sale some allergy medication I never requested. Well, the next week the growth went away on her side and she's fine. Seems this Vet. Has no time to talk with you about the diagnosis or any options. Just wants the money! read more

Our Gabby girl developed an intestinal problem right before Thanksgiving and we ended up losing her right before Christmas but Dr. Rizon went above and beyond to do everything possible to make our little girl better. But with the amount of money that is charged here per animal even more expensive than other Vets who do keep there offices clean and dated with nice furniture wall art etc ....... this office is not my first choice but word of advice please clean your office with dogs coming in and out of there with a dirty office like this one is I'm afrade to bring my dog back because of parvo and God knows whatever else due to the uncleanness of this office. read more

I will first say thank you as they took me in after someone canceled and I didn't have an appointment. I had a two day old puppy that mom chewed to close on his umbilical cord and caused a hole in his stomach which the doctor did stitch up so we thought pup had a fighting chance but sadly he passed and we found him dead this morning sadly. So my question is what's your policy on a animal that dies after treatment because I feel like I payed $75 for something that was going to happen anyway. Jordan squeezed us in during their lunch break even though they are booked out a month and a half for surgeries!!! They listened to every concern I had, and obliged to every one. I have mixed feeling about this place. They are good at getting you in if you have a major emergency. However, It is almost impossible to get through on the phone. Your better off just driving over there. the office could use a good cleaning seems dirty to me and the biggest problem I have with this place is they don't want you in the exam room with your pets. You have to tell the girl what's wrong and your concerns then she writes it down and relays it to the vet while they take your pet to the exam room and leave you waiting in the lobby. I like to be in the room to explain everything and visually point to what's going on. sometimes if you ask they will let you back to speak to the vet. Jordan at the front desk is always a huge help. just wish they would let you back with your fur babies. read more

Doctor prescribed a medication, Meloxidyl that could have side effects leading to death. He did not inform us of these side effects nor give any informational paperwork. My pet died as a result. I feel Dr. Rizon was negligent in not informing us. I will never take my pets to him or recommend. read more

I took my Rottweiler to Pets Vet and was told he had hip dysplasia I told them to put him down because I didn't want him to suffer the doctor said he was too young and he can fix this . OK ,so I did the surgery and the dog could never walk right again. He just hopped on three legs .I took him back after two weeks to have the stitches removed and they told me he needed another surgery to drain the blood .He got the 2nd surgery and he was worse and in very bad shape . I called my friend who is a pet the tech and she came up from San Diego and took one look at my dog and said Barb, he's not gonna make it . My daughter and Barbie took him to another vet and they put my baby to rest. I'll never forgive them for making him suffer like that.... read more

Brian says "Hi" Chelsey!! Our big baby hurt his right rear passenger foot over "thanksgiving" holiday. Of course, we are visiting family and not familiar with any of the vets here in town. Hubby googled and found "Pets Vet", said they had some great reviews and we got an appointment the day before the holiday. Wow! Dr. Bob is awesome. Very attentive, and Brian didn't seem to mind his poking and tugging. His staff is wonderful and heck, even the other puppy / kitty parents in the lobby were sweet. Of course Brian had to have x-rays and stay the day with poor Chelsey. She lured him into the "cage" in the back room, we said our good-byes and knew he would be in good hands. (Yes, I cried!!) When we came back to pick him up I was surprised to find him sitting in the front desk area with Chelsey and just as happy as can be. She laughed and told me quote un quote " Brian is the biggest baby I have ever seen!" hahahaha She said he whined so loud she couldn't hear anyone on the phone so she brought him up front with her and he was good as gold! can you say "spoiled"!! Dr Rizon was negligent in the care of my dog. I went to this office bc I heard how compassionate he was. Unfortunately, this was not my experience. My dog was dx with an inoperable tumor and needed to be on anti-inflammatory meds. He rx Meloxidyl and sent us on our way. He seemed rushed and left the room before I got my questions answered. There was also no mention of monitoring my dogs labs for organ functioning. Studies show that this medication can/will cause kidney and liver failure. I didn't know until it was too late and my pup passed due to kidney failure. My dog got sick and took her to another vet and was told she should have had her labs checked every 3 months...wth. My dog suffered unnecessarily due to Dr. RIZONS negligence. Needless to say, I will never recommend this vet to anyone, but only say to RUN away despite the reviews! read more
