Our dog's fatty tumor burst open. I called Pets Vet to get her in, but their schedule only allowed for an appointment in six days. I explained the serious nature of her wound and they wiggled us in between appointments, the same day, in one hour. Emergency surgery was necessary and even though they were supposed to close at 1:00, they stayed to treat her. (I know at least one of them had plans with their wife.) Our dog came thru like a champ. My husband and I have been waiting (and avoiding) taking our dog to the vet for a while. She just needed a checkup, but we have had such horrible and expensive vet experiences in the past that we didn't want to go. We finally decided to try Pet's Vet this week and it was a pleasant surprise! Despite the Covid restrictions of not allowing us into the office with our pet, the office was efficient, kind, and honest. The doctor came out and talked to us, offered advice, and gave us a very fair price for an exam and some antibiotics. At many other vets I feel they are trying to find something wrong and try to run unnecessary tests to make money off of people who just want to take care of their pets. I did not get that vibe here and will definitely be returning for my pet needs! read more

This by far is the best Veterinary service we have had our entire years of having pets. We moved to Menifee and used a service in the area for awhile. We just never felt it was the small town service we wanted. We have returned to Hemet to Pets Vet where they know you when you walk in the door. Went in around 1pm , my dogs could not walk , it was close so we rushed over Just to be told they closed forty minutes ago. My dog was in a lot of pain , the Dr was sitting right there and they said we are closed even though there were other clients in the store. DANGER! DANGER ! DANGER ! DO NOT GO HERE !! I am very dissatisfied with service I received at Pets Vet. I took my English Bulldog here for a check up. I just moved and had my records transferred. The Dr, looked at my dog and said she had allergies. So he talked me into a shot. That night my dog was up panting and broke out in hives. I took my dog back to me vet in Lake Elsinore. My Dr. said they could have killed her with that shot. If they took two seconds to read her file they would have seen she was treated for a bladder infection and the shot was not compatible with the medicine. I could have killed this INCOMPETENT FOOL . for hurting my dog like that.. Never again. will I take any animal here... You have been warned ! read more

Was so worried my dog couldnt open one eye and was limping. They were able to tell me he got dirt in his eye and my other dog probably jumped on him dislocating his knee. I got medicine for him since i was afraid of surgery for him since he is an older dog. After a few days he was acting like a puppy again and i cant be more happy. The staff and doctor are so friendly. Jordan (who checked me in) was very reassuring and pleasant since i am a very worried pet parent. Very long story, but quickly if u have a dog in pain that will need pain care for the rest of his life go somewhere else. I have been his client for 7 years and my old terrier he had been treating for pain. Then something happened the strangest change in behavior i have seen yet. He became rude to me cut back my dogs dose in half after been getting treated for full dose for 4 years. He cut it in half in one day, no tapering, no reasoning,i asked why and what else can he offer cause obviously u cant medically do that. He said he didnt know then hid in his office and would only talk to me through his assistant, who shrugged. Again the STRANGEST sudden switch not only to me but medically ethically. He had been great for years with all my dogs. 5 of them. I am an extremely loyal customer when i find good places, but im gone and very personally hurt he treated me so very bady, so so strange. read more

After having a few really nasty experiences with another vet, it was a welcome relief to experience Dr. Rizon's practice. The man at the front desk was extremely nice and friendly, and so was the vet tech who took my cat's temperature. I really liked Dr. Rizon. He is a very nice, gentle man. This office is very compact, the seating is quite awful, but dealing with very friendly, honest, competent and professional staff, makes it more than worth a little discomfort. I'm glad I found this vet. I don't believe Dr. Rizon would try to add unnecessary charges. He was the only vet I've seen that didn't try pushing a prescription diet before he even saw the animal, unlike Dr. Headley and Dr. Marla Greene in San Jacinto. The first visit only cost $49, which was less than other vets too! My experience was all around positive, and I also took the time to notice that the stuff they sell in the waiting room was reasonably priced. This also leads me to believe you aren't going to get unnecessary charges and suggestions for more money. read more

I am so happy with this vet and all the staff! I've been several times for little things like rabies shots, quick surgery for my boxer pup and now for my pugs eye. My pug had trauma to her eye and it swelled so much it came out of the socket. I went to an emergency vet in Temecula since it was after hours when it happened but I called Pets Vet as soon as I got her home so I could schedule a follow up. Her eye was sewn shut and put back in by the emergency vet but is was still very swollen and red. I explained they only gave me antibiotics, pain meds and ointments so Dr Rizon prescribed me anti Inflammation medicine and in the first 24 hours of using it - it looked SOOO much better. Dr Rizon new that was exactly what she needed and while I know it isn't a guarantee it brings us closer to the hope she can keep the eye since right now it's a waiting game, plus I had already spent about a grand to have it put back in by the emergency vet. Everytime I've called or gone in Jordan and Ian are always so sweet and kind (Ian actually came out with me when a guy backed into my jeep and sped off). Now I love my pug more than anything - but I am incredibly squeamish and eye balls coming out is pretty much top of my list of traumatic dog experiences so far (knock on wood) and I was very very scared to be too rough cleaning the eye since it's sewn closed, Arta took her back and got her cleaned up gently everything looked great and stitches were still perfect. I am so thankful for this staff for all of my animal needs. read more

I attempted to call this place numerous times. The first time, I left a message because the answering machine said the office hours were 10-6...no one ever called me back. Later that day, I tried again and the machine then said they were closed until 3:30 for surgeries...I attempted to call 3 more times but the line was constantly busy so I gave up. Then, 2 days later, I tried again. I called when they were supposed to be open, but the answering machine came on so I left another message...no one ever called me back, but at least the message had more details in it. Then I tried 2 days later.....finally the call was answered...by a man who sounded like he could seriously not care less about my animal. I told him the problem and, after about 10 seconds of complete silence, he re-stated it back to me...I confirmed that was what was going on and, after about 10 more seconds of complete silence, he asked mem to hold on; after about 3 minutes on hold, I had to place the call on hold (I was at work and a call came in); I was probably on for less than 30 seconds, when I went back to the call, apparently he'd come back to the line, discovered HE was on hold, then promptly hung up! Guess I'll keep looking for a vet...after all the calls, no response to 2 messages left, then the finale being a rude, uninterested person, I give up on this place! read more
