This place is so cool. They have a lot of stuff for real cowboys and cowgirls. I went into the other room and there was a ton of chicken feed and selection. The baby chicks! So cute, I had a good time looking at all the variety. The staff was really nice as well. read more

It's getting harder and harder to go to Dans feed in Temecula. It's three minutes from my house but I'd rather drive an hour in traffic to Kahoots Murrieta. The customer service is horrible, the place is always dirty, the guys in the back load the orders but most of the time they are all sitting around. Take some pride in your work and make the place look good. read more

Why even go here? Every time I go here and buy alfalfa or Bermuda for my goats I tell them I have the no tax form filled out and should be able to put up that info. DANS FEED AND SEED EMPLOYEES say it not in the system. What do you mean it's not in the system. I filled out the form you handed to.me to fill out and returned it to you at register. Never able to do things right here. Save you your time and go somewhere else where they care for your business. read more

If I had known Dan's 'horse' quality alfalfa hay was full of dried stinging nettle I wouldn't have purchased it. I wouldn't even have taken it if was FREE! Maybe cows can eat this crap but the way it is isn't suitable for horses. I have to hand pick the nettle out from EVERY SINGLE FLAKE. It takes over an hour to feed three horses, twice a day. When I called Dan's they didn't care one iota. Their attitude was 'oh well'. NEVER AGAIN. read more

This feed store has a vehicle scale (truck weight). We had a smog test done on our truck and were referred to them in order to get our truck weight, in order to be able to register it in California. We were a bit confused about the vehicle scale being in a feed store, but they do have one. The process was very fast and was only $10. While we were there we also bought feed for our animals. The employees were very informative about the supplies and feed that they sell, they gave us alot of important information regarding the feed that we were currently using. I definitely recommend both the feed supply store and the truck scale services! read more

Aside from the obvious hay products in the rear of this place, I don't know much about the products that are sold here, but I know that I'm glad I don't have to drive all the way to Perris just to get my out of state trucks weighed for DMV! I am so thrilled to have found Dan's Feed. A real home town feed store and the Orchard grass is wonderful. I have an alpaca farm and the winter time it is a challenge to get quality Orchard grass. They have it and the alpacas enjoy eating healthy, quality Orchard. The guys that load are on top of what they do and are alway courteous. The store staff are knowledgeable and a delight. I've bought hay from everywhere in my 15 years of horse training, and I can honestly say that Dans Feed is the most consistent quality. The price never wavers either! Now on this last load, there were some dry yellowed alfalfa that my older horse wouldn't eat.... the great thing was that Mike had no hesitation in switching them out for his newest alfalfa as fast as they could. I really appreciate them making it right with no fuss. A classic Temecula all pet stop. If they don't have it, they can order it. We get all our dog food there because the price and quality beats any of the chain stores in town. Also, check out their Vaccine clinic days. Dogs and cats of all ages can get updates and a quick check for a very reasonable cost. And they are so nice to the animals. I do all i can to keep my animals healthy and happy and my ranch clean. I would like to feel that my feed store has the same goal in mind. Dan's Feed in Temecula does not feel the same way about the health, happiness and cleanliness of my (or your) ranch and livestock. I commented to one of their clerks that the grain was infested with insects. the lady remarked that the owner "sez it ads protein"! I could find no other expert in animal nutrition to confirm this opinion. On the contrary, all experts agreed feeding infested grain was an unhealthy practice. i did not purchase the grain that day for fear my tack room would become infested with these insects . I resolved to never buy grain at this store. Nearly a year later, in the interest of driving and shopping convenience, I stopped at Dan's. Looked for the grain that i had been buying elsewhere in hopes they had cleaned up their stock. I examined the bag for infestation and it appeared to be the same sack I had refused months earlier. this prompted me to check the expiration date and the product was 9 months beyond it's expiration. I requested the clerk convey my disgust to the management. I will never shop at Dan's again. When the manager did not call back, I called to confirm that the manager had received my message and he had. I attempted to see if he was instituting any changes. He said that they were sending the bags back. i asked if they were going to clean up the infestation and rotate stock responsibly. He became indignant and started talking about his right to refuse service....as an "Amuricun". At this point I gave up and hung up. Dan's location in Temecula is convenient for my route but I will drive out of the way to avoid the poor customer service and the infested/stale/outdated, products. I resolved to spread the word about Dan's until this "Amuricun" manager is replaced and conditions improve. It appears their problem is simply poor management practices. If this manager is in fact the owner.......I would suggest he hire a professional and retire on the profits an effective manager would generate. read more

This is my go to store for our dog and chicken supplies. The girls working there are always helpful and friendly. Their pricing is on par, if not better than other stores in the area. They also get a good variety of baby chicks in, which I love! I wish they had more chicken supplies, but I realize they can't have absolutely everything just sitting there on a shelf waiting for a buyer. read more

I'm a Texas Native and never have I ever been stared at and treated like a complete nobody before in a feed store. The young lady was nice but the customers stared me down and the bald man working behind the counter gave cold stares and shook his head at me, I guess because I was "lost" (couldn't immediately find what I came for). Pardon my ignorance, maybe I should have showed up in Sh*t kickers or maybe I was too dark for the common crowd there. I'd rather spend more at a friendly place. People will hear about this. read more
