When I went to pick her up I was horrified to see she had shaved her. She's a beautiful long haired shepherd and has never needed to be shaved. We live in northern NM night temps in mid teens. We have a large kennel she goes in and out. I yelled at the groomer for shaving her when i specifically said the leave some length for winter. She just stared at me. Then she changed more than last time. My wife and I are very upset she has to keep coming in to warm up. Now I have to buy a 100$ coat to keep her warm. I will never go back there. She didn't care about Lhani just make fast money. Terrible person terrible place.

I called the other day to set up an appointment and told the nice lady on the phone this was our first time being groomed and wanted everything done.She gave me a price of $50 and set the appointment for 10 AM today. The problem started when I called from the parking lot to let them know I was there. The young lady who answered asked why I was there and I told her to get my dog groomed. She asked exactly what I wanted done and I told here "everything". She then started asking exactly what was I there for. What EXACTLY did I want done. I tried to explain that this was our first time and I wasnt sure what came with the grooming, but I wanted it all done. She handed the phone off to another lady for whatever reason who asked me the same question. I explained again I wanted the whole package like we had discussed a couple of days ago. She told me that she was the groomer and she couldnt help me if I didnt tell her exactly what I wanted done. I apologized and said I wasnt trying to be difficult. I just hadnt expected to give specifics on what was to be done since I had never been to a dog groomer before. She got upset and aggressive and told me she couldnt help me then. I told her that was fine I would just go somewhere else. At this point she forgot to hang up the phone and started taking to the other girl there about what an idiot I was and how they didnt want my stupid business anyways. I walked in to let her k ow she forgot to hang up the phone and I could hear everything they were saying. At which point the young girl literally chased me out of the building screaming at me. Nevertheless, our dog was last groomed 6 weeks ago. When I picked up my dog, I found that they had cut her ears all the way to the leather and shaved all the hair off her ears claiming her hair was matted. It wasn't matted, she is groomed monthly and we brush her ears. More importantly, I didn't give them permission to shave my dog's ears making her look freakish. I will never go back. Odd that a groomer would do such a thing without calling first. There are other more capable groomers in Santa Fe.

I am SO glad I followed the recommendation. My Labradoodle and I arrived when they opened, and the gentleman at the front desk spent a lot of time with me as I described exactly what I wanted, showed him pictures, etc. I figured he would think I was crazy, but then he showed me how they keep detailed notes on each animal they groom, so they can do the exact same groom each time, or tweak it according to the owner's desires. When I picked up my buddy a few hours later, I was so thrilled to see him. He looked better than he's ever looked-----even better than the photos I'd left with them. They even took the time to carefully trim his face to show off his 2 inch eyelashes. Sweet! AND.....the price was less than Barks and Bubbles. After my last experience there, I will never go back to B&B. Everyone we came in contact with at ENV was super-friendly, from the first phone contact to pick up. From now on it is only ENV for me and my four legged furbaby.
