My puppy is getting a haircut today and the lady that helped me decide which package to get was awesome! The grooming station was super clean and smell free. This review is for PetSmart's online ordering system and customer care line. I live in East Cobb and ordered dogfood to be delivered to our house. The online system asked me to confirm I wanted it delivered and not for store pick up and then asked me twice to confirm my address. After I checked out I received a confirmation that stated my STORE PICK UP to the midtown location 45 minutes from my house would be ready in 2 hours. I called the customer care line and was told there was nothing they could do and that the only option was to call the store and cancel and then go back online and reorder it. No thank you PetSmart. Glitches happen but an unacceptable process for fixing an issue is reason enough to take my business elsewhere. read more

I recently visited the PetSmart at Suwanee/ Johns Creek location to purchase goldfish and had a very disappointing experience. The manager on duty refused to sell any fish, stating it was due to the Persian New Year. If this is a legitimate company-wide policy, I fully respect and understand that. However, the issue was not the policy itself -- it was the way it was handled, which was absolutely disrespectful. The manager's attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. She did not take the time to clearly explain the situation or answer questions. Instead, she walked away mid-conversation and made no effort to assist me further. As a customer, I felt ignored and disrespected. Good customer service is not just about policies -- it's about communication and respect. Even when denying a request, staff should be courteous, transparent, and willing to engage. I hope this feedback is taken seriously by the corporate heads , and that additional training is provided to ensure customers are treated with professionalism, regardless of the situation and their race. read more

I think the picture speaks for itself. Groomer didn't listen to any of the instructions we gave and the pictures we provided. Instead he gave the dog a "bichon cut" and said this was standard for the breed. This dog is 1/8 bichon and 7/8 poodle. In addition, when she started reverse sneezing, the groomer was rude and asked what she was doing. The groomer seemed unknowledgeable and uncaring, and I will not be using this specific groomer again. read more

GROOMERS HAVE NO CARE AND PATIENCE AND ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My 1 year old 9 pound toy poodle came in for grooming. About 20 mins after I left the store I got a call back saying that they have to discontinue the grooming because my dog became way too "excited." Granted I am aware that the groomers safety is important especially for a 9 lb toy poodle (I can only imagine how threatening he must be to a professional groomer). But the condition in which I received my dog was just DEPLORABLE. His hair was still falling off of him when I received him. They didn't even care to brush him off. It was very much "take your dog and leave." If I could have left a negative 5 star review I would have left a negative 10. read more

We normally go to the PetSmart in Tucker for grooming and general things, but when my dog needed his nails trimmed (and a good bath) we jumped at the same-day open appointment at this location. This is probably what I would expect for a more city-like experience of a PetSmart. The grooming department was a little chaotic... the guy who checked us in was literally grooming a dog with one hand and doing our paperwork with the other. Jasmin was our groomer and she did a nice job. His nails weren't cut as short as I would have liked but Charlie came back looking and smelling great. Since Charlie only gets a bath, tooth brush, etc. and no haircut, it usually takes 45 minutes to an hour. However, here it took a full 3 hours. They did warn me about that and promised to call with a 30-minute heads up, which she did. She asked us to choose his bandana design and the one we wanted was in the back, but she took the extra step of going to get it on the other side of the store. The checkout lines were really long and most times only one register was open. The cashiers were eating and chatting amongst themselves. And when I went to pick up Charlie, there was a man with a dog running loose who was loudly complaining to himself and others about something that had happened at the groomers that caused him to not pay and therefore be banned from other PetSmarts. Buyer Beware, wife and I went to check on a ball python that we were concerned about 2 weeks ago when we stopped in. i asked the manager nicely if she could please check the feeding chart on this very malnourished Snake. she was more concerned about closing the store. she was extremely rude. she said she was trying to close and only had 2 employees. we noticed several employees just hanging out or walking around to kill time. saw the gentleman that I spoke with the other week that was able to tell me date of last feeding. Manager got on me for asking him nicely if he could check. apparently she doesn't care much for the animals that depend on her and her employees. the snake in question is about the age of my male that hatched 9/2/24 but way smaller and thin as a worm. these people should be ashamed. I was willing to rescue but they weren't interested. they wanted full price which was already over priced since they were calling a normal fancy. read more

So I took my 8-month-old Yorkiepoo to be groomed at this location today and let me start by saying it was a nightmare and the biggest mistake I have made since becoming a dog mom. It's been a little less than 2 months since my baby was last groomed, and she was a little matted but not to the point they had to cut her like a shaved bird. They shaved all of her hair off to the point where you can see her skin, it's uneven and in some spots it looks as if she nipped her down to her skin. Around her face is the only place she has left her hair, and it's uneven, her ears are chopped up. This is totally unacceptable and disturbing. Since I picked my baby up earlier, she has been acting down. My daughter and I are so disappointed with the results of this appointment and sad to say I will never step foot back in there and allow them to touch my baby ever. I'm unsure of who trained or certified the groomers, but they need to go back to training and try it again. It's no way possible you all charged me that kind of money and played in me and my baby's face. They need to shut that mf'er down, and I mean shut it down quick, fast & in a hurry! My baby will probably be traumatized forever after this terrible experience. I will not be able to get over this. It makes me sad and disturbs my spirit every time I look at my baby. Petsmart grooming department y'all have to do better and get better staff who knows what they're doing, and are passionate about their job. read more

One of the worst pet stores I've been to in awhile. This pet smart is severely neglecting their fish. All of the tanks are covered in algae, it would take them less than an hour to clean them. While they have quite a few tanks they hardly have and fish available. There were 2-4 dead fish in every other tank. The betta fish... were the most neglected of all the fish. Which is impressive as they are very low maintenance. Multiple dead bettas. All the glow bettas had algae in their cups, including some of the regular bettas. Some of the cups look like they hadn't been changed in some time as they were murky. One betta fish was even living in the blue water they are shipped out to the stores in!!! It was horrible. This petsmart should not be allowed to continue selling fish in the current state its in. Animals should not be treated so poorly. For a store that claims to care about animals they sure don't seem like they could give a single hoot about any of the aquatic animals they sell. They are viewed as products before living beings there. I sincerely hope they make some much needed changes, until then i will not being buying anything from petsmarts establishments. If you care for aquatic life i would encourage you to visit fish stores that care about their fish rather than continue to go to this location out of convenience. read more

PetSmart is the worst pet store I have ever been to. NEVER go to PetSmart for fish. I bought 3 fish and a starter tank and kit (this was my first time) and we couldn't get the fish because the bacterias were supposed to mix "for one day" as the worker said. Well, the next morning, THE FISH DIED!!!!!!! We went back with the dead fish and a different worker, one that KNEW, said that the bacterias should have mixed for 2 WEEKS before adding the fish. The management will not assist those people when unmasked and belligerent customers will not yield space for others and in fact verbally attack their another customer. The manager Jason is not rude, simply inept. The manager April is disrespectful, rude and nasty to the point of abusive toward those asking for assistance. And, no matter how loyal a customer, the extent to which they will go was appalling. I walked in this evening first time I've ever done a in store pick up so I walked to the register and the nice cashier directed me where to go which was a few feet away. I saw my name taped to a bag and picked up the bag and opened it to double check making sure everything was in my bag and my order was right while doing this an employee walked up and asked was that my name clearly it is if I'm looking threw it but I simply responded yes and left the store with my items. With the Covid virus going back up in Atlanta I was shocked to go to PetSmart and find that hardly any of the employees and only a few of the customers were wearing masks, and the store was quite busy. I will never shop there again! Other stores are much better about maintaining a safe environment and this particular PetSmart obviously doesn't care about the safety of their customers. read more

DO NOT BRING YOUR ANIMAL - ABUSE!!!!!!!!! They hire unqualified teenagers who don't like dogs. I had one amazing groomer named Eljay(sp?) who my dog loves but he isn't always there. I ran into four young tattooed teenagers that complained about who should groom. They also complained my dog was "too big" at 80lbs. My dog has NEVER bitten a groomer and was always patient with vets and caretakers. I shouldn't have assumed they knew what they were doing. It breaks my heart. They spent over 30 minutes holding onto him while I went to a next door grocery and when I came back NOTHING was done. No nails cut, no cleaning, no phone call to me while I was waiting. My dog was terrified and they blamed him for biting even though this has never happened with the countless other groomers I have used. When I left the groomers he was LIMPING!!!!! I had to go to the vet immediately after. I strongly believe they ABUSED my dog in the 30 minutes I was gone. When I arrived he had his head in a corner with his tail between his legs. Again, he LIMPED back to the car. I'm sorry boy, I won't make the same mistake again. I had to take him to the vet immediately after and had a professional groom and clip his nails. My main reason for raving about this particular Petsmart? The grooming salon. Yes, my four-lb dog gets his fancy on every few weeks and this is the best spot for it! The people grooming Mr. Big are the most personable and dog-friendly of any Petsmart I've taken him to, and by far the most consistent with their results. They do all kinds of dogs - big, small, lots of fur, minimal hair, you get the idea - and I've never been less than pleased with how he turns out. They're good with detail, like cleaning ears well and actually trimming his nails so you can really tell. Plus, they're always good about actually calling you to tell you when your animal is ready rather than making you guess or call them! read more

Very disappointed in the grooming salon and how things have transpired with the last two appointments I made for my dog. With both instances, I did not receive a confirmation call or text reminding me of the visit, as I've always received previously. It's frustrating because this hasn't been an issue in the past and suddenly it is. Then when I called to express my frustrations, I was brushed off with no solution as to why I wasn't receiving reminder calls. After attempting to do a water change on a fish tank I was babysitting for the filter was humming but not producing any water. I went to some other pet stores and no one was able to help me except to suggest buying an entirely new filter system. In a last ditch effort I went to pet smart and met Britt who was very knowledgeable about fish and fish tanks and although my pictures were pretty blurry and I did not know how to describe what was happening well, she told me that I just needed a new cartridge and explained how to adjust the flow to help it run better. Within seconds of the new cartridge everything was working as normal!!! After a morning of frustration and wanting to keep these pets alive, Britt saved the day!!!! read more

I would give zero stars if I could for the Grooming Salon. They have the worst attitude like they can't be bothered to do real work and give you a line of excuses of things they may not do well. Then you get your dog back with no hygiene trim whatsoever and nails that are still long and not smoothed out even though you paid for all the extra packages to have it all done. They should all be fired and replaced with people who actually care about dogs and their services. They acted like the dogs in there disgusted them to handle and almost let a tiny poodle fall and choke himself while acting like "oops oh well" about it. They complained about having to wait for a customer to come get their dog because they just didn't want to hold a leash. I have never seen such an unmotivated group of people getting PAID to do a job they could care less about. There are plenty of people out there needing work that could replace easily! However, the reason for this 0 start review is for there unprofessional employee John. I'm not sure of his last name, but he was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I called to get a ETA on my dog. He answers the phone talking to the people in his background, instead of asking me to hold on. Then he continues his conversation as if I'm not on the phone. So I then repeat my self a little louder due to the loud background . He says " you don't have to yell". I replied "I'm not as your background is too loud". As we walked in, three guys are standing there not saying a word. My dog was very excited so I calmed him down. When I looked up and said that my dog only needs a bath and his ears cleaned, the associate rolled his eyes and said, I have nobody here until 5 and now it's 1! I was speechless and walked out. This review is specifically for the trainer, David. Five months ago, I adopted a darling, little, three year old mini schnauzer, who was rescued from a puppy mill and put into a shelter. Given her past, she was rightfully terrified of everything. Fast forward three months into having her as part of my family, and she blossomed into quite the little lovebug, whom still had a fledgling confidence. I ran into David in PetSmart one day, as Addison was wagging her tail at the gated cats, wanting to play. I had been thinking about starting training with Addi, to both boost her self-confidence, and strengthen our relationship. He was great with answering my questions, and listening to my hesitations (she wasn't really food motivated, so would she respond to anything?), so much so that I signed up for class that day. The six week beginner training class was fantastic, and David is an absolute wonderful asset to this PetSmart. He would take time to ask me specifically about Addi's progression, and make recommendations for how to alter the training he was teaching to fit her different needs. Addi blossomed in this class - the first week she was nervous around both dogs and humans, ignoring all treats offered to her, and still terrified of the leash. By the end she was sitting, laying down, responding to my calls, ignoring the leash, and walking up to everyone in the class (both humans and dogs alike). I can't say enough about David, he cares for every single class member (human and dog), and works with you to make the training work. Addi and I will definitely be attending more of David's training in the future! read more

This PetSmart location offers zero customer service. Every time I go shopping there, I have to wait in the always-long check-out line just to get help locating a specific product. Too bad PetSmart employees don't wander around the floor, asking customers if they need assistance. Plus, there always is only one check-out line in operation, despite the numerous cashiers that could be used to clear out the line. I do appreciate that at the bottom of my receipts, there usually is a website where I can fill out a survey about my PetSmart experience and then get a $2 off coupon code. I have been taking my dog to the Petsmart in Buckhead for grooming and they have always done a great job. I recently moved to Midtown so I decided to take her to the one on Ponce. Long story short they cut the hair on her face completely crooked. One side was much longer than the other, I'm not sure how they didn't notice, unless they didn't even look at the finished product. I guess I'll be going back to the one in Buckhead. I hate to pay $50+ for my tiny dogs haircut, I don't even pay that for myself. I had a 9am appointment, but they didn't even bathe my dog until noon. That is unacceptable. I eventually went to go get her at 2:20pm with the intent of taking her no matter what state she was in. Luckily she was done. That was 5.5 hours after I dropped her off. Please know that the groomer, Eljay?, who did take care of my dog was prompt, polite and did excellent work. He clearly did the entire job in 2.5 hours. Whoever had the 9-12 shift dropped the ball. Also, the person you book online isn't the one you get later. Normally I would tip, but I was so angry today I could barely compliment the work done on my collie. Oh yeah, and there was a woman grooming at a table at the time I picked up my dog, she was rude saying a gruff "Hello!?" Like I was rude for stepping into the customer service area to wait for my dog. "Did you pay?" "Oh" seriously? My first experience here was wonderful, the second was slow and average quality. This third is just cruel to my dog due to the morning people, but a good groom. read more
