    how we picked her up

I think the picture speaks for itself. Groomer didn't listen to any of the instructions we gave and the pictures we provided. Instead he gave the dog a "bichon cut" and said this was standard for the breed. This dog is 1/8 bichon and 7/8 poodle. In addition, when she started reverse sneezing, the groomer was rude and asked what she was doing. The groomer seemed unknowledgeable and uncaring, and I will not be using this specific groomer again.

GROOMERS HAVE NO CARE AND PATIENCE AND ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. My 1 year old 9 pound toy poodle came in for grooming. About 20 mins after I left the store I got a call back saying that they have to discontinue the grooming because my dog became way too "excited." Granted I am aware that the groomers safety is important especially for a 9 lb toy poodle (I can only imagine how threatening he must be to a professional groomer). But the condition in which I received my dog was just DEPLORABLE. His hair was still falling off of him when I received him. They didn't even care to brush him off. It was very much "take your dog and leave." If I could have left a negative 5 star review I would have left a negative 10.

I wish I could give y'all 0 stars. So I took my 8-month-old Yorkiepoo to be groomed at this location today and let me start by saying it was a nightmare and the biggest mistake I have made since becoming a dog mom. It's been a little less than 2 months since my baby was last groomed, and she was a little matted but not to the point they had to cut her like a shaved bird. They shaved all of her hair off to the point where you can see her skin, it's uneven and in some spots it looks as if she nipped her down to her skin. Around her face is the only place she has left her hair, and it's uneven, her ears are chopped up. This is totally unacceptable and disturbing. Since I picked my baby up earlier, she has been acting down. My daughter and I are so disappointed with the results of this appointment and sad to say I will never step foot back in there and allow them to touch my baby ever. I'm unsure of who trained or certified the groomers, but they need to go back to training and try it again. It's no way possible you all charged me that kind of money and played in me and my baby's face. They need to shut that mf'er down, and I mean shut it down quick, fast & in a hurry! My baby will probably be traumatized forever after this terrible experience. I will not be able to get over this. It makes me sad and disturbs my spirit every time I look at my baby. Petsmart grooming department y'all have to do better and get better staff who knows what they're doing, and are passionate about their job.

Betta fish still living in shipping water.

One of the worst pet stores I've been to in awhile. This pet smart is severely neglecting their fish. All of the tanks are covered in algae, it would take them less than an hour to clean them. While they have quite a few tanks they hardly have and fish available. There were 2-4 dead fish in every other tank. The betta fish... were the most neglected of all the fish. Which is impressive as they are very low maintenance. Multiple dead bettas. All the glow bettas had algae in their cups, including some of the regular bettas. Some of the cups look like they hadn't been changed in some time as they were murky. One betta fish was even living in the blue water they are shipped out to the stores in!!! It was horrible. This petsmart should not be allowed to continue selling fish in the current state its in. Animals should not be treated so poorly. For a store that claims to care about animals they sure don't seem like they could give a single hoot about any of the aquatic animals they sell. They are viewed as products before living beings there. I sincerely hope they make some much needed changes, until then i will not being buying anything from petsmarts establishments. If you care for aquatic life i would encourage you to visit fish stores that care about their fish rather than continue to go to this location out of convenience.

I have recently become a fish person after buying a 37 gallon tank and stand at a good sales price. After arranging my tank and allowing my filter to cycle through I was ready for fish. The young lady at this Petsmart helped me choose an array of fish. And the cashier was pleasant. My tank is so beautiful now. I am happy with my new friends.

I, myself, a novice, not a trainer, had been using a prong collar. I was jarred when she used the prong to correct my 10 month old puppy, and said he was in shock because she kept snapping the leash. That was a bit too much for me. However, when I asked the trainer what method they used, and I was told the LIMA method. I was confused as to why corrections with tools were being used. After reaching out to a few trainers, this is what I have found about the LIMA METHOD; There are technically 2 views on what this term means. The original definition has a hierarchy of things that must be done before going to usage of tools of discomfort such as prong collars and the like. The newer more common conversation has left the hierarchy behind and does not allow for use of such tools at all. So I was definitely not understanding why the trainer seem led to be using the prong as a crutch to train. I was only using it for walking, and eventually would have liked to not use a prong collar at all. The trainer was definitely professional, but using tools to walk, place, sit, basically give any command was not something I was interested in. At one point when she kept snapping the leash on my youngest puppy, teaching him place I expressed that I had taught my other puppy how to be in place without doing that. My hope was that they would see if I can do it without snapping, a leash and a prong collar on the dog that they can do it too but the same behavior kept happening. I also let the trainer know that my other pup would bite if you tried to take food away that he found on the street, but we were not using that scenario at all when training. Since I am not a trainer, I can only go by what other trainers have told me. They have told me that unless I have aggressive dogs that are biting or trying to hurt others that prong collars are really an antiquated tool as is the e collar. Definitely no hard feelings. Just not the training method for me.

His training was fear based and did not help with either problem. A year later my large dog started attacking my smaller dog. A week later when muzzle was removed, she attacked my smaller dog and seriously injured him. Tried to contact Mike and he ghosted me stating he didn't know me. I had to put my large dog down and the injuries to my small dog was over $3,000. I contacted the Bark Buster's corporate office and they responded with an apology. I asked for a refund since I felt like the training was an epic fail. I used all of their ridiculous BAH... techniques and it was a bust. They also ghosted me.....DO NOT USE THEM! ***LONG REVIEW BUT WORTH THE READ***…read more This is my sweet, rowdy, rambunctious, and very demanding pup Rhodi! As a first time puppy owner, I just wanted to keep her happy. I let her get away with a lot! I quickly realized that I was not in charge of her but she was in charge of me. What I thought was being sweet was in Rhodi's mind "I can do whatever I want because I won't be punished for it." She would chew any object she could find, bark at me constantly when I wasn't doing what she wanted, would not listen to me when I would call her name, jumped on me and other people, tried to escape out the front door, and peed in the house. I watched videos upon videos but nothing helped! I was doing research on dog trainers and the first thing I thought was "this is so overpriced!" As a young college student with a rowdy dog, I was determined to find the best price with the most qualified trainer and I did! Bark Busters and specifically Cody are the best thing I could have done for both me and Rhodi. I was really nervous about having someone in my home "telling" me how to train my dog, but Cody TAUGHT me. If there was something I was struggling with, like leash training, he showed me an alternative way for me to get her to listen to me. The thought in my mind was "wow, he's not making me do it this way because it's the right way, but he found me a way that was Rhodi's right way I could do confidently." Cody was validating my feelings about not wanting to hurt Rhodi's feelings and continued to talk to me about ways that would not harm my dog or hurt her feelings. Simply being able to "talk" to Rhodi in a way she could understand that I was in charge and that she would still be safe and okay was the goal. In a matter of 2 hours Rhodi was trained! Cody did his job and now it's my turn to do mine with her by following through with the keys to success only Cody could have given to me.

And realized I owe this fantastic person a review. A very long story short, in 2015 I found myself in temporary housing after a move back to Atlanta to start a new job. It was a very difficult situation with two rescue dogs that suffered from anxiety/separation issues. The day prior my daytime pet arrangements had fallen through. I also had work travel imminent. I was in a panic and massively stressed. The same day I called Karen, she showed up to meet me and the two pups. They took to her immediately, even my ultra scared/shy guy who shivered and shook around people. She confidentially handled them, kindly calmed my anxiety over the situation and had it under control. She could double as a therapist!!! The next day while I was at work all went totally fine with their walk. I even received text photos with details of how it went. The pups were happy, I was relieved of stress and life suddenly became simpler. For simplicity sake I've glossed over a very trying and rough time in life. But for Karen and her team it would not have turned out so well. With a world of gratitude and thanks, I HIGHLY recommend.

After picking her up last week after a standard groom, I noticed she was acting odd and showing discomfort. As the hours progressed, excessive gagging and coughing occurred and she was noticeably more uncomfortable. I took her to the emergency vet over the weekend and explained the symptoms plus groomer situation. Upon assessment, they identified a significant and large bruise across her chest/arm plus what they indicated was likely trauma to her trachea. Bloodwork confirmed muscle trauma. Their indication was the same as my instincts - something bad happened at the groomer. As we evaluated it, it was hard to understand how her injuries would align with an accident or an unknown incident. The groomer did not share that anything went awry during the visit and acted like all was okay at pickup. I will not be taking her back.

I had a very disappointing experience at Animal House and will not be returning…read more When I first started bringing my two small dogs, my bill was typically under $100 for both of them, which included a bath and haircut. Over time, the prices kept increasing without any clear explanation. At one point they began adding a $15 "dematting" fee, even when my dogs were regularly groomed. Recently the cost climbed to $130-$140, so I started asking for a breakdown of the charges. Unfortunately, the staff seemed irritated whenever I asked basic questions about pricing. There is no posted price list and no transparency about how they calculate the final bill. During my most recent visit, I had already combed my dogs before arriving. The employee at the front desk used a small comb on my dog's legs in a way that would naturally create tangles and then claimed there would be a dematting charge. I told him if they planned to charge that fee, I would rather take my dogs somewhere else. He took the dogs to the back and returned saying there would be no dematting charge, but added that if the dogs cried or had to be corrected during grooming there could be additional fees. I had never been told about that policy before. When I came back to pick them up, I was told the total was $75 per dog. When I asked for a breakdown of what the $75 included, the employee became extremely hostile and began yelling at the top of his lungs at me simply for asking about the charges. Even after asking multiple times, he could not provide any clear explanation of the pricing. Another concern I've had over time is that on more than one occasion my dogs came home with small cuts or what appeared to be bruising. I did not notice these issues until after we left. I cannot say exactly how it happened, but it raises concerns about whether the dogs are being properly supervised or handled during grooming. As a customer, I believe it is reasonable to ask for a breakdown of services being charged. Instead, I was met with hostility and extremely unprofessional behavior. Because of the lack of transparency in pricing, the concerns about how my dogs were handled, and the way I was treated when asking simple questions, I will not be returning and would caution others to be aware before bringing their pets here.
