This pic is at the vet's after my dog was at Animal House Buckhead.

!!!! ANIMAL HOUSE BUCKHEAD WAS MORE LIKE "ANIMAL HELL" FOR US !!!! THEY SENT MY DOG HOME WITH A BLEEDING, OOZING HOLE IN HER HEAD, WERE DISHONEST AND TRIED TO COVER IT UP !!!! **If you're considering this facility I'd encourage you to read this. I believe it illustrates a tremendous lack of good judgement, integrity and compassion.** GIVING THEM ONE STAR IS ONE STAR TOO MANY, BUT NO STARS ISN'T AN OPTION. I brought my dog to Animal House Buckhead to be groomed on May 24, 2023. It was her first time there. My dog has no aggression, she is a calm, sweet and well behaved/trained senior rescue dog who I've had since she was a puppy. I was told she was excellent during the grooming, which is typical. They also complimented her on having a beautiful coat with no mats. Upon pickup Justin told me they didn't clip her as short as I asked and said they would next time. She also was an express groom and they kept her for over 3+ hours. She usually takes 60-90 minutes. The dots will start to connect shortly. After my dog's grooming was complete and we were nearly home I put my hand on her head to pet her and my hand was all wet, her hair was saturated in blood and she was oozing from her head. I immediately turned around and rushed to my vet's office. My vet is two minutes from the groomer's, I could've likely been to the vet 30 minutes sooner had I been told my dog had an open wound. On the way to the vet I called the groomer and asked what happened. Justin wouldn't get on the phone but relayed through his brother, Jason, that he told me about the wound, which is 100% FALSE. I would've gone directly to the vet had I known. Did they think I wouldn't notice my dog bleeding/oozing from her head?? My hubby was traveling and when he found out about this he was furious. He called the groomer and said six words, "I'm trying to control my fury," at which time they readily admitted that I wasn't told what happened, that they should've told me and that they'd cover vet bills. The vet bill was $800+ and I already paid it. The groomers paid the vet directly who then reimbursed us. The groomers hurriedly tried to do the right thing but ONLY after they lied, gave zero disclosure about what happened and made choices to deny my dog immediate and proper wound care FOR HOURS. They didn't prioritize my dog's health the same way they scurried to preserve the health of their jobs/business. At least that's my observation. We still don't have an understanding of what actually happened, why I wasn't notified of what happened stat (or at all, for that matter) and why they continued grooming a dog with an open wound which was a Petri dish for bacteria. They later said they nicked a cyst she had, which I made them aware of, but her cyst is fine, completely intact. This wound has nothing to do with her cyst and is approximately 2" from the cyst. To think we wouldn't notice the wound is asinine. To not bring it to our attention so we could immediately get our dog treatment is unconscionable. I can't even fathom how anyone could send a dog home with a bleeding/oozing open wound without saying a SINGLE WORD about it. They didn't tell me when it happened. They didn't tell me when they called and said she was ready to be picked up. They didn't tell me when I picked her up. NOT A SINGLE WORD ABOUT IT WAS SAID. **Daycare dogs are mixed in the room with dogs being groomed, getting up on tables. It's chaotic. It was suggested this could be a bite wound. Nearly two weeks have passed, I have yet to hear from the owner,, "Ms. Kim." I'm sharing this because, in the same way that we expect our healthcare providers to do no harm to us and for us to be better when we leave than when we got there, we should have the same expectations of our pet practitioners. We all make mistakes but how we respond to the mistakes is an indication of our integrity and priorities. They made a mistake by injuring my dog and then compounded it by not telling us. Unless you're okay with this treatment for your dog(s), I wouldn't recommend going to Animal House Buckhead.

    Yorkies with great hair !

We have been going here for 5 years . They truly care and have been very accommodating each time my Yorkie had TPLO surgery and we just needed a few things here and there until he could have a full groom again .

Nicked/scraped my dogs under arm. No mention of injury.. this after "7 hours" of grooming to "carefully remove matting". Animal house you should be ashamed of how you handled our dog

I brought my pomchi here and they did a great job! The staff was very friendly and super sweet with my dog. When I came in to get her, I could see her running around and she looked very happy. Her haircut was exactly how I wanted it, too. No complaints about this place!

I would NOT recommend this groomer. After I picked up my dog and drove home two minutes away, I noticed they cut the skin under her eye. Accidents happen, so I called back to ask what happened and why no one informed me when I picked her up. The son told me they would cover the vet bill and his mom would call me. I never heard back and had to reach out a few days later. When I called back, the mother told me I did it and refused to cover the bill. Had they taken ownership of the mistake I would have felt differently. Surely I would not spend $70 to groom a 20 pound dog and then take clippers to her face two minutes after myself. Terrible customer service.

Let me put it this way:…read more This place ain't about to give your dog some pedicure or give it a facial scrub. There's no nonsense, no pretense, and that's the best part. Alejandro just does his magic--all size puppies/dogs and non-neutered dogs too. Your dog will come out smelling like baby soap with flowing hair. Alejandro does an excellent job explaining what needs to be done to your dog--he will show you why sometimes you just gotta shave your dog instead of getting it shampooed, dematted, etc. He's great with animals, easily communicates and most of all, an awesome groomer. Thanks!

I've been going here for years and it's always been subpar but it's close to my job. The entire underside of his head has long, uneven, janky long patches. Every single piece is uneven with it's counterpart. He left a matt on his face. Random long pieces out of his ears. Random long pieces everywhere. One side of his snout is shaved close and the other isn't. There's shave marks all over his body, and he shaved his ears down. It's a shihtzu, that is not how you cut shihtzu's hair. I own a hair salon, I could have done so much better of a job. This was treated as an all over buzz down, not groomed. This is not a cut, style, or shape this is just a buzzed down hack job. I asked for a refund, he said he would "fix it". There's nothing to fix it's all hacked off. He said he doesn't give refunds, and as a salon owner I know that he could but just doesn't want to. I paid $135 for this for 2 dogs. Atrocious. I've never been amazed here, so this is not dog grooming, this is the dog buzz cut shop. If you don't care what your dog looks like, I guess go here. Oh, and he did not give them a bath, they came back smelling bad. So...just a hacksaw shave all over for $135, not fixable, and no refunds.

To keep my furby fresh and clean between visits I've decided to go to the self-service dog wash now owned and managed by Fur Side. Automated scheduling was easy as pie. Showed up for my appointment and Mary greeted me at the door in PPE. Raised tubs with sprayer mean you don't have to bend over to bath your pooch. There are plastic aprons to keep you dry as possible. The shampoo and conditioner is great and complimentary, along with ear wash. Although I bought my own brushes, there are brushes available for use. Bring your own towels now. It's a safety thing. All in all a great bath away from home. I'll end with this. My Beauregard was freaking out with the sound and feel of the high powered dryer. He dang near killed himself trying to get away from it and I was going to have to leave with a wet poodle. Mary showed absolute mercy and stepped in to help me. I'm not experienced in bathing Beauregard myself so I was not what he wanted or expected. Mary advised and showed me the best way to dry my pooch and make the experience enjoyable for both of us. She gave of her time and herself and we are eternally thankful. P.S. I already had a full service groom scheduled for a future date. This will be Beauregard's first visit to Fur Side.. I'm even happier about this now.
