    Beware of bad groomers.

Brought our Yorkie in for grooming and they gouged her stomach. We were curious as to why it took so long. When I picked her up no one said a word. My wife discovered it Wednesday. I picked her and our dog late Tuesday afternoon. We had been taking our dogs there for some time, but NEVER AGAIN!

Our pups have been to numerous daycare facilities throughout the southern and northern Pacific Western states. RR is definitely top notch by far. If we lived in this area it would be without question to enroll our pups (they're out of control yappers (our fault)). Daanaka was so personable and professional each day we picked them up. Other staff members were great as well. Highly recommend RR!

I was adamant because of the distance and it being winter (it was a 1 hour 40 minute drive both ways) but was struggling to find the kind of training I needed. I found them finally, I was so excited! We set up a phone call and I talked with Ram. I expressed that I have terrible anxiety and my dog would be needing to be trained for service and I have PTSD and Panic disorder. I requested that he would jump on my lap when he knows I'm having anxiety, to ground me and of course his basic knowledge like heeling and no barking for being in public. They agreed and told me everything I needed could be done with them! The start was basic training with him the first couple weeks, which she said he already knew how to sit and go down that I had taught him. When I went to visit and do an exercise with him the owner walked in and Stinger was barking like crazy at him and settled down once he knelt down to pet him. When I picked Stinger up January 16th he was barking uncontrollably when they walked in the building and I could tell Sarah couldn't get him to stop and it went on for a while. My heart sank because the barking was the most important thing that he shows he's behaving and wouldn't disrupt anyone by being my service dog. I have struggled with this most days and it's extremely embarrassing when you're in public and he barks. It's a lot of hospital settings due to appointments and things. I told them what was happening and they said tell him "leave it and snap his collar". That worked for a couple days. I don't think that's safe for his neck either the way Sarah showed me how to do it, it ultimately just scares him and I do not want to hurt or scare my dog when he should just listen to the commands.. Stinger is hairless. He requires clothing to keep him warm. Oct-Nov and Jan training months, I specifically stated he needs to wear his jacket outside. They sent me update pics and he was outside with no jacket each time. They called me and said Stinger has a cough, I was upset immediately and calmly said "have you been putting his jacket on? Because a dog can get a cough being too cold?!" She said the other dogs were puncturing it and that's why he hadn't been wearing it. I then said he has to wear it (AGAIN) and if it gets ruined I'll buy him a new one. Well January with the snow he has boots. I told them he does NOT go outside without these on and he cannot be out there for more then 10-20 minutes. When I went to pick him up the 16th he didn't even have his boots on walking from the kennel to me then we would be leaving. Lots of snow that day. It made me sick to my stomach, like was my dog being neglected of his needs? :'( The second time around when he was boarded for training he was not taught the up command for grounding like requested, she pretended she did but it was very obvious it wasn't trained. I asked for heel to be involved with his training because he must have not caught on to it well the first time around. This was not done. When I went to pick him up she had me play with a toy with him. Zero training. I followed all of the new commands he learned, everything to a T and always asked if I was doing something right. Continued every day and still do try. It's very frustrating :'( There were a lot of things the trainer could have done differently to make the experiences go better than they did. October 20th-November 14th - $2,400 (Picking up the 17th would have been a full 5 weeks). January 5th-16th - $1,700 (Picking up the 19th would have been a full 3 weeks) Training at Menards: November 20th - $75 December 2nd & 16th - $150 Training at McDonalds: February 2nd, 10th, & 23rd - $225

And they refuse to take him any longer. No context, no explanation of what happened, obviously he felt threatened, which makes me wonder what kind of people they have work in there. He is a golden retriever for God sakes, and has never attempted to bite anyone or any other animal in his life, however, somehow, Petco managed to make him do it. So they claim.

Beta fish in cups dead and dying in gross water. Saltwater tanks were horrifying, the ones you could see in anyway. Freshwater tanks gross. Dead fish and snails everywhere. These assholes have a pleco in a 3 gallon tank. The poor turtle was swimming in filthy water with nothing but a rock, trying to get out. The birds are not taken care of. Dead snacks and lizards. The employees wandering around like they have nothing to do and they sure aren't checking out or helping customers. I will shop here again and I will report them to everyone I can think of. This store needs to be shut down immediately. They do not care about any of the animals or fish in their care. Words cannot describe how awful this store is.

We callled the locally more famous pert emergency hospital in Duluth and were told on the phone that there was an 8 hour wait and to take him to Minneapolis. That simply was not a good option as he would clearly require surgery (if he could be saved), including a stay in the hospital and after care...but we love our boy and would have done it, My wife did a little more sleuthing on internet and found Waters Edge urgent care was open that morning so we ruched up there. I had no chance under those circumstances to research and read reviews, I'm glad I did not because the volume of similar petty reviews on this site would likely have scared us off. The vet tech met us at the door and he was wonderful. Very calm, very gentle with our poor scared and wounded kitty and in general a very kind man. Dr Pop, who it turns out is the spouse of this kind man was exactly the same on the kindness and compassion meter...there is no disputing that they both genuinely care about animals. Yes, the price was high...as it will be in any urgent or emergency care facility. That is just a simple truth throughout the healthcare industry. It was not excessive, I did not "shop around" but expect it may have been slightly less at out normal vet; whatever, that just was not an option under the circumstances and I've got no complaint about the charges that were associated with his emergency care. He did need surgery, he had to stay in their hospital for the rest of the weekend which also means Dr. Pop would be providing ongoing care the rest of the weekend, we've since been back for 3 followup visits related to his recovery and there has not been a single added charge, those who suggest excessive or extortionate tactics here are wrong and frankly missing the point. This is a small operation, with the good Dr and her kind husband often working 7 days a week and of course there are expenses to run their business that have to be borne by their customers. A high volume hospital has more customers over which to spread that expense, but was not an option for us given the timing. I gotta stress we have never experienced the genuine and ongoing attention and care that they had for my little guy had at a high volume veterinarian. Dr Pop and her husband are WONDERFUL. Urgent and emergent care will cost you, this is life everywhere. Accept that as a fact of life. the important part is that they were very competent, very kind, very compassionate and they did after all save our little guys life, what is that worth to us? Priceless.

I am appalled at the service here and will never return, would not recommend to anyone.

I recently rescued a dog who has been severely abused and neglected. He is afraid of everything, and I was incredibly nervous about his first grooming experience. But Rascal's blew me away with their compassion and professionalism. The staff took their time with him, showing incredible patience and care. They even tag-teamed the process: one team member held him, comforted him, and spoke kindly while the other carefully trimmed his nails. What could have been a traumatic, one-time-only ordeal turned into a surprisingly positive experience--he actually enjoyed it! I never thought I'd see my dog this calm and happy during grooming. Unlike other groomers in the area, Rascal's truly has heart in what they do. They even have a window where pet parents can watch to see firsthand how ethical and kind they are. It's such a relief knowing my dog is in loving, gentle hands. If you love your dog, this is the place you want them to go. I am a huge fan and will never go anywhere else. Thank you, Rascal's, for being amazing! #Tehya and Miigwan's
