This is the worst experience at a Petsmart I have ever had. Covid has made this establishment lose their minds. Edit: yelp contacted me and said they were going to take this down. I will repost until it's left up. I checked my dog in for a nail trimming and was waiting with my upset (crying) 6 month old. When a manager appeared... Petsmart: Excuse me sir, do you have a mask. Me:"No I don't" Petsmart manager: "you need to leave" Me: "no, you have my dog. I'll gladly leave whenI have him back... Petsmart manager: sir, if you don't have a mask then you need to leave. Me: yeah, not until I get my dog. Petsmart manager: you will need to leave. Me: ok, I'll be glad to leave once I get My dog. Petsmart manager: unless you have a mask you need to leave. Me: I'm not leaving without my dog. Petsmart: he's done now, and We're going to charge you a fee for not wearing a mask. Me: "I don't think so." I have exclusively used petsmart for nutritional and training needs for my dogs and this is how you lose a lifetime customer. read more

No stars. Pets Mart stores in El Paso, TX, mainly the stores on Joe Battle (Montana and Montwood), should be reviewed for inappropriate and unprofessional behavior by management. They did not care that a pet was hurt in their care, while being groomed, and had to be treated twice by the vet for an infection caused by a cut received at the Joe Battle and Montana store. In addition to that horror, the hair cut received by the pup was atrocious. The salon manager, who groomed him and caused the infection, didn't bother placing the shield on the clippers and cut his fur down to the skin. She realized the error, I suppose, then continued to cut without trying to fix the mistakes. My poor pup looked like he had mange. When I tried to take this up to the store manager's attention, he did not care, did not listen, and turned it around on me. I asked if they cared one bit about this poor pup or me, as a 15 year loyal customer with 3 pets. The store manager said he did not. I'm pretty livid. I can't believe Pet's Mart has such low caliber managers. I can't believe Pets Mart would be so unprofessional and uncaring. Beware...if you love your pets, DO NOT have them to the grooming salon at either Joe Battle location, or any Pets Mart for that matter. They've lost me, my pets, and all of the profits these store got from us. read more

This has to be the worst pet smart in El Paso. I highly advice against shopping here for any pets. I went in to buy mulch from this store for my snakes. I stumbled across a leopard gecko with severely stuck shed along with another one in the tank with him. The only reason they did anything for it was because I got on their asses. You guys have no business selling reptiles when you cannot even control the proper husbandry and humidity!!! This poor baby couldn't even open his eyes. This is the 2nd gecko I have seen at this store in terrible condition!!!! I highly advise you shop elsewhere for your animals. On top of this i asked for several things and nothing was in stock as USUAL!! If I could rate this store 0 stars I would!!! Shame on you guys!! read more

Very disappointed, I've been taking my dog to this grooming place for over a year. Last time about three months ago I took her to have all the grooming service. I explained to the groomer that It was about three weeks that my dog had a very difficult surgery; consequently, my dog was acting defensive, but did not do any harm to the staff. Service was quickly denied that time. I call today to make an appointment and was advised the my dog was banned. I try to explain the incident that happened back then and they not even allow me to explain. It is my perception that being this a national company the staff is just not fully committed to provide the service. In fact, I really believed that they look for the most minimum bad reaction your dog may do in order to quickly denied the service and banned your pet. I wish they have given her another chance. read more

PetSmart - The "Agressive" Dog - Pet Training Near Me - EL PASO, Texas

Since August 2019 I have taken my dog to petsmart grooming. From day one Jessica has loved my dog like one of her own. She is very amazing at what's she does. She takes the time to talk to me about anything with my pup. She gives me the good and bad stuff when it comes to my baby. She helps me be better mom as well. Now for almost 2 years petsmart employees have built a bond with both my pups. I have a lab that is very iffy on people and other dogs and they treat her like she the world. Steven (old grooming manager) toke the time after work to work with my lab to be able to get groom and after her left Citaly toke the time to finish what he started. My dog has built an amazing bond with her. Josie and Angie as well have been trying to get that bond with my lab as well and work with her. The staff at this facility is bind amazing. The cashiers even are helping my lab become over her fear. Both my dogs love going in there for any reason. read more

I have been taking my dogs to this petsmart for over 5 years and have not had any problems until now. It had been over a year since my golden retriever had been to the groomer and I had called to make an appointment, however I was told that my dog had been barred from being the groomer for "aggression to other dogs". I spoke to Alexis who was her groomer and I informed her that nowhere was this information relayed to me when i had picked her up at the last appointment and nowhere was it listed on the progress report that was given to me at the last appointment. I asked Alexis for more information regarding this note but she had informed her the past visit note had been "lost because of a system change". And apparently the aggression comment was a "rating", however did not have a time of input nor an author. I was then told by Alexis that my dog would not be allowed to receive grooming services at Petsmart. Overall, I felt the whole situation was quite dismissive and I'm dissapointed because I was comfortable with the staff for few years. I will have to take my business elsewhere. read more
