Highly recommend their pet training program, it is totally worth the investment for the whole family to learn how to properly train your dog. They repeatedly canceled my appointments and offered no help or solutions. Save your time and go elsewhere. Also heard from friends that the grooming here is a waste of money anyway because no one knows what they're doing. read more

I just paid over $50 to have my dogs nails trimmed and filed, bathed and brushed and teeth brushed. She came home and her nails are still sharp like they never got trimmed and they didn't brush her! I get they are busy but the quality of grooming for what I paid was not good! Will be looking elsewhere read more

Staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't bring my dog in, but each staff person I interacted with asked me the breed and seemed genuinely interested. The store seemed a little smaller than other locations, but it was still stocked well. All areas were clean and the environment was pleasant. read more

I came here today to purchase an aquarium. I had a couple of questions, to ask. I saw that there was a woman with a petsmart uniform on I asked for her help, she quickly looked at me and then she walked away. I thought that maybe she didn't hear me, so I went down the aisle, and she was gone like the wind. I kept looking for aquariums, with no help. The area was clean, but there were items in the wrong places. I had to ask the cashier lady to scan the items I was interested in. It was a really odd situation to be in as the atmosphere was not welcoming when I came in. I probably won't come back. But they missed out on a sale. :( read more

If I could give a zero I would. Worst grooming experience ever. It's easier to list the things that they did do and that was the hygiene shave. She was not bathed, ears, and tail we're not done, she was not trimmed. It was overall a horrible experience. She was limping and was squatting funny to go to the bathroom for several days. I had to take her back and have a different groomer trim her. I paid around 100 bucks for a hygiene, shave and trim. Total waste of money. read more

Friendly customer service is NOT something that you will find if you visit this Petsmart....Especially if you find a mistake and are overcharged by almost $100!!! Not to mention if you happen to be there on a weekend and it's getting close to their closing time, I mean it was 7:00 PM and they close at 9:00 PM, shame on us for visiting so late. We were purchasing items from a sale that clearly was not entered into their system, possibly no fault of the employees we were dealing with, but they didn't seem to care at all. When we kindly asked for them to adjust our prices to match the sales tags we were ignored and left to prove the prices ourselves. After visiting the shelves and taking photos of the sales tags then waiting 10 minutes for the one employee to check out the other people in line, she finally rolled her eyes and rudely asked us what was overcharged. She begins the refund process and explains to us that the price for one item could not be changed by her, then when asked if there was someone who could authorize the change, she storms off. Well that's when we got to meet the next super helpful and friendly employee, The Manager...WOW...she basically looked at us in disgust and told her employee that if she REALLY needed her to call her after approving the price change the employee couldn't approve. Basically the manager had better things to do and was equally friendly The amount of rude body language, eye rolls and irritation these employees gave us makes me understand why people rather buy from Amazon. Ohhhh and let me tell you what...after my refund was so rudely dealt with...IT STILL WASN'T CORRECT!!! read more

Holy animal options... toys, beds, health/wellness products, grooming, leashes, treats... the list is never ending! Love the variety of products, love the helpfulness of the staff. The environment is clean & inviting. The only complaint I have is pricing on certain products. I bought a nifty tri-pod/frisbee-ish looking toy for $10. Figured it was perfect for the teething little pup I have on my hands. Go to a different store, the same day & found the SAME toy, SAME brand for $4.99 then the store was having a sale on pet supplies on that toy/brand (buy one get one 50%). Lets just say I was a little upset, I mean I could have purchased two toys for the price of one that I paid for. We still love you though PetSmart! read more

I couldn't believe how crazy fun it was in Pet Smart when I went there! Although that may be due to all of the acid I dropped in the parking lot. I ate some cat food and put a Guinea pig in my pants. There was this squeaky dog toy that looked like a banana, but with a hat. It made me laugh. I don't remember this part, but the responding officer said I was crying about the banana by the time he arrived. The arrest report said I was so high that I used the back seat of the patrol car as a toilet but, in my defense, I would have probably done that anyway. Im not allowed within 100 yds. of the store now, but it was worth it!! My only regret is putting that Guinea pig down my pants. He hurt me terribly. read more

My dog's haircut was actually great, what ruined the experience for me was the poor customer service. The attitude and lack of friendliness on the part of the stylist is what will cause me to never return. Maybe they should learn something about not being rude to customers. read more

Staff is always very friendly and they have a great selection. We bring our dog here for baths a brush.

I have gone to this PetSmart a few times now. The place is very clean and organized. My dog also loves going there. They have all the basic things for your pups. They also offer grooming, but not sure how that is. read more

Stopped here yesterday to buy food for our bearded dragon. We've been feeding him crickets, meal worms, and lettuce and have tried yams and other recommended fruits and vegetables, but were afraid he needed something more in his diet. I had just walked in and started down the front aisle when a female employee asked people behind me if she could help them. They said no, so I turned to ask if she could help me find the best food for our beardie. She was talking a mile a minute almost like a robot playing recordings. I was having trouble following what she was saying, and I'm an English professor accustomed to being around her age group. We walked to the aisle with the food, and the one she recommended was out of stock. So I bought a different brand after picking up the containers and reading the ingredients list, as well as another type of food and another type of worms she suggested. I followed her to the back area of the store where she went into a refrigerator to get the worms, and we were next to the aquariums of fish for sale. Perfect! I also wanted to buy a couple of new fish for our aquarium. I asked her to recommend colorful fish for a freshwater tank. Again, she was rattling on so fast I could barely catch what she was saying. It seemed to me that she was trying to ditch me and go do something else. But I wanted to get a couple of fish, and would need her to fish them out of the tanks. She was in this mad rush, and I was trying to follow what she said so I knew which tanks had the fish that were the best options for our tank and other fish. She never suggested any fish as I'd asked. So I kept trying to find something with color that was non-aggressive, and when I asked about a couple, she told me the ones I selected were wrong, because they weren't the right color-coded "bubble" on the identification card on the tank the fish was in. I asked about a couple of different fish, she said no, they were wrong because of this, again, talking at a speed of approximately 120 mph so I struggled to get what she was saying. After just a few minutes of this back and forth "I won't suggest a fish that will work for the customer who wants to buy one, and my goal is to leave her and go do something else instead of helping this paying customer who already has an armload of items I suggested" vs. me saying, "Well, can you suggest one that WILL work?" - then she babbled, "Let US know when you find something. I'm going to go help other customers" and walked away. What the heck was THAT?! Then there was one register with the light on. I gave up on the fish after Robo-Girl made it clear she was NOT going to help me find something that would work and went to pay for my bearded dragon food. I went to the one register that was open. There was no one at the register. A girl walked up a minute or two later and said I had to pick up my things and follow her from register 2 to register 1 because her manager had asked her to move to that register. Normally, not a big deal, but after dealing with the first employee, this was just that one straw that tipped the wagon over. PetSmart is currently opening a new location in Holland, closer to where I live on the lakeshore. They're in the same parking lot as a Pet Supplies Plus where I already shop and where the employees are helpful. I won't be going to the PetSmart opening near me after today's experience. read more

This petsmart location is wonderful. I'm usually pretty skeptical about pet stores in general, but this one is always clean and the staff are very friendly. I have bought fish and a bird here and have just no complaints at all. The bird was obviously the bigger of the two purchases. I bought my Jenday conure here. He is a friendly and happy bird, no behavior or health issues. The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They knew what kind of toys he liked, what kind of food, what treats he'd tried and what ones he hadn't, when his last beak/nail trim was. They gave me contact info for the vet they were taking him, take home instructions from the vet, and a birth certificate showing his hatch date and vaccinations/dates. I was really blown away by how much they seemed to really care. It really put me at ease when purchasing a more expensive animal. I went back with my bird several months later to get a travel carrier and the staff recognized him immediately and remembered which carrier they had used to transport him. I've also gotten my dog groomed here and had a great experience. They did a great job for less than a lot of other grooming places in the area. So as far as Petsmarts go, this one gets an A+ from me! read more

This place lacks enthusiasm. All of their employees look like they hate their lives, and it's shitty customer service. They should probably put more people in the fish area as well, since only having one person back there takes 20 minutes just to wait for one fish. They told me I didn't know how to care for pets, when asking for an algae eater for my daycare fish tanks. They also had a dead turtle in there tank as they proceed to tell me I don't know how to care for pets. Very unprofessional. read more

I stopped in after work around 8 to get some stuff for my puppy I adopted today and one of the staff members (wish i knew his name! tall guy, kind of seemed like the manager but not sure) was super friendly and helpful! He asked me what I was looking for and I said dog food, and he asked if i had a specific brand and i told him i had no idea because i jus adopted my puppy today. He gave me many options for puppy food and brands he recommended and that he uses for his dog that he also adopted from the humane society. A couple minutes later he came back up to me to give me an adoption starter kit with coupons even though they usually need papers to give them out! Also the cashier was super helpful with helping me pick out what coupons i could use and wasn't annoyed that i was using more than one coupon even though there were a couple customers waiting behind me. Very nice and very helpful especially for it being an hour before close. I work in customer service and know how annoying that can be. read more

I've always had good experiences at Pet Smart, but Brandon @ the Grandville location was simply over the top. My wife & I were trying to buy dog food and the shelf was empty. I asked Brandon if they had any in back to which he said "no" but instead of leaving it there, he grabbed 3 smaller bags of the food we needed, went up front, and priced them to get us our type & size at a fairly large discount.
