Dropped my dog off and received a call an hour later saying that she tried to bite the groomer while receiving the hair cut. I understand the service couldn't be completed IF SHE ACTUALLY DID (which I don't believe) but they CLAIMED to have given her a bath, teeth brushing and partial haircut. My dog still has an Oder and her face is FILTHY!! Manager says she viewed video footage and the groomer "scrubbed" my dog etc. view my photo and tell me if this looks like a do that what's received professional bath. I called to see if my nearest location had my dogs specialty food and the representative that answered was sooo helpful. I also did not have to wait long on the phone and I appreciate that. Especially, when I am use to having the food delivered to my home, but forgot to have it shipped in time. She was very quick at checking their inventory and providing a swift answer. They have no regard for the safety of animals she put two slip leashes on her nearly choking my dog with both of them. they are very rude and refused to honor an appointment that I had made for just getting my puppy nails trimmed because she couldn't take a bath because she just had her ears drained. They confirmed the nail trim over the phone knowing I just wanted a nail trim and didn't want her to get a wet bath. What does a bath have to do with just a nail trim. I cannot believe that I have not reviewed the local PetSmart. This is a great location. Large store with tons of stuff. Their cat and dog sections are generous and offer a spectrum of foods so there is something for every budget and feeding regime. The toys are also copious, although, what's up with the prices? 8 bucks for a cat toy? Really? The prices are about the same as other places, so it's not just PetSmart, just sayin'. The place can get really busy on the weekends, so be aware. They also do adoption events. One thing to note, the store manager's pay is somewhat based on the total number of adoptions that happen out of the store. That's unfortunate, since it encourages less discriminating adoption policies. :-/ read more

The cashier that goes by Iva, was very rude and not welcoming at all! She didn't try to make conversation, smile, ANYTHING. She typed in the register what was needed and did the whole transaction without even saying anything to me. I would like to say that maybe she was just having a bad day but no, this is her normal demeanor with every interaction I've had with her. Maybe try putting her to stocking where she doesn't interact with customers. On the other hand and why I have two stars instead of one was because an African American gentleman who was stocking was able to help with my question about a product being restocked and when it might be available again. I like this Petsmart. I went there to have my 2 year old Havanese groomed. The woman in the grooming department were very nice and kind to him. They were very organized and on the ball. I could see three groomers working on dogs and they were all talking kindly to the dogs and seemed to be handling them very well. My dog was done right on time and his haircut looked great. He didn't have any nicks or cuts on him and the trim was even all over. The prices were reasonable too, $60 for a shampoo, cut and nail trim. My dog's food is always in stock and I've had a manager help me load up a big heavy bag before. Sometimes the lines can get pretty long and the aisles are very close to the registers so people end up snaking into aisles and blocking the walkway. read more

This store is smaller/older, but they do a good job at keeping all our favorites in stock. Their staff is exceptional. Everyone we've interacted have been knowledgeable about the pet products they carry and have good recommendations. They are also very helpful and friendly. My favorite aspect of this (and other) Petmarts is their dog training classes. They're affordable ($100 for a 6 week course) and convenient (evening classes once a week). They start with puppy classes and go all the way through advanced where they can apply for their Canine Good Citizen Certificate. We worked with Barbara, one of their trainers. at this location. She teaches using the positive reinforcement method (so don't show up with a choke collar) :) Besides teaching us the basics from the course, she was also very helpful in giving us advice and things to try to correct other problem behaviors our dog was exhibiting. We took all the classes and are proud to have a CGC graduate as part of our household. Having a well trained dog makes all the difference in the world. Our friends in Austin took their recently adopted german shepherd puppies to classes on our recommendation. Their whole family joined in to make sure everyone was teaching the same thing. We just visited them and those 5 months of shepherds stay in their place, don't jump up, they are polite and are just awesome dogs! I highly recommend that you take your dog to one of their classes to see how easy it is to teach your dog good habits while they're still young and trainable. I haven't tried out their clinic. I hear it's a good deal if you have a young puppy, but otherwise is pretty pricey. Our experience with the grooming service is minimal. We had poochie's nails trimmed and they did a good job interacting with her and keeping her calm. Just remember to bring your rabies vaccination papers. We had a dry run the first time around because we forgot that. read more

A place for people and there furry kiddos! :) Hehehe. I have always preferred PetSmart over any other pet store. I especially like this location because of the cleanliness and the way it is kept. Anytime i have had to make a run into this place whether it may be cat food, cat litter, dog food, treats, or the occasional toy for my kids everything is presented as if it was there grand opening. I appreciate going into a store where the employees are friendly and helpful. As far as the other services this store offers, i have not used them (Ex. dog grooming, veterinarian, dog behavior classes). My finace and i did adopt our kitten R'hllor from the adoption they have set up on Saturdays:) The adoption went smoothly and we had our new baby kitten (who isn't so little anymore) ready to take home within a couple hours:) read more

The pet store that we come to the most for our pet needs. Very friendly to the animals themselves - leashed and vaccinated pets are always welcome there, so you see some interesting things! Once or twice we've come for our choice cat food and find the shelves aren't stocked at all, but that corrected itself within the next couple of days. There's also a grooming room in the back where you can see dogs getting their haircuts. The animals always look well taken care of there, which goes really far. read more

We have taken our dogs through the CGC training and have found her to be quite patient and professional with the dogs. We did try 2 other trainers before we found this store. Ok totally annoyed with this place! I've had the plan less then 6months, so today my puppy jumped off the bed & hurt her leg. Can't get an appointment or walk-in until August... REALLY? There's only 1 doctor assigned to the location & they've had to cancel appointments & turn people away/send them to other locations. I'm paying for this plan obviously for a peace of mind, convenience & the security of knowing my pet is covered if anything happens. Well at this point non of this to actually happening right now. This location has the WORST customer service. I went in to get crickets for my green anole and the person at the cricket tank looked upset. Another person walked up to the station, looked at me, and begin talking to the other person about how they had "7 more minutes." I waited to be acknowledged. This is based on experience at New Caney PetSmart. Store not busy I walk in an go back to look at fish so to buy. Looked around for about 5-10 mins no one even comes up to ask if I need help. So I approach cashier she so one be with me shortly. I go back look fish, 5 mins later no one again approach cashier let her verbally want fish see her walk up to co-worker (may be mgnt do not ask). I walk back and picked out hand cyphon pump for fish tank still no one coming back to help . By this time been in store for 20 mins + and not a concern from anyone there ( maybe one other customers in store that I seen while there. I approach and yes not happy at this time to the co worker and ask if any one works here and she said I will be with on the business ph. Now this is the co-worker that cashier made aware at least 15 mons earlier. So after that I walk back to fish and 3 mins later she wlaks back to me complaining or reporting to some one she has an angry customer be he said he waited to long and wondering when person on phone will be there. So Ftrr that she finally hung up ph and asked ok what do you want. So I informed her I am aware she does not want my business and walked out. All I wanted was to buy some fish for my wife. Then made to feel like if I'm not willing to wait on PetSmart staff for well over 20 mins like I should not be upset, well if this is good with PetSmart will never give any of my pet business to them. read more

I went to have my dogs groomed at 10:00. I received a call at 2pm telling me to come get my dogs as their AC had gone out earlier (that means my dogs had been sitting there hot for hours). When I arrived the temp in the office was 100 degrees (measurd by the thermometer on their wall) and only one of my dogs had been able to be done. The other was washed but no trim. One of the groomers had stated that the AC problem had been an issue for about 2 months but this time it had completely gone out. Now here is where I have a question...why wasn't the problem addressed 2 months ago when it started to go out? The place was hot, the groomers doing their best to stay cool but I was shocked that the store manager who I spoke to on the phone really just wanted to interrupt me and get me off the phone so he did not have to listen to my concerns at which point I had to tell him that "this is where I talk and you listen as this is a serious customer issue". He still kept rambling on so I just hung up the phone. Overall, I don't shop their or have my dogs groomed their anymore. read more

Starting out our day off my girlfriend and I went to Petco to look at fish, ferrets and cats. Walking into the store we see a group of 4 employees standing around and talking. all women. After us addressing the group, casually shouting, "hey, good morning. how are yall doing?" we recieved no response and a few glares. Then we started looking at the Betta's on the left side of the store when walking in, which were neatly organized. We then proceeded to the "wall of fish" that was girlfriend was initially estatic to see until we stopped counting dead fishin multiple different tanks after 20 and moved to the ferret section. They are so freaking adorable by the way. After looking for an employee we only found 1 of the intial ladies at the wall of fish. We asked her if we could hold one of the ferrets that my girlfriend had previously done at petco's before. She told us that we could not because it would stress them out. Rather we could come on the weekend during as she said "busiest hours" 11-12 when they "probably" had the ferrets out for "everyone to pet them". Store regulations or propper handlers, maybe, but stressing them out? Are you kidding me? After that incident we walked up to the rescue cats and stuck our fingers through the little holes petting Rags who was so lovingly rubbing on the glass and our fingers wanting to be pet. Then we proceeded to go ask the same store employee if we could possibly pet Rags for a few minutes. To which she replied that they were not the stores cats at all! They were only HSPCA's and that they could only clean, rewater and feed the cats in the morning. If she was to take one out now and a dog ran in and the cat ran out, it would "be their responibliity". But ofcourse we can come back on the weekend and pet them along with the ferrets if we would like. After that we decided we were about to leave when we saw another store employee walking in presumbly for the beginning of his shift. After seeing him looking for people to assist even asking my girlfriend is everything was alright when talking to the lady about petting the cats. I personally wanted to see how he would handle the same situation of asking to pet the ferrets to which he replied, "ofcourse let me grab the key real quick." After walking to the front counter, and catching a few words from the lady employee that previously took care of us. He said it would be one moment and walked to the employee room near the restrooms. We stood around looking at the ferrets and cats for about another 20-25 minutes before saying forget it and leaving. To conclude we will probably never return to this location because of the customer service and disrespect from the employees. The lady's name was Jamie. I do not know the guys name, although he was the only guy working at 1. And for the other 3 ladies we saw, well... we only saw them when we walked in the store for the whole hourish visit. read more

I made an appointment for my bichon for express cut for Saturday early am. The clerk who took the appointment down made a mistake and put me down for Friday. When I got there at 7 am they informed me that the appointment was not for that day and that I would have to reschedule. I was upset so I spoke to their so called manager 'Brittney" who was rude and walked away from me as I requested the corporate address and number to complain. This was not the first time this type of thing has happened. Her attitude was ridiculous and there was no customer service or resolution to the issue.
