I enrolled my pup Bowser for the three week board and train program with Madelyn. Right off the bat the communication from her and the staff was above and beyond. The twice weekly report cards with a photo and update of how my boy was doing warmed my heart and made the parting a much easier. I was also able to visit and have one on one instruction time frequently with Madelyn after the first week adjustment period. My little man came home from school a well mannered gentleman and with the detail instructions from his trainer on how to continue his structure at home, I feel very confident in his continued good behavior as well as how to correct any issues. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Wet Nose, hard to even understand the negative reviews some others have left. We chose Wet Nose based on a lot of really good reviews here and at other sites. We had a big home remodeling project getting ready to start and having our 7 month old lab puppy in the middle of it just wasn't going to work. My wife was looking for a place to board her for 3 weeks and stumbled on to Wet Nose Lodge & Spa. Not only could we board her in what looked like very nice accommodations but also pay a bit more and get AKC certified puppy training in basic obedience. Sounded like a win/win for my wife and I and the dog. We dropped her off and spent an hour with Victoria who would be her trainer during the next 3 weeks. She went over what she would be doing and what was expected of us when our puppy returned home. We agreed and every day we got an email report card on her progress as well as pictures of her. We also got to see her in pictures and videos on their FB page. We saw her socializing with lots of other dogs her size, playing on the nice doggy playground equipment and even out dancing around happily in the snow! The outdoor area has astro-turf which makes for a better experience for the dogs, especially when it is wet outside. They also have a doggie swimming pool for fun in the warmer months. When we picked her up she was a completely different dog! I won't say she was perfect, after all she is still a puppy but she was so much better at controlling herself, greeting others and even sitting at a doorway while we opened the door instead of pushing us out of the way to get there! The day we picked her up she had had a thorough grooming, her coat was all smooth and silky and she smelled great, her dog nails were not only clipped but polished and smooth. We had 3 in home follow up lessons with Victoria and we continue to work with her as she improves every day. We plan to leave her there again later this year for the next level of training. Let's be honest, 21 days of boarding, day care and dedicated obedience training was not inexpensive but we felt it was really worth what we paid, the old saying that you get what you pay for is true. We met Coleman, the owner and he was super nice and really knew dog training. What's more he is a Veteran and it is an honor for us to help support a veteran owned business. One thing Coleman does is to take in dogs from shelters to give them basic training at no cost so they will be more likely to be adopted but also better canine citizens. We plan to continue to use WNS&L, both for additional training, boarding and daycare and even grooming. read more

We had been using Wet Nose for a few months, trusting our 2 shelties to their care. A few times we would drop them off for a full day of daycare, leaving both their lunch and dinner. A couple of times they admitted that no one had bothered to feed them their dinner. We continued to trust them nonetheless with the care of our pets. The last straw occurred about a week ago. My wife made an appointment for grooming, dropped both of our dogs off with their lunch. When she checked on them that afternoon, she was told that no one had remembered that they were there. They went the full day without food, no grooming, no attention, basically abandoned. Naturally we were offended, irate. All we received as an excuse was that there was a miscommunication between the front desk receptionist and the groomer, no one took responsibility. Even with the trust broken, we dropped them off once more for day camp, only to be told when we picked them up that we were no longer welcomed at their establishment per orders of the owner (an owner we never met or talked to). Apparently complaining to the poor receptionist about the so-called miscommunication was too offensive to her. This after she intimated that my wife's accent somehow was a source of her confusion. It's a pity that a couple of young ladies working there that lack basic civility, manners, education, or even empathy can tarnish this establishment, but God bless them. With so many dogs entrusted to their care, I can imagine that our dogs have not been the only ones that have been forgotten while in their care. Take your dogs and your money elsewhere. read more

Unfortunately, I spoke with the owner of the facility, which I've never met before. We had some issues with our credit card company, which we told the young ladies and provided new payment details. I tried calling the owner only to be called childish, and a criminal. He hung up on me after I tried to discuss the issues with him. I'm not sure if it is a racial issue or not as he has never met me. Perhaps he is just a businessman with zero customer service skills. He has NEVER contacted me about the issues until today after being given no time to resolve the issue he blocked us from services. I tried to ask where I could pay him and he refused. Long story short invest your money else where. He cares nothing about retaining long time loyal customers The employees are super nice, the groomer etc but THIS GUY, I can only imagine how he speaks to the staff and other customers. Well, probably not the best as it's a completely new staff in under a year of taking my dog here. I have attached the email I was sent about the issue. Reading all the other reviews the only tip I can give is a referral to psychology today. Stop, get some help Mr. Coleman. Update within minutes of posting: he text me threatening me about fraudulent charges. Mind you I've been coming to Wetnose for about a YEAR. We were just there Saturday! And paid over $100 for grooming and daycare. This debate is literally about $50 dollars if that. Which can EASILY be paid but he refused payment. It's plenty of other reviewers saying wetnose over charged them. Which is the case as we were charged for 1 day our dog did not go to Daycare. AGAIN, we let the girls know we were having credit card issues and PROVIDED OTHER PAYMENT METHODS!!! Spoke with my bank and our dispute was VALID they OVER CHARGED US TWICE!! On one hand my dog really gets excited when we go, which is a good sign. On the other we've had a string of bad experiences and just can't get good with them anymore. - I dropped my dog off for a play day, and another dog attacked him. I was called and told that he just had a small knick and that he was already outside playing again. When we picked him up it was definitely more then a knick and the wound had a white film over it. We ended up at his veterinarians office that night and she was not pleased because it was clear that some form of liquid band-aid was applied and it limited the care she could provide. I did speak to the owner on this matter and after playing word games all day with him, was told " well my staff says they didn't". - Our dog is on Apoquel for his allergies, and it is not a cheap medication. The last three times we have boarded him and sent his medications we pick him up and mysteriously are missing large quantities said medication. We have asked the staff each time if they know where the rest is, mostly to make sure that our dog wasn't overdosed, and each time are told they will pass the information along and never get back to us. Not only is this concerning because I can not be certain our dog is receiving the correct dosage, it is frustrating because our vet will only re-fill his prescription once her prescribed dose timeframe as expired. So now I am stuck with my dog not receiving the medications he needs and nothing has been done. Like I said above, our dog loves coming to play here and is always excited to see those that work here. BUT, I do not feel comfortable or feel letting my dog come here anymore. read more

Our pups Springer and Bregs LOVE wet nose! They go to daycare to play frequently and always come home happy and tired. They get so excited when we pull into the parking lot and I love how much the employees love and take care of them! We have boarded them there 10+ times over the years and have never had a complaint! I was having my floors redone at the house and needed somewhere for my extremely hyper dog to go. Found their day care program. My dog absolutely loved it! He gets so excited as soon as we pull on the street. The owners really take care and pride in business and in their employees. They all are well educated in dogs and training. By the end of the first day my dog was happily playing with dogs of all sizes. I liked that the owner is there watching and helping the animals play and learn. My floors are finished, but will still take my pup to their day care. read more

I thought I would try a new place and called the day before for pricing. I was told bathing was 10 and grooming was 20. With a bow or bandanna. I got an appointment since it was about what I usually pay for a 6 pound dog to be groomed. I dropped her off and was notified a couple of hours later she was ready for pickup. I went to pay and the charge was $48.00 almost $20.00 more than I was told just the day before. I questioned the price difference and was shown the price list that shows $48.00. I stated that was not what I was told yesterday. I was extremely dissatisfied as I could have gotten it for $30. And not had to drive into Humble but I thought I was giving a new business a chance! Never again!!! Also the grooming was not as good as I usually get for $30. I certainly would expect more for $48 as I do not spend this much for my own haircuts. read more

Do not take your dog here!! When I picked up my dog after boarding, I was waiting for them to finish grooming him and I heard him barking and yelping on the other side of the door. When he came out, his back feet were bleeding and I looked and noticed that she trimmed most of his back nails WAAAAAY too short and cut deep into the quick. It was shocking and disgusted. I boarded our dog for 6 days at Wet Nose. I picked her up today and she had poop all over legs and body. The employee said it was mud when they brought her out and used wipes to try and clean her. I didn't know it was poop until she got in the car and the stench of poop was terrible. She was in heat wearing diapers when we dropped her off, which they said was not an issue. Only 2 diapers were used the whole time and she was still bleeding when she got home. She is a very sweet dog and seemed very sad and not herself when we picked her up. The kennels where she stayed were little concrete areas that were super noisy. The bedding provided for the standard boarding was thin bath mats, but the email I received stated plush bedding and/or blankets would be provided. We have more vitamin supplements remaining in her bag than should be left based upon the dosage instructions provided at drop off. It appeared that she hadn't been fed yet for the day when we picked her up at 10:00 a.m. read more

My husky, Moody, has had entire behavioral adjustment. He received level 2 training. At 2 yrs old, he was very wild when I dropped him off. After 21 days there's a complete turn around. He is still just as loving and full of personality, however, now he is very cognizant. We enjoyed the daily report cards. Wet nose is a great place with a bright future. We went out of town this past weekend and my Fur baby has the pleasure of staying here. The staff was very friendly. We also received nightly cards by email with pictures of our baby while we were away. On our way home we had an emergency and couldn't pick him up in time and they had no problem extending his stay until the next morning. I think we have found our new pet resort that gives the same care to our baby as we do. Will definitely use them again. read more

Wet Nose Lodge is amazing. Victoria worked with my dog on training and she is doing 1000 times better. She doesn't pull on her leash and can finally enjoy a walk through our neighborhood without being distracted or pulling me where she wants to go. She also participated in daycare and they post her pics on Facebook which I love! When all my pups board they let them go out together and potty. They send me daily updates on how they are all doing including how they are eating which I love because I know I hey can be picky. They also offer individual playtime for my other pup who doesn't do well with other dogs which is amazing because she is a wild child who needs lots of exercise. We are so pleased with the results of Max's obedience training. He has done so well. The staff was very responsive to any of my inquiries or requests. Coleman was an excellent trainer. A major factor for choosing Wet Nose Lodge and Spa was their visitation policy. The only downside is that I'm not trained as well as Max. I'm enjoying my learning curve. I plan to continue our relationship with doggy daycare and occasional boarding. read more

We just used this facility for the second time. Our first stay for our 3 mini schnauzers was back in March 2018 and we paid $75 per day for a deluxe suite. Since then they've changed their name and raised their prices. I just picked up my girls and was shocked to see that the rate was now $150 per day (which included a surcharge for the holiday week that we were not told about). According to management they sent out an e-mail blast with their new rates. Which, had this been a 10% or 20% increase and I missed the e-mail, that would have been understandable. But a 100% increase? That's not a sufficient way to notify customers. There was nothing on the counter to indicate new rates when we checked in and no one asked me if I was aware of their new rates (which went into effect within the past 30 days) when I called to book the stay. A 9 day stay with $90 in grooming charges totaled $1,416.12. They claim to send daily updates on your dogs. We received one picture per day of one of our dogs and the update had only one dogs name. Each person's opinion is different but I feel $150 per day for 3 dogs to share one room is just too much money. read more

I'm extremely disappointed, and saying I'm unsatisfied is an understatement. My dogs have been boarding and grooming here for a while now, while it was still Fetch Pet Resort & Spa to be exact. We never had any issue before, my dogs loved it there. However, we were never notified of the change of businesses (which is now Wet Nose) or any new policies. We brought the dogs in to board a few weeks ago and were told last minute about the price increase, which is absolutely absurd to begin with as it's almost double what it used to be. But we had no choice but to pay that price as they had already been scheduled to board and we had to leave town. We were going to let it go and just pay double what we used to, as our dogs love it there and we didn't want to switch facilities and add any stress unnecessarily. Fast forward to this previous week. We dropped our dogs off on Tuesday morning, about 7:30. Not once were we notified of ANY new policy at this facility. I had to ask the girl checking us in about any new checkout policy as I saw on their new website about a new checkout time of Noon. Had I not asked the girl, I would've been charged an extra $25 just to get my dogs. Then the girl confirmed that we let them graze all day long, so just leave food out for them. I look at the webcam at 3:30 that same day, still no food. We had to call 2 SEPARATE times to get enough food in their for both dogs. They should have never gone 8 HOURS without food. Had we not called, they probably wouldn't have been fed at all that day. That's just one of MANY issues we had during the same visit. While they cleaned out my dogs room, instead of taking them on a walk, they just put them in another room (with leashes around their necks, which should be against policy because my dogs could've choked each other out). I have screenshots of this. As well as another guests's babies were left with poop in their room ALL DAY!! Clearly no one had taken them out for a walk, which means mine didn't go out either. I have screenshots of this as well. We called to inform them that there had been dog poop in the other room all day and they needed to take them out on a walk, as they clearly haven't already. After this call, the webcams were conveniently shut off. I started to panic, I pay for this webcam and use it to ensure my dogs' safety. This was after hours too, which is also convenient. So I had to have a friend GO UP THERE first thing in the morning to check on the well being of my dogs. That's when they finally decided to say they will be discontinuing the webcams and weren't aware we still had access. This is a bold face lie, we called 3 separate times regarding the webcams and weren't told ONE TIME about the discontinuation of their webcam service. I went 3 days without the webcam that I PAY FOR. And not to mention, EVERY time we called there was no manager or owner on duty!! We had to email them and tell them that a manager or owner NEEDS to be there when we pick up! Finally when we picked up our dogs on Saturday, the owner/manager or whatever you want to call him, was smug and argumentative during the whole exchange. We explained how we were upset about having to call to get the dogs some food after 8 hours of being there, them being left in another room instead of taken on another walk, poop being in the other room for hours on end, and the biggest issue-- the webcams. We NEVER received ONE email from Fetch Pet OR Wet Nose about a business change or new policies. Had we known that they were discontinuing the webcams, we could've left our dogs at their vet for HALF the price with just as nice of a room, plus a run! After explaining all of this, he just continued to argue instead of admitting they were wrong. Any returning customer should have been notified about any new business or policy changes well in advance!!! He really didn't seem to care at all, which is actually quite disgusting to me. I do not appreciate his smug, argumentative, attitude, as we have been loyal customers. I WILL NOT be returning, and will let everyone how dishonest this facility is!!! read more
