I really enjoy this location because it's close and always feels huge. I came for Christmas presents for the dogs and saw so much more! I saw lizards and Guinea pigs and critters in cages! I needed dog pillows and big dog bones.. I managed to get what I came for but I got side tracked looking at other things like dog clothes! I have a German Shepard so it could only go large or close but not sure which so I left that alone. I could go nuts in here because they have so many things for your pets plus they have the cat rescue in the back where you can adopt a cat!! This place is great but dangerous for wallet!!

    Post "nailgrind"

Normally take my dog elsewhere these days but he really needed a nail grind.. 20 dollars later he still needs a nail grind.

DOG ABUSE!! My boyfriend took his 7 MONTH OLD PUPPY here to get groomed. He got a call an hour later saying that he needed to pick his puppy up because he had bit the groomer. When we asked why he had bit her, we were told it was because he was nervous and wasn't staying still so they had to "bop" him. Which then caused him to bite her. I could not believe he had bit somebody since he is not an aggressive puppy. If they feared he would bite they had the option to put a muzzle on him, which they chose not to do. We were handed our puppy back still wet and they still had us pay the full price of the grooming. Also, while we were there waiting for them to hand us our puppy, we watched as another groomer man-handled the dog he was grooming. He slammed the dogs behind on the grooming table and told it to "stop moving." Do not take your dog here to get groomed unless you want them mistreated.

My sweet dogs birthday is today and they pulled all the stops to ensure he looks, smelled and felt pampered. We went shopping for birthday gifts. Of course, the toy section is expensive and they actually had a lot out of stock areas this time around.

I was stopping in at PetSmart this weekend to grab some treats for my dogs when I heard a cat meowing. Long story short someone had abandoned their cat outside of PetSmart. My friend brought it in and PetSmart said they would take it in until people from a program could come get it. I'm appreciative of how they responded to us and the kitten. It was very cold outside!

NOT TRIMMED. LITERALLY SHAVED OFF OF THE TOP AT AN ANGLE.

Also on our larger dog who really needed a nail trimming, the other "groomer" only cut off the very tips of her nails. FAR from the quick. What a waste of $25. I can't tell if this was just laziness, wanting to get things over with quickly or both. If you want to pay for a service only to have to finish it yourself and waste money, this is the place.

I took my anxious Australian Shepard to the grooming salon and they were great! Maddy groomed him and I would recommend her most definitely!

We did the private, one on one training sessions with Jerica to learn focus, sit, down, stay, come, loose leash walking leave it, and door manners. Jerica is a great trainer who is very patient and responds to emails quickly. Each training session consisted of 40 minutes talking and 20 minutes of actual training. You need to be consistent and work with your dog at home. If you're looking for a place to actually work with your dog, this is not for you. Camp Mutt trains the owner and not your dog. The only reason I knocked off one star is their training methods doesn't work for every dog. I was told by the owner, my puppy would be walking on a collar by the end of the session. However, that was not the case. They sold me a prong collar for excessive pulling. I was also told they offer socialization in which we never met another puppy at Camp Mutt. I did everything exactly how I was told and my puppy simply did not pick up some skills. I strongly suggest taking your puppy to Ridgeside K9 Carolinas for their $10 socialization puppy classes. This is the moment where my puppy started being more obedient and calm. Ridgeside also worked with my dog and gave me correction advice when leash walking wasn't working at Camp Mutt. My puppy wasn't perfect after all the training which was a little disappointing. He's still very much a work in progress but there's only so much you can learn in a short amount of time. I wish they offered some program for post training support instead of emailing. If given the option to redo training, I'd much rather go to Ridgeside. A suggestion for Camp Mutt is to teach the "place" command during the 40 minutes of talking each session. It's a highly valuable skills that I was surprised it wasn't taught.

She has been doing really well, she's still a puppy and started to develop a fear of bicycles, after a biker ran into her and knocked her down. They are under new management, so if you ever hear anything negative it was before Kristen took over. We are getting another doberman and will be sending her for training too.

From my first conversation, this decision was never met with an issue in our communications which was my reason for moving forward with training my pup with this fabulous duo. There was great communication, and lots of post regarding my Odin's progress between in person visits. My wants in training were clearly defined, discussed and implemented over his in-stay with the facility. I had some reservations with my tiny 3lb spoiled puppy with his paw lotion, eye wipes and holiday themed attire amongst giant working dogs at first; but it was shortly deemed irrelevant as he decided he was just a big dog in disguise disputing my attempts otherwise lol! I am very grateful for the leadership, knowledge and help WCDT has given myself and my pup. Taking on a new puppy was not part of my 2025, and I am very appreciative of the advice and knowledge extended with the program offered. (As well as the minor therapist sessions in listening to me talk about my dog that had recently passed; I appreciate that more than I can express.) I would 100% recommend!

I was referred to Wild Child from our local PetSmart. I inquired through email for their Stay and Train program as I wanted my dog to be boarded but also not forget his training or pick up bad habits. My dog stayed here for 5 days. I obsessively stalked their Instagram for updates as they post cute videos of my dog once a day. I can tell he was well taken care of and so happy to be there. Upon pickup, I felt like my dog was a new boy! They worked on him with door manners and he doesn't bolt out the door. My other concern was jumping on people. We passed by a man and my dog actually sat down right in front of him and got lots of pets! I was so impressed!! My dog also seemed more relaxed. He was a hyper furball who needed to be up and running 24/7 before I dropped him off at Wild Child. Now he's okay with laying down and chilling. He is also fine with taking naps in his crate now! He used to bark for hours on end when I crate him during the day. I can't wait to take him back. My dog seemed very sad to leave this facility and I'm sure he would be so thrilled to return. Thank you for taking great care of my furbaby.

Take constructive criticism and dominate your area of expertise instead of throwing a public fit in an attempt to discredit the problem. ‍ Took my dogs here for extended stay training. NEVER AGAIN. I was blessed that the hurricane caused me to come get my dogs early. My girl had lost 13 pounds (she's regularly 90 pounds lean)and my boy 24 (regularly 160). Both dogs ribs and spines were exposed. They were gaunt and sickly looking. It broke my heart to feel how tiny my big dogs were. I immediately took them to the vet who was concerned for their hydration levels and weightloss. She mentioned "dogs tend to lose weight while they are here because of all the training." Complete B_LL SH!T. My dogs are bread to work. They move miles a day. She'd have to march them nonstop to explain that weight loss. STRIKE F_CKING ONE. Samantha is very responsive to emails and calls until your dogs are under her care. SHE IGNORES CALLS,TEXTS, AND EMAILS and only provides information she feels is necessary, she doesn't answer your questions. STRIKE TWO My two dogs were healthy. They walked 4+ miles a day and were very athletic when I dropped them off. They also go through (together 150 pounds of dog food a month plus 6 pounds of chicken treats, 12 twelve inch bulley sticks, and a two pound bag of duck jerkey) a healthy amount of food every month. I dropped of 75 pounds of dog food and the treats. I asked Samantha repeatedly 3-4 weeks in if the dogs were out of food. She ignored me. I sent them with half the food they needed and planned of shipping the rest direct from amazon. She never answered me. I've never been so scared for the well being of my children before. What an unbelievable nightmare. Chief and Reagan have a special diet. One of the things she put on the list was Vienna sausages. We do not feed our dogs canned food or processed anything. Raw food, whole food, or limited ingredient dog food because they are both sensitive in the tummy one throws up and the other loose leaky bowels. When they eat normal food they are perfectly healthy. She posted pictures of my girl taking a Vienna sausage as a treat. You can not trust her. STRIKE THREE My boy, who I have handled since he was 8 weeks old was afraid to take treats from my hands when I got him back. STRIKE FOUR Both dogs are long haired, inside dogs and not made for heat. She keeps the dogs krated in her garage. Do we even think it's climate controlled? Every time I think about this it makes me ill. STRIKE FIVE She needs to be put out of business. FOOD DEPRIVATION TO FORCE A BOND AND TO GAIN CONTROL has a purpose but not for an extended period of time and with weight loss like this clearly it goes on indefinitely. STRIKE SIX And it is never ok to hit a dog especially in the face (deny it all you want there is no other reason for this behavioral change) My boy wouldn't even look my in the face. No hand feeding of treats and he was skin and bones. STRIKE SEVEN They absolutely were not taken care of and those dogs were krated the majority of the time. They had sores on their underbellies from laying. STRIKE EIGHT WAIT.... She's been out for a while now. I would NEVER, EVER trust a living creature to this woman or her business. She violated our contract not keeping our dogs healthy or caring for them appropriately. We did not finish out the remaining 4 weeks.
